They go through everything left on Thursday night they dont want sold for a dollar or less & save it or send to another store??? Its also come to my attention that they arent even low key it anymore because when you walk in on Friday half the store is off limits & ill see the shoes that should be a dollar today no longer for sale!! As a matter of fact they take your ability to buy things from you while youre standing there!!! One week the had window blinds on the shelves, and they took up a great.deal of shelf space, & that was the plan...they had them.there because they took so much space it made everything else look more plentiful but.as i started looking through them some women were beside me going through stuff & had attitudes while doing it. Before too long a guy showed up &.started to look at the blinds too, while im still trying to guage size & looking at colors i can hear a man tell the man buying blinds too that he couldnt get anymore or look anymore & were being nasty about being questioned why & atcted as if you were challenging them! Gave me a bad feeiing so thought id better hurry! Turns out those two women were actually plain clothed emplyees &.had taken my stuff!!! I asked if they had &.both swore they hadnt. I knew they had, so i stepped away from the blinds to look where they had been & yes, they had taken everything but i was able to find a few items & when i got my stuff and turned around back towards the blinds he was blocking off the area i.was in!!! They werent for sale anymore suddenly!! About a month later some reappeared but the small ones or the colors that didnt sell well Online or in Thats Cheap after all! Those women werent dressed in anything that would indicate they were employees so they just looked like people that were going through first a bin, but then started filling the same one from items on the shelves!! They were taking things someone didnt think should be sold for $2 dollars & removing them & were unimaginably rude & acted entitled even though they managed this while acting as though they were unable to speak or understand what i was saying!! The staff has become unidentifiable except for the fact they are too rude & pushy to even be an over zealous buyer!! I have heard some of the employees that do speak & are clearly workers speak to some customers in ways i found unacceptable!! Speaking to the people who are buying the stuff like they are a doing them a favor for addressing them at all, youre lucky they say excuse me before suddenly coming over and taking the bin that you were searching & wheeling it away while you have to move quick or they will run you over & cant follow them to fill another with the contents of the one you WERE looking through & wasnt anywhere near empty but because the other would look more appealing completely behaviors i guess their attitudes & behavior must go unchecked so impatience at having to deal with customers is very clear at the ARDEN BLVD store your money & wanting to spend it seems an interference & an unwanted hinderance to them doing THIER JOB seeming to forget what & who provides that job. This is a review for Elk Grove location only. I have been bidding with RL since they opened (maybe 7 or 8 years ago?) on Richards Blvd. in Sacramento. Have spent 10's of thousands of $$ there. I understand the risk. Have bought items that I found out were broken after I picked them up, not a big deal mostly, part of the game (buyer beware, go preview, etc.). I have bought from Sacramento location, Stockton, Modesto, and Marysville and had good luck. Not so Elk Grove. I bought a Coleman camping stove from them, that pictures made it appear it was new in box. When I got the stove and opened the box, the stove was complete trash. It looked like someone had lit it on fire. The tank was damaged and burned, and all of the paint was burned off the stove. One of the wing doors was missing. When I went back to return it the manager said tough luck, I should have previewed. DO NOT BID ON ITEMS AT ELK GROVE LOCATION. CROOKS. read more

********CUSTOMERS BEWARE******* I won an auction and after I paid for it I found out the item had severe damage not shown in the pictures. When brought to the attention of staff they said even if the pictures didn't show the damage I should have assumed it was broken. Why would this company purposely take pictures of items in a way that hides obvious damage. The only reason I could think of is because they are scammers and think people will be okay with buying worthless trash and then refuse a refund. I'm actually obsessed with RL liquidators. We recently purchased a home and like 90% of our furniture and kitchen appliances came from these auctions. We've already saved more than $2000 by purchasing from RL as opposed to regular retailers and will continue to monitor their auctions for additional items. A few times there has been a flaw on an item, or missing hardware, but they provide a disclaimer very clearly on their website that this may occur since these items are returns. All appliances have worked just fine. Their rules are also outlined very clearly. Pay within 5 days of auction win, pick up items within 10 days. They will not refund your money if you don't pick up your items on time and they warn you of this! This location is behind a building down a narrow alley and was not busy at all on a Tuesday afternoon. I rushed over to pick up a gorgeous fireplace mantel I won for only $15!!! This same exact one retails for $200 on Wayfair! The other location on 10th is just down the street which is convenient if you have to pick up at both locations. You take the good with the bad here, but it's been mostly good in our experiences. My boyfriend and I are grateful we found this place and will continue to furnish our home with RL. read more

Reason why I find BIDRL worthy of five Yelp stars and have told all my friends and family about them: Bargains - Yes you will get tons of great bargains. But with the reward there is some risk. I've bought items that were amazing deals like a almost new working condition Human Touch Massage Chair worth $1600 refurbished for $150. Tens of thousands of dollars and thousands of items later I don't remember the items which didn't work out because the benefits and dollars saved outweigh the loses. RL has saved my family and I thousands of dollars a year. Customer support - They are clear and transparent with their policies. Read the terms and conditions when you are signing up to bid. They will enforce these rules and there is nothing wrong with that. When issues arise they are reasonable and their decisions are logical. We appreciate that they are upfront and have always had good engagement with Laura and Anthony. Treat them with respect and they will do the same. Just because some customers feel they should be the exception does not mean they have to oblige by your beliefs of what good customer service should be. In my personal experience when their staff says they will do something they will do it. In the last almost three years I have not had any issues with the way they handle issues, perhaps that is because we have reasonable expectations. Take some responsibility. As an adult you make a decision to buy a product sight unseen in some cases and thus you should take responsibility for your actions and should not force your buyer's remorse on the company when their return policy is clear. Nothing upsets my husband and me more than when we see people complaining about the items they chose to buy expecting brand new unblemished items or because they misunderstood what the item was. Why give these nice people at RL a hard time when you made the decision to buy that item knowing fully well that in most cases they are not brand new. At the end of the day I will continue to support, promote, and patronize RL because the good deals are always there to be had. You just have to take the chance. Just today I bought a brand new couch tags still on for $70.21... really where else will you get this kind of deal! Won several items at RL Liquidators Sacramento. BidRL removed one item from my invoice after 4 days (that item would have cost $230 online but I snagged it for less then $50 incl tax and fees). No explanation why, no "we are sorry" or anything. When I questioned them they said that item should have not been posted as a bidding item and it was supposed to go to another store of theirs. All that after I already WON the item. BS! Do they know that online auctions are binding contracts as well? Photos of items at this location are always blurry (purposely?), or almost non-existent. They often take 1! Pic of an item and then expect you to bid on it. I drive almost 2 hours to get there so there is no way I can preview items. I would probably buy more if the pictures would be better and they would honestly disclose what they know. Also, staff at oversized is very slow. You have to check and make sure you get the correct items. I got handed a rug that was similar in Letters and Numbers to the one I won but it wasn't my item. If I didn't know what I bid on I would have walked away with someone else's item. Go to Woodland or Santa Rosa- those locations are awesome read more

This review is for the Sac location.RL Liquidators is a double edged sword. I have got a lot of great stuff from there, but they misrepresent their items, purposely use a blurry camera to take pics, and previewing items is difficult as they make you wait forever and they make it seem like a hassle. It has taken me up to an hour to preview what ended up being a broken laptop. Want to pick up that air fryer you won and didn't know was broken and still dirty from the person who returned it? Well you will probably wait an hour for them to pull it for you. You will be the only one there and employees will be standing around talking to each other. Then other customers will come in and get their items before you. The items for sale are usually defective. Furniture will have obvious damage, but not damage you can see in the pics. Electronics rarely work. I previewed a portable Li Ion battery box that could run something with a 110 plug. It worked, but someone removed the battery from the device by the time I had won the auction. This left me with a $75 piece of trash. This company is shady af and is designed to rip you off. They have weird hours so you show up when they are closed. If you don't pick up your item they sell it again. They charge a crazy tax and premium fee. $115 air pods actually come out to around $150 after tax. The photo will show sealed in box airpods, but what you get is damaged open box airpods. Honestly, these places are necessary, but should be regulated heavily as it is designed to rip you off. Just read the reviews. read more

If the item doesnt have a picture that it powers on, expect it to be broken. There will be hidden crack, bent, and most of the time damaged item. They buy damaged or broken item to sell it to us. Don't forget that there will be 12% tax and 15% premium fee. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU ARE A HORDER OF BROKEN ITEMS. Unless you can afford to go there and check the item, go ahead. The bidding site does not honour their commitment to a bid closing time. Bidding continues way past the closing time. This is not related to the two minute rule where if a bid is placed within the last two minutes of the closing time, the bidding is extended 2 minutes. Bidding was extended more than 4 hours past the listed closing time on the item I bid on with no bids in the last two minutes. Their terms and conditions are very clear and what happened was not in line with that. read more

Stay Away. Company purposely deceives by posting pictures that hide damage. Items will have a return tag on the box from the retailer saying it is damaged or defective and they will not post that in the listing. Bad business and not transparent. If they posted the information people can bid accordingly but the company inflates prices by not disclosing condition information then hides behind "You should have previewed the item before bidding". I don't know about everyone else but I don't have time to drive down to preview an item just because the company is not transparent. The Customer Service is non existent and emails are ignored. 50% of the items are damaged where you have to just throw away. So bake that in to your purchases and you should have just waited for the same item to go on sale and purchase new. To future employees, to anyone who would like to work here, DON'T. As a former employee who has seen wrongful termination, you will need a lawyer on deck if you decide to start working here. They fired 3 people for the same thing except one person was actually letting her friends steal while the other two actually did their job while walking on egg shells to make sure everything they did was right. This place over works you while you're understaffed, they will never give you a raise while they overwork you, they expect a lot of from and give you crumbs at the end of every day. Corporate is family and family of friends, BidRL manager is related to the owner of the place, district managers are related to one another and even to corporate so if you have complaints and you think they will never get resolved, you are right! Problems with bidrl? Oh well. The manager will not help you because this is his families comany. They've already closed a ton of stores so far and I'm sure it's because of poor poor management and wrongful termination. Selection, value, it all sucks. My worse regret after spending over $5,600 dollars with this organization is not that a 1/3 of the items were damaged. I can deal with that. My worse regret is not that they conveniently sell you items they know consciously are damaged or have missing parts. To be honest I got more good things than bad, otherwise, I would not spend so much money. My regret was not going to review items when it was usually inconvenient for them to have one of their employees available for showing, they are so busy, or that their rules work more in their favor than to protect their client. After all, you are not the only one betting. They are betting on you not seeing the damaged items with some of the blurry images or betting on you that you won't pick up your items in 5 days, consequently, you won't be able to keep your items or your money. They are betting that you won't go and check the items before you buy it because is not worth your trip for $15-$20 items. They are betting on your hunger to bet more than what the items are worth and you are left with an overpriced, useless item in your garage or worse your recycle bin. What I regret the most is not reading these reviews before. For those seeing nothing wrong with the way these people are conducting business, it will be a matter of time when I see you back here sharing your experience with RL. This review is specifically for the Rancho Cordova location. I've been bidding with bidrl for over 2 years mainly at the Sockton, Sacramento, galt and Elk Grove locations, but we recently moved closer to Rancho Cordova and since it's the closest we thought we'd give it a chance. In all my experience with bidrl I've never bought so many used, damaged, dirty, and/or incomplete items in so little time. Out of the 7 items I recently purchased all of them had been returns and most of them were defective. In fact, we bought a diaper genie with a solid looking box, but the pictures failed to show the obvious poo on the underside of the lid. I understand "buyer beware" with this particular business, but at least the other branches thoroughly inspected their items and marked incomplete, missing, or damaged. You can try your luck with these guys or stick with the better branches that mostly have new product with damaged boxes. read more

I won a bid on a bathtub and picked it up from The Richards BLVD location. While driving away I noticed a large defect in the front that wasn't in the descriptions or pics, so I turned around and brought it back. The employee was nice and offered me a one time refund, since I was a first time customer, and suggested next time I come to look at the item first, fair. However I paid $500 for it and it was supposed to be refunded back to my account in a couple days. That was over a month ago. They have ignored all my emails and phone calls and I still haven't gotten my money back! I'd be ware of doing business with them, or at least drive down to look at your items first, especially if your are spending a large amount of money. read more

Employee admitted there software glitches but offered no resolution. Gave me number in Sacramento that went to voice mail. Still no call back. Slow down and fix your company, you owe me a hour of my time for the wasted trip. Picture proves I won the bid. Auction ended at 1:36, 15 sec there was no added time and I watched it close in my favor. Now one of their buddies wins for 25 cents more than me with no chance for me to bid. Still no call back. First: 75% of the items purchased do not work. Especially the electronics. This location and Elk Grove location often sell broken non working items. Customer Service Rep Sahara Hawthorne not only falsified information in the companies internal files accusing my pick up person of theft and broadcasting throughout the companies different locations she accused me of being dead from breast cancer. When she was confronted she bold face lied and denied entering the slanderous information into the company internal files getting other locations to black ball me. After spending over $20,000 in the past year at this location and this businesses incompetent warehouse workers giving my driver someone elses items along with mine which by the way were kindly returned the following morning Sahara decides to notify all other locations that my driver walked into the warehouse and took the items and that I am dead from breast cancer. Outrageous and completely absurd I was already done with this location because of the horrible service but this Sahara Hawthorne is a complete liar falsifying information in order to justify her employees mistakes. Done and over with this place. I forgot to mention that when I was paying with cash was told my hundred dollar bills were to old and they wouldnt accept had to drive to mcdonalds and cash them. Ridiculous rules made up on site. Also was told that they could not take cash payments after 5pm. I get that bidding on returned items is a risk and sometimes you win and sometimes you lose but at least act like you appreciate the customers and you're not just there to collect a paycheck. I have been dealing with RL since they were still selling things they found in a storage unit. I've never had a problem with their poor customer service or their questionable business ethics until recently. I am going to preface the next part by saying I am extremely thorough in my inspection of the items and inspection of the listing. I always preview before I bid. I mark down the issues I see in person and I mark down the lot number to bid on. The last time I bid I went to pick up my items and almost every single piece I purchased was damaged in some way shape or form that was NOT listed in the auction nor was it visible when I previewed the items. As you're not allowed to touch anything, you can only see whatever is visible. I had pyrex that I had to throw out completely because it was broken. A mirror that had one side completely busted out. Plates that had been chipped everywhere. A microwave that doesn't even turn on (they refused to plug it in for me at the preview but insisted that it worked) and a kettle that turns on but doesn't heat. I sent a very polite email to Laura and Rita documenting with photos the damage, comparing the damage to the photos listed on the auction and offering to return the items to them as pictured for a full refund as the issues with the products were not my problem. I was sent back an email insisting it was my fault and that I purposely damaged my own goods, that they would not be refunding me and that I was now "black listed" from their site. When I sent a reply stating I accepted their decision to not do business with me in the future, however it does not mitigate the damages to the items that were obviously broken and duplicitously sold to the public as undamaged I was told if I sent any more emails I would be considered hostile and litigation would be pressed against me. So sad. I really enjoyed seeing them grow from a crappy little online garage sale to landing large accounts and being a customer through that with them. I won't be returning and I won't be recommending I will however be reporting them to the better business bureau. All I have to say is this: If you keep black listing customers who make a fuss because of your shady business ethics, you will soon find yourself with no customers at all. I don't see you guys surviving at that new posh warehouse for another year. It's sad but it's because of your shoddy management. read more

I have done business with RL Auctions for a long time purchasing many lots. I've also wondered how they resell old food items. The negative reviews for poor customer service are deserved but the issue which finally convinced me to never do business with Randy again is quite different. Recently there was an auction for "everthing in the storage yard" at an old office furniture business with many, many photos. I was interested in two storage containers and three vehicles clearly shown in the yard and photos. After bidding opened and the price was climbing into a range which required validation I emailed Customer Service to verify and was told that they were not included. In other words they removed significant property _AFTER_ the auction opened and people had risked their $$$. I responded that it was illegal to unilaterally change auction terms AFTER bidders had offered their money. The only way to resolve this was to cancel the auction, correct the listings and re-open the auction. One party of a contract can not simply change the wording and continue to hold us responsible for cash offered. Remember, RL repeatedly states that this is a legal contract and they will charge if we back out. Instead of replying they froze my account. So the next day I visit the office on Richards and speak to one of the owners. At first I thought he was reasonable but soon discovered that he dramatically exaggerates the text exchange and refuses to read a true and correct copy in my hand. RL Auctions has worse than "bad" customer service, they are unrepentant when violating their own regulations. I strongly urge anyone bidding on anything of value to get an email confirmation that the item of interest is indeed available before risking money with these people. read more

I completely second what George C. has to say about RL. I have been doing business here for about 6 months, but have spent thousands. A portion of what you buy will have issues, if you are a reseller you need to really inspect items in person (if possible) or through the pictures. You have to understand that they cannot test these items, they are processing thousands of items a weeks, due diligence is required. Fort he most part they do a good job, I've had a few incidents and they have been addressed. There are some screaming good deals here, but do your homework. read more
