As time passes and the clock runs down you will be outbid more often and the clock will add 1 minute so you can counter. It was actually very entertaining. We ended up paying $370 for well over 2k worth of fencing.. plus the taxes ( 15% if you pay cash plus sales tax). We go to estate sales frequently. Most businesses are run well, and many have minor things that…read moreirritate buyers. When you go frequently, you experience these irritations. Estate sellers work hard, so I don't write negative reviews on them for things like pricing, hold table chaos, and other things. I just remember them if it's a pattern, and then choose to not go to their sales. I do want to highlight the ones who stand out though! We have had great experiences at the sales run by Burns Estate Liquidators. Here are some thoughts: Hold Tables: Multiple and well "guarded". Sold Cards: Before entering, staff explained how sold cards worked. There was no confusion on how to mark larger items you wanted to buy. Pricing: Day 1 pricing was fine. Estate sellers are trying to make money for the family and for the business. Some companies take that to the extreme. They forget they're also trying to encourage buyers to come and buy. Burns seemed to keep that three-pronged understanding at the forefront. Price Tags: Every item had a price tag. Bulk items had very clear signs with pricing. If you've been to these sales, you know how important knowing pricing is, without having to constantly find someone. Staffing: Six people ran a very large and involved sales like a streamlined machine. We have been impressed. This is a very business-savvy company, who clearly keeps their brand protection in mind when working. Other companies lose site of that sometimes. Live Streamers: Many estate sale companies are allowing live streamers to set up camp inside a home and have live auctions during the sale. It is absolutely annoying and seems disrespectful to the family. We haven't seen this at a Burns sale yet. We've been very pleased with Burns' sales and I hope this review helps families who are looking for a company, as well as buyers at future sales.

It was kind of sad, either they really don't like working the jewelry counter or I felt like they had some kind of preconception or stereotype about my mom (or me, who knows.). It definitely put a damper on the shopping experience. This is one of the cleaner goodwills I've been too. The racks are sorted nicely and almost color coded. All the sizes are separated well without being mixed up. There wasn't a lot of things cluttered on the shelves or on the floors. They keep the bathrooms locked and they were fairly clean. I can appreciate them having a sharps container so if sharps are being used they don't end up on the floor or anywhere else. Overall we found some good stuff. I just wish the employees were nicer. The lady that did end up helping us was kind and helpful. Maybe everyone was just having a rough day.

The staff were okay. They were not exactly friendly, but kind of working with a "blah" energy. Still they were helpful and at least nice. I would still recommend this thrift store to others.
