    Crosstrek 2025 in alpine green

    We had the pleasure of working with David Fanning when looking to purchase a crosstrek 2025. The best car buying experience I've ever had. David set the deal up completely through text, and got me the numbers I wanted to see for our the door pricing within a day of speaking to me. I came in and he was quick in getting our trade in looked at, and pushing the deal along to financing. All in all I was only in the dealership for a little under two hours. I would highly recommend asking for David F. If you come into this dealership!

    I recently purchased a Subaru Forester and my experience was very good. David, our car peddler, was the best experience I have ever had at a dealership! He was kind, straightforward, honest and funny to boot. It was like I've known him for years and I was buying a car from a friend. Plus, his eyes flashed with a fond memory when I made a joke about keeping this Subaru until it's time to turn it out to pasture under a big tree. He remembered the commercial from years ago that I was referencing. Bonus!     If you're looking for a no-nonsense dealership that genuinely cares about their customers, RK Subaru is the place for you! Bought my 4th Subaru from RK last night, there's a reason we keep going back. Nick Wilson, sales manager, was super patient with my indecisiveness, offering different finance and leasing options between different models and trims to get me to my goal of lowering my current car payment. In this situation most dealerships will do just about anything to simply get the deal done, however Nick spent time helping me select a trim most similar to the 2022 Forester Wilderness I was trading in, so I wouldn't lose too many features in the process of saving money on the car payment itself. Anyone else would have focused on just finding me a lower payment so I really appreciated the time he spent with me on this. The sales agents assisting me, David Fanning, John Conrad, and William Link were super helpful in helping me compare models and discussing utility and capabilities as well. These guys even took me out to see the car multiple times to check for included accessories, and determining what I would need to add as well! These guys did a great job helping me make decisions as I was trading in my full sized SUV for the more compact Crosstrek Sport. Their product knowledge really shined here in not just knowing Subaru's lineup, but what options and capabilities come with each model and trim level, and being able to cross compare them. It's also worth noting that I went into the dealership battling a multi-day long migraine, and it was super cool that everyone was considerate of that as well throughout the process! Additionally, lot attendant Rich did a GREAT job on the cleanup for the car as well, he's always SO thorough! And he's even helping me put my crossbars on! The only part of the process that was frustrating was the next day, today, I met with David Fanning to get my new 2024 Crosstrek Sport's windows tinted. My car was dropped off at the tint shop at 0830, RK doesn't open until 09 so this also speaks to these agents commitment to their customers as well. Around 0930, David gets a call from the tint shop that my car is ready to be picked up. At this point, David communicated that before we can pick up the car, some paperwork had to be signed by the sales manager and taken over to the admin office, in order for the tint shop to bill the dealership for the work. And this is what we waited on for almost an hour. It appeared that the manager was in a meeting with owner during this time. David attempted to pick up this paperwork during this meeting and was told to wait. No problem, I had brought my dog with me, we hung out. Around 10, John Conrad called down to the manager's office to inquire again about being by able to pickup this paperwork so I could pickup my car and go home, again was told to wait. This was really frustrating to wait when my car was already done, and all we needed was to be able to just grab 2 pieces of paper from the manager's office. At 1020, finally we called the tint shop, explained the situation and got permission to just come get the car, and submit the paperwork by end of day. I've purchased 4 Subarus from RK, they are genuinely the best dealership in general in Hampton Roads, which is why we continue to come back for vehicles, accessories, service, say hello. I highly recommend this business for their sales staff making the stressful process of buying a car simple!

    We bought our 2015 Subaru cross trek in 2016 and it's been great. I recently lost my 2007 BMW X3 due to being rear ended. We had our eye on a 2021 Subaru Outback XT limited and a fair price on it after some research. Jim , our sales associate was great even tho it this was his 2nd sale working there. Nick the sales manager was also very upfront which I appreciated and Justin the finance person kept it short and sweet and entertaining. The process of buying it still took 3 hours but that's kind of how any car sale is these days. I was very specific about what I wanted and knew what I wanted and what a fair price was for it and all this was understood by them. It's still a Bussiness , so do your own research, because let's be honest, I'd you pay to much, it's most likely your fault. The safety features in our 2021 Outback are amazing , my wife could not be more happy. We also got it in the pearl red color she wanted. The only model in this color in 400 miles. I checked. When we went to buy the car, we brought along our 2015 Cross trek , which we bought form here also and they gave it a complimentary cleaning inside and out. With Subarus offer currently , 48 months at 0.9 APR for qualified buyers , it was a no brainer. We put 10k down , for some cash back on a credit card and drove it home. I will try to update this in a year.

    This Saturday was the second time I have use this location to get a new vehicle and I always leave satisfied! I went to upgrade my vehicle to the new 2022 accent onyx and request afford to have everything I wanted. I will say that Mr. Fanning made sure to take care of us! He is very friendly and professional. He made sure to keep in contact with me about everything along the way. My vehicle had to be ordered. He listen to all my concerns and made sure to get back to me in a timely manner. Mr. DeAngelo the finance manager, was also very kind and professional. He made sure to explain everything. Even my kids were taken care of while there. If you didn't know RK Subaru has a place for your kids to hang out and are dog friendly!

    I am a big supporter of offshore wind energy and appreciate Subaru's role in promoting a clean environment.

For me, every time I have come here has been an amazing, gracious experience. I was sold my car by the dapper C.J. Morris, who is a man that keeps things real. Each time I came in afterward he recognizes me and shakes my hand. Drivers World has a good policy of "price as marked" with no haggling, since their prices are already low. I don't know about that across the board, but my 2010 Hyundai Accent was a great deal. I have had two issue happen with my car since its purchase. The first was when my spare key came in from the Hyundai Mother Ship. We tried it out and it got stuck in the ignition! Samantha, in their service dept., immediately got me a rental and called a locksmith to look at it the next day. My car was fixed up that next day too, the locksmith had to re-cut part of the key. My second issue was when my car suddenly didn't start one day after work. I took a panicked trip in the tow truck to Drivers World where they got me a loaner car that night. They called me in the morning and told me it was the starter. I returned my loaner and they got me a rental; a few days later I picked up my car from Checkered Flag Hyundai. So far, everything has been covered and I always get treated nice there. I had a great buying experience and their awesome service has continued. Hopefully all my visits will be this good.

My rep Scott Howard was incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of buying and financing a used car. They gave me an appraisal for my car on trade in that was a few hundred less than I needed. However the inventory is staggering! They offer a 30 day money back guarantee on every deal. Who else does this? I was specifically looking for my son who resides in Saint Louis. Scott honed in on two area CarMaxx in the Saint Louis area to find the best cars that suited my specifications. There was never any pressure. The fact they are nationwide is a major draw to me as cars can be reserved and shipped to other locations at no cost or minimal fees of a few hundred. I look forward to doing business with CarMaxx the first time.

IE the vehicle alignment. I have an extended warranty that covers the features on my vehicle. Here's where maybe miscommunication may have come into play? She calls to let me know that I have to pay for the dealership to "inspect" the issue, according to her, the company providing my warranty is requiring them to do a diagnostics (almost $200) BUT if the issue is covered I do not have to pay it. Welllllll....Surprise, surprise...it's not covered. I do not know what type of "diagnostics" they did but when I called my extended warranty place I was told my issue was covered, however, it is insurance & I don't think the dealership would NOT want to make money so I don't think they did anything with any erroneous or malicious intent but I am definitely taking it to another dealership for a 2nd opinion. Not only is my steering wheel warmer still broken but I am out well over $200 and then some. From reading the reviews it seems this dealership will take super care of you BEFORE you buy a vehicle but they're not too super caring AFTER you buy a vehicle. I am here to validate that! I will be taking my car to be serviced elsewhere from now on. Everyone is kind & friendly but if these service folks are working off of commission they will DEFINITELY nickel & dime you to make their extra nickel & dimes.

We ordered our Telluride and ended up wanting a different interior color, she made sure it happened. She kept in contact with us and checked up on us after we came home with it. Great customer service, really made us feel like she cared. During the car buying process we met Summer Sherman who was very friendly, personable, complimentary and kind. She put on one heck of a presentation for the more esthetic parts of the warranty while not putting so much pressure on us that we felt like we were at a timeshare presentation. Lastly we worked with Sherard Bethea. He was the final stop on our long journed to get the Telluride in our hands. We were all tired, it was 9:30pm and it had been a day. Sharard joked with us, shared personal stories, and was kind and friendly all while being a tremendous salesperson. We really appreciated him at the end of the day. We will definetly be coming back here for our next car. Thanks to everyone involved for making a normally very stressful situation, pretty calm :).

Normally with car inspections, I have to drop my car off at an auto-body shop and pick it up the next day due to the "first come, first serve" policy but I didn't have that option so I booked an appointment with 17th Street Automotive for the same day. As soon as I walked into the office, I was happily greeted by Kristen and another worker. They both were extremely pleasant and personable. I was quoted a service time of about an hour and a half and was offered beverages while I wait, which was a very nice gesture. My state inspection was completed after an hour and a half, just as they quoted me. Kristen was very informative with the things they found during the inspection and with how amazing their customer service was, I would definitely return to get my car serviced with them. I was given a free car freshener once the service was complete and told them I would tell everyone I knew about the exceptional experience I had with their business. If you are looking for same-day inspections or in need of any car services, I highly recommend checking out 17th Street Automotive.

    Completely unacceptable, frustrating experience…read more I paid $1,338 for front brakes and calipers, and within six months I was still having braking issues. When I returned, they replaced only one front rotor under warranty. After a third visit for the same braking noise/vibration, I was told the problem was my rear brakes, even though those had been replaced only three months earlier at another shop. I then went to three independent shops, and all confirmed the real issue was a warped front rotor (the one not replaced the second time I brought it in). This should've been fixed the second or third time I brought it in. Instead they shifted blame to another shop, in which their work was confirmed to be fine. And for the price I paid, I shouldn't have had to bring it in multiple times for the same issue. Still after three visits and over $1,300 spent, my issue was still not properly fixed. The only good thing about this experience was that it was under warranty, and another shop was able to fix my brakes properly. I would strongly recommend getting a second opinion before trusting this shop, and if possible save your time and go elsewhere.
