THANKS FOR SCREWING ME OVER, BOLIVAR…read more.. Last Wednesday (2/26/2025), he told me that he would come out on Sunday (3/2/2025) (i.e. FOUR day's wait), at 10 or 10:30am, to check on a leaking water line. Well, HE NEVER SHOWED UP, nor did he even have the decency to give me a courtesy call or text, to let me know what happened and/or why he couldn't make it (and he could have easily just rescheduled the service call, for another time). By 11am, I texted him, but never received a response. At 2pm, I texted him again, and STILL, no response. At 4pm, I called him, and, of course, he didn't answer his phone. I literally never heard a word from him, at all... The previous time [only other time] that he had come to my house, I gave him a $45 tip (on a $105 invoice; yes, a 43% tip), as well as a glowing review here on Yelp, because he had stayed late at my house, in order to fix my water heater lines, and he had also stayed in touch with me, to let me know that he was running late at another job. I had even recommended him to a friend of mine, and now, she's like, "Oh, heck no, I won't be calling him now, because I don't have the time or patience to deal with people like that." So, now, my water line has been leaking for four more days, and now, I STILL have to find someone else to come out to fix it, before I will be able to leave out of town. Obviously, if he had just told me that he couldn't do it, I could have already hired someone else to fix it, in the meantime. But, stupid me, here I was trying to give him some repeat business, as well as some new business (from my friend). Unfortunately, after this ignorance, I definitely can't recommend him to anyone...

I appreciate that he left the spare parts easily accessible on top of the unit, and the boxes standing neatly in the corner. He didn't leave any trash around, and the boxes will be able to be used again as needed. I would recommend him to anyone who doesn't mind having a very talkative handyman. I definitely plan to use his services again in the future.

For their price, I could do an entire master bath gut with everything new with the highest quality products. We just wanted tile replaced, no plumbing, or electrical. My guess is that if they get 1 in 10 deals closed, then they are doing really well. Was ashame because we like their product and the company, but the price was insane. Which is why you have to sit through the sales pitch to get a price. Of course we knew they would be expensive, but not this expensive. 2 hours of my life I will never get back. Beware when a company mandates that you and your spouse both have to be available for the sales pitch. That was a red flag. Then when they wouldn't get done in 90 minutes, they wanted to schedule another appointment. Heck no. I made him stay and finish. Unless you have money to throw away, look elsewhere. Better and cheaper options out there.

We contacted 4 remodeling companies before choosing Old Bay Remodeling, After my wife's almost an…read moreyearlong research to find materials and selections to complete the kitchen, we decided to get bids from Angie's list. Old Bay came in highly recommended with a 4.7 star rating. We got other bids from contractors 4.5 stars and above. We had a contractor who showed up on TV who bid the job at 4 times the price of Old Bay and we had contractors who my wife called 'Chuck in the truck' contractors who bid my kitchen at 30% cheaper than Old Bay. The big name contractor came with his pamphlet, tried to push his branded materials on us - "You can only choose backsplash from this pamphlet" they said. We had to wait 10 weeks to get started they said. They will give us warranties on materials for 10 years, but we have to pay for labor, would something go wrong. The estimate was a 10 pages long with 9 pages of their marketing bullshit and one page of the actual estimate. Also wanted me to pay for design before they even gave me any drawings - not even rough drawings with the estimate. The Chick in the truck - unlicensed guy with his helper in a truck, said he can start tomorrow. We can purchase any materials and he will put it in. He gave us a labor only bid literally handwritten on a notepad piece of paper. I was pretty sure after the work is complete, I would never see him again. Then comes Old Bay Remodeling and Bill Keeling. Licenses and Insurance checked out. Reasonable 5 weeks delays to start the job. Detailed drawings and sketches with a 3d rendering of how things would look at the end. The process took about 5 days with some edits. But we were able to sign a well written contract, 3 pages long. But no marketing bullshit or content. 3 pages of how the work will be done, what is included, not included and what ifs. We went with them mainly because of Bill the sales guys and Sara the designer. The construction started and there were some hiccups, but mostly all right. The job was completed with a 2 day delay - I'll give them a pass on that. Trash was left outside for couple days, and I had to call the office to get it removed. But the actual kitchen looks great!

A new roof was installed on our home by Mid-Atlantic and we are very pleased with the results…read more  John, the owner, came out to do an estimate and thoroughly explained the choices of high-quality products that could be used.  He also described how the work would be done so we knew what to expect on the day of the install.  The work was promptly scheduled, and the crew arrived on time and did a professional and expert job of removing the old roof and installing the new roof. His crew cleaned the entire area around our home when they were done. The finished work looked great.  John was on site when the work began and when it was finished to follow up with us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. It definitely was!  We enjoyed working with John and would definitely recommend Mid Atlantic as an excellent company. John even replaced a few boards in our back deck that we had requested during his initial roof inspection and estimation. We went with his company because it also did an excellent job of installing leaf free gutters several years ago. Again, we highly recommend John and his employees.

Also, they were to power wash my deck and seal it. The windows needed special attention because spiders build webs in the windows then poop all over them. It's really gross, and I especially hired Grime Busters to take care of this problem. I specified this as the reason I was getting my house pressure washed. As such, I was told to remove all of my window screens to ensure the best results. So when they were finished, imagine my anger when I looked in my upstairs window and it looked as if water hadn't touched the window at all. OK. We all make careless mistakes. I called and someone came back out to inspect the job of the previous person. Agreed they didn't do a good job, but he didn't come back with a pressure washer to fix the problem! He asked me to use my pressure washer...uhh, WHAT? That's not all. The original washer also left whole areas of my deck unwashed then sealed over them. You could look and tell the angle he washed the stairs and balusters - imagine the sun casting a shadow is the best way I can describe it. So of course when he sealed the deck, whole areas of the deck didn't get sealed, because they weren't washed properly. I was also told the seal would last (assuming proper washing, of course) for 3-5 years. Even on the areas I felt were properly washed, rain water stopped beading on the deck within weeks. The last thing is they were to restain my white deck railings, and they did this, but sloppily. I have white wood railings on white (pvc? plastic-like) balusters. The white stain for the wood can be seen on the plastic -like balusters. In all, while I appreciated their attitude and they were very respectful, I paid $2500 to have a job done well and it was not. And returning without the equipment to correct the problem was pretty inexcusable.
