Queene is a healer. This was my first time doing physical therapy and I feel embarrassed that I…read morehaven't done it after all these years. This review is a note to all of you to try it out. I learned more about my body in one session than anything I've learned from YouTube videos or AI in the past decade. We started the session off by going over my exercise and injury history. Then we went over what exercises I do and Queene chose a few of them that were likely causing me problems given my history. She has great experience and intuition about what's going on with my body. We went through the exercises and her intuition was right every single time. These exercises revealed imbalances between my left and right side that I had no idea about, and Queene helped adjust them with proper form and range of motion. She also added a few more exercises. All of this resulted in my body loosening up, with much better range of motion on my squat, and my lower back felt better after a previous tweak. Then, we did some massage and cupping, which was helpful for figuring out more things that were going on with my body. We finished with foam rolling to help address all of the issues that Queene found. At the end of the session, Queene asked if she could give me a hug. That tells you everything you need to know about the kind of person she is. I left the session impressed by Queene's depth of knowledge and her ability to give thoughtful feedback. Most importantly, her genuine care for others shined through--she took the time to educate me and help my body move better with less risk of injury. Her care for others extended beyond my session. When I was working out with a friend afterward, she took the time to teach him new movements and cues for his sports training. I can't say enough good things about Queene, Joey (the founder), and Progressive Motion as an organization. People there were friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. Fitness is one of the pillars of mental and physical health. Progressive Motion is the place to go to address all of your fitness needs.

I had basically given up and came to believe that I would be living in pain for the rest of my life. Eventually I stopped doing PT and would just pay lip service to the idea of it. It was only after I starting going to Progressive Motion and seeing Bryan Mai, who taught me about properly stacking my hip and ribcage and breathing into a hardened lower abdomen while lifting, along with proper form adjustments during specific movements like deadlifts, squats, etc, that I found that I could actually live life without recurring pain. I am now starting to believe once again that my physiotherapy exercises actually help, and do them consistently. So thanks Bryan and Progressive Motion in making me believe that my PT exercises actually do make a difference!

I saw Dr. Greg for three weeks when I was home for the holidays and am so glad I found him. Unlike most PT practices that require their therapists to juggle multiple patients at once, Dr. Greg is a one-man shop who spends the ENTIRE session with you. And he's excellent-- kind of a walking encyclopedia of human anatomy. When I got back to Brooklyn, my surgeon and PT here were both impressed by my progress. I've already connected Dr. Greg with a former teammate who is also slated for a TKR . Highly recommended!

As a dance teacher, I know how important it is to find a PT you can rely on -- Greg absolutely stands out in that regard. From the start, Greg struck the perfect balance between personal and professional. He immediately put me at ease, and it's obvious how knowledgeable and thoughtful he is. He genuinely cares -- not just about symptoms, but about your overall progress and long-term well-being. He took the time to really listen to my concerns, questions, and medical history, and approached everything with patience and care. I've been dealing with persistent hip pain for a year. While resting and seeing a couple other PTs helped, the pain never fully went away. I came to Greg wanting to understand why it was still lingering and how to prevent it from coming back. Even when I struggled to explain things clearly, he asked the right questions and guided the conversation toward uncovering the issue. He quickly identified the source of the problem while still taking the time to look at contributing factors elsewhere in my body. One quick tip for first-timers: when you enter the complex from the front, go inward and slightly to the right. It's not directly under the clinic sign (which threw me off), but it's easy to find once you've been there once!

The billing is based on the doctor's CPT codes, so that means they can bill you anything and you won't know the total payment until receiving the invoice. You don't have any choice to decide if you would like to go to the appointment based on the cost before going. I went to my first appointment and thought it was just finding my issues and the causes. The provider was Tanvi Mamtora. During the appointment, I was asked to do all kinds of the postures and tests to identify my problems. I was billed Manual Ther Tech 1+Regions - 97140 (CPT®) $175.00 and Pt Eval Low Complex 20 Min - 97161 (CPT®)$374.00 And the doctor was asking me to practice certain movements to do it at home everyday. I thought that was a demonstration but I was billed as Therapeutic Exercises Ea 15 Min - 97110 (CPT®) $178.00. If I know they charge like this, I never would like to go to the appointment. I rather use the money to Yoga or Pilates class since the fee is more reasonable and effective to cure my issue. I am trying to disputing the bill and I feel it is like a long path full of troubles. I have to back and forward to call/chat the insurance company and message/call PAMF billing. They said based on their internal research, the codes are all correct and ask me to appeal the claim again if I don't agree. It is still ongoing issue. I wish this review can help people who just got referral to see the physical therapy. Please be aware of it.

I appreciated how Vien took the time to explain exercises and their benefits all in basic human language :) Vien also was a huge help in assisting with rehabbing an injury I had sustained. His vast knowledge in fitness and physical therapy was able to shine (and this was before he completed undergrad!) Despite his great knowledge then, I could see his thirst for more. He is someone who is constantly striving for more knowledge because he knows he can always be better. Anyone would be lucky to be trained/treated by Vien. He is the best!

They have had my payment information on file, and was charging it post-visit, which made sense to me. However, 3 months later after I graduated from rehab, I have been slammed with 2 billing statements, with the most recent one being almost $500. When I called the office yesterday, they told me someone by the name of Jasmine handles billing, so they could not help me. When I called her, I was fwded to her voicemail. Today, I called Jasmin again, and was again fwded to her voicemail. Again, I called Cal rehab office confused today (5/16 at 10:15am) because my card payment transaction states that I've been paying per-visit, I told them they have my payment on file, so was confused as to why it looked like I had an outstanding balance. To which, the receptionist/front desk I was talking to said "oh so do you want me to just run your credit card?" This was extremely inappropriate, why would I want you to run my card again when I am communicating that this has already been paid, to my knowledge? Update: I called again and thankfully jasmine, the billing specialist, was available and helped me out by giving me a breakdown and was very helpful in explaining the copay vs deductible. I would've appreciated if the front desk at Cal Rehab was more transparent about how payment worked and estimated cost because being charged $65 was very different from the real balance of $300 per session per deductible so I could anticipate this cost. It was fine for me because I'm fortunate enough to be have the resources to fulfill the payment, but others may not be so fortunate and could've been in a financially strained situation because they weren't upfront about the anticipated payment. Patients beware.

Getting a home program that requires equipment that I have stated I do not have is not practical. In addition, home programs should be tested prior to being assigned for home -- this did not happen and the exercises hurt me. I was patient, I was assertive, and then when I wrote a negative YELP review, they did wanted to discuss the review rather than solve the problems. I switched to a different provider and thankfully was back in the land of normal, sane, polite, effective therapy, with ZERO complaints.
