Although he was off the day I called, he texted and asked if I still needed help. He came the next day within 15 minutes of the time he said he would be at my house, and after a bit a checking, diagnosed the problem. I would have never figured it out on my own. He came back when the part came in and installed it. Additionally, he showed me exactly what he was doing, discussed washers, appliances, and used the time to teach me a few things about clothes washers and their maintenance that I was unaware of. You can tell he loves his work and is fascinated by the problem solving involved in repairs. He has worked on my old Kenmore dryer, and today on my newer (10 yrs old!) KitchenAid refrigerator which was making a weird squeaking noise. He is extremely responsive via text, email or phone, even on the weekend. The short version is he was easy to work with and we were able to get washer repaired for less than half the cost of buying a new one and I highly recommend him. The more detailed review is: My Maytag Bravos washer showed an F51 code so I contacted this business and he was able to come out and diagnose the problem (the control board failed) and although he could order all the parts required for repair he importantly (unlike some other repair businesses I contacted) allowed me to source a replacement control board myself (I found a used working one on eBay for small fraction of price of new old stock). I also found F51 code can be caused by a faulty rotor position sensor so ordered one of those from online store and asked if he could replace that as well and he said he would include it in labor cost for replacing board (awesome). I also asked him if there were any other parts he thought should be replaced at the same time so I also ordered a "basket drive hub kit", a new bolt for basket drive hub, and a "suspension rod kit". So after initial diagnosis, parts were ordered and he came back by a few days later and replaced the parts and washer has worked flawlessly ever since. So 5 stars from me. read more

Lou first came to install a new garbage disposal, and upon realizing that a pipe was ready to crack he picked up new parts and replaced the connections. Our refrigerator lost its chill. Based on the reviews here, we contacted Rizzik. He responded quickly and came to our house at noonish the next day. He charged us $175 for the trip and said he could fix the fridge for $520, which included the $175. We agreed. He spent an hour to defrost the fridge, said everything looked good and that it was fixed, and left. The fridge is no different than before. It is still not cold enough. read more

My Bosch dishwasher was not draining properly and producing error codes on the display. I contacted Lou and he got back to me quickly. It turns out he was close by and could be at my place in 10 minutes. He quickly determined the drain hose was never installed properly causing the pump to work too hard. The hose is supposed to loop up and then back down before it goes into the drain to allow gravity to create a suction that helps draw water out. He rerouted the hose properly, and the dishwasher now works perfectly. Lou was friendly, professional, explained everything well, and knew exactly what the problem was. Lou was fabulous to work with on getting our dishwasher running again. When I submitted an inquiry thru his website one night, I wasn't expecting a response until business hours the next morning, but he responded within 30 minutes. He was able to come out within a couple of days, diagnose the problem, and also explain what we'd been doing that LED to the broken pump in our dishwasher. The pump was backordered (supply chain issues) so we opted to plan to have it ordered when it came back in stock. That night I got a message from him that he had located another source for the pump, though it would be a few dollars more. That was fine with me and I appreciated that he was working on the problem even after he left. The part arrived and he installed it today. He was very courteous in our home, careful about cleaning up after himself, and our dishwasher (ARGUABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT APPLIANCE IN MY HOUSE) is purring along happily. Additionally, before he found the alternate source for the pump, he was completely okay with us thinking about if we even wanted to choose to repair it, or replace it, or whatever we wanted to do. We're doing a kitchen refresh, and we needed our gas cooktop removed before demolition of our old countertops and reinstalled on our new countertops.
