Dryer Repair. Updated Review:…read more Technician, Tony is a small business proprietor. He showed up on a Sunday as promised which was the result of a Saturday call for help. Disassembled pertinent dryer parts. Showed us the parts that were no longer functional. Replaced the part. On our acceptance of his recommendations, replaced some related belts and parts that were clearly worn. Cleaned up and re-assembled. Answered all our questions. His labor and parts charge was remarkably reasonable. He left his card and left us quite satisfied with having the dryer back in service. On the basis of that day's engagement, the experience was 5 Star. His attentiveness, professionalism, and general personality were exemplary. Alas, two weeks later the dryer again stopped heating. Called the number on the card, 720-908-4426, and it went directly to a automated "the box for this number has not been set up". Not a good sign. Went to the site: "Temporarily Closed Until July 31". An even worse sign. This led me to write this review and downgrade his "score" from a 5 to a 2. I did, however, use the email he had on his card to query him. While the phone number was unhelpful, the email worked and Tony got back to me very quickly. Real Life had and has imposed itself on him, requiring that he abruptly suspend business until the personal issue can be resolved. Based on his prompt and clarifying email, I raise his rating to 4; it should be a 5, and would be if (a) he had set up his phone messaging properly and/or (b) he'd posted a clarifying message on his web site. Neither oversight has anything to do with the quality of his work which was first rate. I suspect the exigencies of his emergence led to those oversights. While I'll likely have to get another service provider because Tony won't be available for a month, I'd wait for him if I could. I unequivocally endorse him and his work. Once he has resumed business, if I have any appliance issues in the future (which are inevitable) I will make him my first call. Life happens to us all.

Two men came and refused to do the first job - connect an icemaker hose to my fridge - because we had "too much food" and they couldn't move the fridge to get behind. They didn't even notice that my model has a pre-installed connector and can be hooked up without being moved. So I did it myself. The second job was to diagnose a dryer that showed power lights on, but wouldn't start. They correctly identified the door switch as the problem, and replaced it for $79 in parts cost, labor extra. Mighty fancy little switch at $79. But when they left, the dryer outlet hose was disconnected from the wall vent. So I did it myself. I won't bore you any further. Go look up somebody else. This firm is unreliable, overpriced, and incompetent. Or - Just do it yourself.

While the technicians, Anthony and Matt, were polite and professional, the dispatcher, Kimberly, was unhelpful, dismissive, and displayed a poor attitude. She should not be in a customer-facing role. During the first visit, the issue was diagnosed, and parts were ordered. When the parts arrived, the technician accidentally broke one of them during installation and had to order a replacement. He informed me that someone more familiar with my model would handle the next visit. The next technician arrived but discovered the wrong part had been ordered. Another part was ordered, but again, it was incorrect. This cycle repeated multiple times--three additional visits in total--with the wrong part sent each time. I now have five boxes of parts sitting in my home. When I called One Source for an update, they told me to contact Frigidaire. Frigidaire then called One Source Appliance, who claimed the correct part was on backorder. However, no one at either company seemed to have accurate information. After waiting over a week, Frigidaire informed me that One Source had closed my service ticket--without updating me--despite previously promising to ensure the correct part was ordered and to follow up. When I called Kimberly to express my frustration, she disconnected the call while both I and the Frigidaire representative were on the line. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend One Source Appliance. They need significant improvement in communication, accountability, and customer service. In particular, their dispatcher, Kimberly, should not be handling customer calls.

My extended warranty protection gave them the model unit and the serial number for my machine before they came for servicing. I waited all day (from 8am to 3pm) to have them come out to basically do nothing.
