As I tried to explain my situation, she told me I was arguing and didn't allow me the opportunity to speak. I ended up waiting for about 45 minutes while she focused on sales instead of completing my treatment. This experience left me feeling unheard and unattended.

Do NOT visit this practice unless you trust someone unqualified and inexperienced with your face…read more I visited Dr. Niu back in March 2025 for a simple cortisone shot, which I have had countless times before with other practitioners, and she was clearly inexperienced and unqualified to perform this service. Not only was she unable to give me the results that are expected from injecting a nodule pimple with a cortisone shot (the whole point in paying for the shot is to see flattening within 48 hours), but even worse - her technique was so shockingly poor that it caused severe fat atrophy in the entire area on my face. This has left an EXTREMELY noticeable dent in my face for several months that I now had to visit two separate med spas for consultations and ultimately had to pay $900 for a syringe of filler to see a slight resolution in the damage she caused. When I initially reached out to Dr. Niu about my concern of this divot due to fat atrophy in April 2025, she was extremely dismissive and took no accountability for the negative side-effect of her work. She mentioned that she had already provided me a refund (which was false because she had only given me a PARTIAL refund) and did not offer to fix the problem that she had created. The partial refund she gave me did not even begin to cover the amount of money I had to spend to fix this. I have pictures of the damage she caused as well as my text messages with her that show how unprofessional, condescending, and dismissive she was throughout the experience. Obviously this was distressing and disheartening for me as a patient. She is not a trustworthy or skilled practitioner and a simple conversation with her will prove that she's not confident speaking to a lot of the procedures she offers. I regret going against my intuition and trusting her anyway. She deletes her bad reviews and the one or two bad reviews that I have seen on here, she has replied to in an immature and dismissive manner that would not be expected from a true professional doctor. I am reporting her to the New Jersey Medical Licensing Board because this is absolutely unacceptable and I don't want other women to go through what I did. If you have also experienced this and seen that your review was somehow removed by her, I urge you to do the same.

First off, my waxer was 10 minutes late, which is hilarious considering they are so 'strict' when it comes to customer tardines. I also used facial depilatory creams which would leave me with rashes on my face and waxing which would leave me red for days and never fully do the job. Mary Ann put me at ease immediately, talked me through my first treatment and helps me feel comfortable every time I am in her office (it's a spa-like setting, so relaxing as well). I started off with 30 min treatments twice a month and now, one year later, am at 10 minutes once a month, never touch tweezers and am seeing fewer and fewer hairs (definitely in the 90% less range) and they are lighter, finer and much less visible. I wish I had contacted Mary Ann years ago!!!

Now the reason why they lost 3 stars. I went there for a Brazilian wax. During the session, even though I paid for a Brazilian, she kept trying to get me to do a bikini wax instead (maybe less work for her?) and I had to refuse multiple times. After the appointment, and when I was about to leave, she said she would charge me an extra $15 because my hair was coarse and she did the back (which is what a Brazilian is). For me it is the principle of things and the way she went about it. She never mentioned it or said anything during the wax and waited till I was about to leave. I was very upset with that.
