We got room service for breakfast! The food was delicious! Good quality and nice amount of all the items. The only thing I wish is that they would've sent real silverware versus plastic since they sent up real dishes. The avocado toast had more than enough Avocado which was great! The breakfast potatoes were crispy! The view from our balcony made breakfast in our room phenomenal!

(This place has the best fish tacos I've ever had) So was in the area about a month ago and after having been on the beach for a few hours the boyfriend and I were hungry. Decided let's walk up A1A to see what we can find. Came across this place, looked at the menu online and decided we'd try it. Was a Sunday, brunch time and wasn't crowded at all. Beautiful view of the beach and really nice to be when the weather is nice. Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we had plenty of water. I specifically got the Seared Mahi Tacos which I LOVED. Incredibly flavorful, filling, and colorful which I love. Everything was cooked to perfection. I want them again but alas I live in Texas. My boyfriend got the Smoked Salmon & Bagel Board and he loved it as well. We both cleared our plates.

We were impressed with the menu options which included a lot of the "normal" breakfast items, as well as some more unique ones. We had the bagel board and frittata with potatoes. Both were very yummy and served piping hot. It's a little pricey for what you get, but service was good and you can't beat the beach view (across the street).

I was excited to come here as it's a new restaurant for me. In September it's not super crowded with tourists in Fort Lauderdale so we got a seat outside facing the ocean. Our waiter was very attentive. We ordered off the happy hour menu which has $10 small plates and drinks(various prices). I had a glass of Prosecco which was just the right balance of dryness. We ordered the tuna nachos and the clams and mussels. The Tuna nachos were good, they had a little kick, they were served on very large size homemade potato chips. Unfortunately the clams and mussels were not so great. The mussels were either fished too early or overcooked because the inside stuck to the shells and was next to nothing. The waiter kindly agreed to replace it with another dish. We had the meatballs which comes with hardy pieces of bread. I liked the Tomato sauce, the meatballs were okay, I've had better and I've had worse

AhhhMazing! Every single employee has been helpful, outgoing and downright delightful. Came here for brunch and back for dinner. The food, while on the higher price point, does Not disappoint and is presented with love whether eating in or taking to go. Beautiful seaside seating indoors and out, couches with fire pits as well! Pop in if you're walking by and If you are staying at the Maren, you won't ever want to leave

Truffle Sachette / Patatas Bravas / broccolini

I've been here twice now and had two very different experiences. The first time almost everything we had was amazing. The tuna poke was great. The octopus was really tasty. But, the Sachette was the star of the show and It's actually why we came back a second time. This go around virtually everything was flavorless. With the exception of the Sachette, which was amazing again. If you decide to go that's the only must have. The hummus didn't taste like anything. The olives in it were the only pops of flavor you got. The chicken wings were good, but they were tiny and with only 8 in the order, they are overpriced. The rigatoni was super bland. The pasta itself was nice but the sauce was flavorless. Cocktails: The first time, they were great. Second time, same issue, they didn't taste like the ingredients on the menu. They were strong, so there's that. I don't think we will return, since it's a very pricy dinner...and we left completely disappointed. On second thought , maybe we just come back and sit at the bar for the Sachette and a wine haha

Most importantly of all, though, the food is top notch. Everything I had, I loved. We ordered the set menu and I highly recommend it. We started with three delicate small bites - sashimi, beets with caviar, and liver. All were delicately put together with a pleasant flavor and nothing too overpowering. Next, we had a large sampling of different items, hummus, babaganoush, muhammara, pickled cauliflower, an incredible olive oil, a beef tallow edible candle, and one of the best homemade hot sauces I have ever had. Then, we had the main course, a perfectly done branzino, and the best beef I have ever had in my life, their waygu beef skewers. Finally, their dessert was sophisticated and so well done. I very highly recommend this place for a fine dining experience in all of the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area!

The potatoes were so crispy and delicious and paired perfectly. Other standouts were the branzino, octopus, and pavlova. All in all, this was one of the greatest meals I've ever had and I highly recommend!

The wait is so worth it! I don't have the words. I mean, basically everything we've ever ordered at this restaurant has had us in shock after taking the first bites. Like even down to the French fries being yum! The lobster siracha mac and cheese (not sure what it's called on menu) is just my favorite and I crave it everyday if my life including right now as I write this Great staff also. Pricier than a typical restaurant but worth it because it's not a typical restaurant and it's not typical-tasting food.

It's very busy and loud there, though, if you are eating indoors at the bar like I was. The bartenders and barbacks are very busy. The restaurant is known for something called "Scoobies" which per Google Gemini are "crab claws (traditionally blue crab or snow crab) that have been partially de-shelled--leaving just the "pincher" as a handle--and sautéed in a rich sauce of garlic, butter, and olive oil with crushed red pepper and scallions." I didn't get the Scoobies because I was apprehensive about how difficult they would be to eat. My dishes were fried oysters, fish tacos, and coconut shrimp platter. They were all fine, but unremarkable. The platter comes with fries and cole slaw as listed, but when I said to the bartender that I didn't need cole slaw, just extra fries, he offered/clarified that I could substitute another side instead, so I went with broccoli. I did notice that there were many flies flying around when my shrimp platter came out. One of the other bartenders put out a plate of hot sauce to repel the flies, which helped. The place is famous and sells its own merchandise like shirts and hats. It is not located near other restaurants, and you'll have to walk fifteen minutes or get an Uber if you are discouraged by the waiting time. The people dining here look like they are pretty well off and are able to enjoy life.

I started with the grilled octopus and cannellini beans--always a risk if the kitchen doesn't know its way around a tentacle. Fortunately, LaFuga does. The octopus was tender, flavorful, and seasoned like it had just come back from a summer abroad. A great start. For entrées, I went with the shrimp over homemade pasta and the swordfish. Credit where it's due: the seafood is where LaFuga really shines. Both the shrimp and swordfish were cooked exactly right--moist, perfectly seasoned, and confidently plated. If the meal had ended there, this review might've turned into a standing ovation. But then... the pasta. And while the menu proudly labeled it "homemade," I'm not sure it was quite "ready to leave the house." It was noticeably hard--whether from undercooking or an identity crisis, who can say? Let's just say the texture was more "al dente... and then some." To be clear, nothing was bad--it just felt like two different kitchens made the dish, and only one of them had read the recipe. All in all, LaFuga is worth a visit for the seafood alone. If they can get the pasta to stop pretending it's auditioning for a role as a firm mattress, they'll really be onto something.

I had the wedge salad and my wife had the Caesar salad, although neither were the best version of the salads that we had. They were far better than the actual meal itself. I had their miso Seabass and my wife had their lobster scampi Seabass did have a nice presentation however it was a little heavily salted and the rice that it came on was very bland As for my wife's petite lobster scampi, it was less than impressive Again, had a nice presentation unfortunately it was a very oil based scampi not Rich and butter flavor. Just tasted very oily. You could also tell that the lobster was not fresh as it was 3 half pieces of the tail and they were stuck to the shell to the point where we had to use force to get the meat to come free I also have to add that we got the cream spinach as a side and it was anything but creamy and had almost no taste, except for an excessive amount of I believe it was Parmesan cheese on top. For dessert, we had the carrot cake overall the carrot cake was moist and had good flavor, but the spicy pecan pieces that they sprinkle on top were actually overpowering and left a burning sensation in your throat rather than having the sweet flavor of the carrot cake Not impressed and unfortunately not going to return. When we go, which is regularly to high-end restaurants, we don't mind the price tag because you expect high-end food This had the high-end price tag, but the food did not meet the price that they were charging I've had better seafood at simple, seafood restaurants.
