I have never experienced overcrowding at this range-as I have on some others- and appreciate the extended ranges for sighting in optics and dialing in that favorite rifle. Glad to see that the staff are uniformly knowledgeable without being overbearing. Also worthy of note is the fact that on my many visits the other shooters have been safety conscious and respectful of others' personal space-haven't had the dreaded unwanted Fudd or 'just turned 18' type telling you that you are doing it wrong or criticizing your gear. Great place to shoot!

Now it's not the best because of the upscaleness of the facilities, it's the best because of the diversity and friendliness. The manager of the place described it to me as the ideal Redneck gun club. HAHA, boy was he right. They have a great pavilion with a small kitchen and restrooms available, nice pro shop, several skeet, trap, and 5 Stand stations, and two walking courses as well. They also offer a 100 and 200 yard rifle range and a 70 yard pistol range. What really adds to this is how affordable they make it to be a member. It's a $100 annually to be a member and then another $100 quarterly in fees plus whatever they are charging for the stations you choose to use. I highly recommend that you check them out if you're in the area.

After less-than-stellar experiences elsewhere, finding a range that truly values its members has been refreshing. From day one, they've treated us like gold--welcoming, respectful, and consistently accommodating. The staff is outstanding. Their RSOs are attentive, safety-focused, and professional while still being friendly and approachable. Special shoutout to Michael and Colt, who are always excellent on the range. Angel at the coffee/snack bar is a delight, and Chris seems to be everywhere at once keeping things running smoothly. Gabe and Brandon have also gone above and beyond to support our group and make everyone feel welcome. The facility itself is impressive--clean, spacious, and beautifully designed. Great pistol lanes, a solid 100-yard rifle range, unique rental firearms, quality targets, a strong retail selection, and even an on-site gunsmith. They also have an indoor archery range, which adds another layer of fun and versatility. Online lane reservation ability is a plus. Another major advantage is the availability of multiple classroom spaces equipped with presentation technology, making it an excellent venue for training, safety courses, group meetings, and educational events. One feature I especially appreciate is that each lane has cameras that let you evaluate your target without constantly reeling it back in. It's efficient, modern, and makes practice sessions much smoother. Their ventilation system is excellent--a big deal at any indoor range--and clearly designed with shooter comfort and safety in mind. There's also a front coffee/snack bar open to everyone, which gives the whole place a welcoming clubhouse feel rather than a sterile retail vibe. One of the most distinctive touches is the décor, featuring taxidermy displays--many reportedly harvested by the owner's son with a bow, which is genuinely impressive. Upstairs is a separate business, but accessible to certain tier members and for events. A VIP lounge space that deserves mention all its own: cigars, drinks, TV, fireplace, pool table, and a great atmosphere to unwind after shooting. They also host creative events--date nights with chef-prepared meals, couples shooting activities, indoor steel challenges, and a calendar full of options for every skill level. I shoot at SGA-Crosby regularly.....at least twice a week, usually more. I consider it my home…read morerange. The staff is absolutely awesome! William (the manager), and his staff (Landon, Hollie, David, Amanda, Sebastian) are always willing to help and welcome all customers. They are knowledgeable, friendly, polite, and helpful. That is why I do not like to sat what I am about to say.......it seems like SGA-Crosby is going down hill. The shooting lanes on the rifle side very often have a lane down, and on at least one lane, the controls are reversed. The staff does a great job keeping the lanes functional. The shooting lanes on the pistol side are WAY outdated. The six lanes are operated on a cable system that reminds me of myb my mother's old clothesline when I was a child. Send the targets out on any lane, then wait 30 seconds or so for it to quit bouncing up and down so you can resume your shooting. Lately, the store's inventory has been very slim. The Blue Label Glock showcase is practically empty, and the selection of handguns in general has been slim.They do have what seems to be a decent stock of silencers, though. The store itself is kept clean and neat by the staff, but unfortunately, there is nothing they can do about the parking lot. The lot is uneven, and after a rainstorm, there are numerous water puddles all over the shell parking lot. And when the lot is dry, it is so dusty that one needs to get to a car wash to rinse off the dust. SGA-Crosby is a good, convenient range for which residents of Crosby, Highlands, Huffman, and other close in area to go to shoot. It could absolutely be a great range with just a few very needed updates; the shooting lanes target movers need a better, more reliable system, and the parking lot could really stand a major upgrade. I am a member at SGA, and I will continue to patronize the SGA-Crosby Indoor Range, but I truly wish ownership would make some much needed improvements to make SGA-Crosby an even better location.
