Just spent 10 days at Riverwalk Place & ate in the Riverwalk Grill 4 times. Both the accommodations & the food in the Grill were excellent! The rooms are quiet & attractively furnished. Beds are very comfortable & housekeeping is efficient & helpful. Management is quick to respond to any requests. The Grill has some great menu items. The various salmon entrees are very good - I like the sun dried tomato sauce best, & the salmon is moist & prepared just right. A new menu item - Chicken with Butternut Squash Ravioli is also excellent. Service has always been very good in the Grill as well. Gladwin is fortunate to have Riverwalk Place!! read more

Where can we even start? Our wedding this past weekend at Riverwalk Place was a dream come true. There was not one thing we would change. Everything from staying at the Riverhouse a few days before to hang out with the entire family to the rehearsal dinner to the outside wedding under the Gazebo. Every single person on staff was amazing! Shelby runs the hotel portion with grace and class and pinpoint accuracy and Teresa runs the reception portion and the food was AMAZING! Ruth was our go to person for the rehearsal and reception. The Riverhouse was perfect for an extended stay with lots of family and provided a central gathering place. The Oasis Spa did an amazing job with hair, make up, Spa treatments, ect. The suites onsite are immaculately updated and are a dream. The river and gazebo outside provides the most amazing backdrop for pitcures. We would HIGHLY recommend getting married here, spending a long weekend here or simply going to the Grill for dinner. read more

This is a review of the hotel accommodations only. We reserved a room online. We were looking forward to basically spending the entire weekend on site. My wife could enjoy the spa and shopping, I could have a few beers, and the we could have dinner there together. Well, it turns out ALL of their online reservations go to their SISTER hotel. This hotel is a mile and a half away. It is called Rivertown Inn. The rooms are nice enough (not so much the location), but I didn't plan on driving back and forth. I would not have made the reservation knowing this. It is not at all clear on their website, and feels like a trick as they have a very limited number of rooms at Riverwalk Place. If you want to stay, make sure you CALL THEM. DO NOT RESERVE ONLINE. read more

Our family has visited Riverwalk Place over the last several years and continue to be disappointed. Our last visit was the evening of July 6th. First of all there was no hostess to seat us, we needed to shag down a waitress to ask where we could seat. We took a seat in the bar area, and it took 20 minutes before we were greeted and that only happened because I got up and asked if someone could come over and wait on us. There was no bartender and the waitstaff had to get their own drinks it then took another 10 minutes to get drinks, even water. The food came in a reasonable time, however our appetizer arrived at the same time. Food was just ok. There was dirty glasses stacked all around the bar which was very unappetizing to look at. Clearly they were under staffed. We will not return nor will we recommend. read more

We had our wedding at Riverwalk last fall, overall we were extremely satisfied with how everything turned out. Teresa was amazing making sure that everything fell into place perfectly. The reason for 4 vs 5 stars was due to the wait staff assigned to the wedding events. The night of the rehearsal dinner my father had a cocktail spilled on him when it fell off the servers unbalanced trays tray and drink orders for our guests were never filled. They also served the wrong cake to guest at the wedding, as we had a smaller gluten free cake designated for certain guests, needless to say those who required gluten free (including myself) did not get any cake. Even when guests asked for cake they never end up getting a piece, yet there was a layer and half of regular wedding cake left over at the end of the night. All in all, minus the wait staff, everything turned out perfect and our guests had a great time at our wedding! read more

Do not waste your money. They were out of appetizers on a Saturday night. The food was horrible. The dinner salads consisted of two colors of lettuce, and an onion. We ordered four dinners. The chicken was tough, it was suppose to be served with rasberry sauce instead it came with some nasty gravy on top of it. I asked the waitress about it and she had to go back and ask the so called chef what was on top of it. His reply was it's a "mix" of rasberry sauce. The truth of the matter was he burned the chicken so badly that he had to cover it up with something brown hoping we wouldn't notice. The alfredo sauce was lumpy and runny.The fish was gross and the shrimp was nearly raw. They are seriously over priced.The hostess and waitress had no knowledge of the wine list. I would have sent it back but the wait time was way too long.I wish I had something positive to say about this place but seriously, I don't. When you go to their web site, there was no direct link to reviews. Now I know why. read more
