When my 70-yr-old heater finally gave up the ghost, Aaron was there in a few hours to check it out…read more Fortunately, it died during an unusually short warm spell for January, but cold temps were forecasted to return in a couple of days. Rather than put money into repairs due to its age, I decided to replace it. He called back within an hour with an estimate and a commitment to replace it the following day so I would not be without heat over the weekend. Due to an unforeseen emergency shortly after starting on the work, he had to return the next day, Saturday and finish the install, which I completely understood. I appreciated his professionalism and going above and beyond to make sure I would be ready for the cold temps that were due to return. He finished the job and kept to his quote, as well, and did a very nice job on the install, and I would highly recommend him. He was very personable to work with, which made the experience more pleasant.

In the past year it has stopped working, including today when temp are in the single digits. The owner sat silently after I described the situation and said, "I am not sure what you want me to do". I repeatedly asked about getting a rep out from the unit manufacturer to evaluate the problem and the install. No dice, he simply ignored that idea. Then, on top of everything else, after talking over me multiple times, he hung up on me. DO NOT GIVE ANY BUSINESS TO THIS COMPANY. THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN BUSINESS.

They got to us same day and after they assessed the problems it turned out that our heating needed a massive cleaning. In the past, by other companies, we were misinformed that we didn't have to do any special cleaning. Old Line (James & Tim) worked tirelessly and did a amazing job cleaning of our heater even going to the degree of stepping outside of their norm and helping us clean the chimney/exhaust pipe on the roof that got severely blocked. Insuring our heater worked to the best of it's ability. This was all done with great professionalism, knowledge, and at a very reasonable price. They don't only care about doing the work. Fast forward about a year and the same thing seemed to be happening. I called yesterday and while it wasn't an emergency they had someone out to my house before 10am next day. Tyler was the tech that stopped out this time and he was efficient, friendly and chatted with me when I had questions. Turned out this time was not the same issue, the capacitor was bad which I am told happens at times after prolonged heat and humidity. I am glad it wasn't the same issue as before showing the fix they put in place last year is still going strong. Whereas I have no idea if the invoice charge is high or low, the service was excellent and it was money well spent. I definitely recommend E-town Heating and Cooling.
