    Daybreak breakfast sandwiches

This is a really cute coffee place in downtown Florence. There was plenty of space and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast. There are plenty of ways to customize the breakfast sandwiches. They were delicious and everything was well priced. I'll definitely come again!

Heck yes love Rivertown!!! I'm from Shreveport, and I always get excited when we come to Florence because that means I get Rivertown! Their tomato and egg sandwich is insane. The yummiest, ripest tomatoes with a perfectly cooked egg, spinach and a delicious sauce all together on crunchy, buttered sourdough. Does that not automatically make your mouth water? Today, I decided to try their dark mocha frappe. So so so good. Basically a chocolate milkshake with a slight coffee taste. Perfectly blended and smooth. I also like their Caramel Lovers drink! (I obviously like my coffee drinks sugary and sweet). The staff is always friendly and upbeat. We always have to come when we are in town!

A great little coffee/breakfast/sandwich place. We went in during a very busy time. The servers were really nice and the coffee was delicious. We got a pimento cheese BLT. It was good.... Lots of cheese. I'd be a regular here if I lived in Florence.

This is a notable location in Florence, known for its coffee and simple breakfast items. It a comfortable and cozy location, which us bear the center of the small city. In front of it is a Presbyterian Church, a monument rich park, and artistic locations. The southern Bible belt culture is felt here, along with a mix of white a blue collar workers. It seems to me a blend of true live and let live community.

    Two house specials

Rivertown was an amazing experience. I have learned to just tell the person at the counter that I am traveling in town and ask for their input on what to order. The wonderful barista told us that the house special is quite popular, with honey and cinnamon and some other things. It was a delicious product. My coworker got the biscuit sandwich, insisted that it was a frozen pillsbury biscuit with wonderful egg and bacon on top.

Amazing little place! The staff were super nice and welcoming. I ordered a hot tea and the peanut butter banana sandwich on sourdough. Both were amazing and prepared quickly! Support local businesses and stop by this awesome place.

And then the waitress was super friendly (like everyone we met in Florence). My wife had the ham po'boy which was grilled like a Cuban sandwich (yay!) and I had the fried shrimp po'boy. Both were excellent. For sides my wife chose a half grapefruit brûléed and I had marinated tomatoes. I remember having sugar on a half grapefruit as a kid, but bruleed? Epic! I loved the big wall in the front dining area-- half of a Cessna airplane on the wall, superimposed on a blueprint painting (see photo). Very creative. We'll be back!

I was afraid we were there too late in the day but I managed to glimpse the hours of operation and realized I could still duck in, and so I did! The inside is clearly French-inspired. It's cute and I saw several folks scattered around the small seating area working on laptops or sipping coffee and chatting quietly. They have a few meal-ish offerings a la ham and cheese croissants and quiche. There's a small pastry case near the register where you can peruse their goods. It was a little bit picked over when I got there but it makes sense -- an hour before closing on a weekend, it's to be expected. I was thrilled to grab the last almond croissant! Service was so sweet! She asked me if I had a student ID for a student discount. I told her I was a student online at a different university and she said I could still have one if I had my ID. How nice! She also sent me off with the nicest goodbye and thank you. My almond croissant that I had for dessert later that night was delightful! Crumbly, flaky pastry, silky almond filling, pleasantly toasty almond slivers. I enjoyed every bite! I thought about only leaving 4 stars because I don't know if I've tried enough of the product to warrant a 5, but I really have no complaints, and so...5 it is! I will happily return when I'm in Florence again. :)

Service efficient and really pleasant and helpful. Buffet scrambled eggs were the low point - clearly Industrial powdered eggs - but they'll happily make you fresh eggs or a great omelet. So long as you get good eggs, the bacon, sausage, gravy biscuits, etc from the buffet are breakfast worthy. Else order off the menu, it'll be a good plate of food as well. Probably the tastiest thing about any breakfast in Alabama will be the Conecuh sausage - If you're not already a fan, do give it a try (just order sausage in Alabama, it'll be Conecuh!).
