Great spot for coffee and a light meal. Excellent roasts, friendly service, comfortable seating, nicely reclaimed downtown store. Bagel/lox, quiche bites, confirmed tasty.

The coffee is amazing, the service is excellent, and the price is unbelievably good. 10/10 would recommend.

Exploring Florence, we ate lunch at the BBB and thoroughly enjoyed it…read more Right off the bat-- as we walked in I asked my wife if we should ask to sit at the window counter (where we like to sit wherever we go) and the hostess heard me and took us there without asking us-- like she had ESP! And then the waitress was super friendly (like everyone we met in Florence). My wife had the ham po'boy which was grilled like a Cuban sandwich (yay!) and I had the fried shrimp po'boy. Both were excellent. For sides my wife chose a half grapefruit brûléed and I had marinated tomatoes. I remember having sugar on a half grapefruit as a kid, but bruleed? Epic! I loved the big wall in the front dining area-- half of a Cessna airplane on the wall, superimposed on a blueprint painting (see photo). Very creative. We'll be back!

I was afraid we were there too late in the day but I managed to glimpse the hours of operation and realized I could still duck in, and so I did! The inside is clearly French-inspired. It's cute and I saw several folks scattered around the small seating area working on laptops or sipping coffee and chatting quietly. They have a few meal-ish offerings a la ham and cheese croissants and quiche. There's a small pastry case near the register where you can peruse their goods. It was a little bit picked over when I got there but it makes sense -- an hour before closing on a weekend, it's to be expected. I was thrilled to grab the last almond croissant! Service was so sweet! She asked me if I had a student ID for a student discount. I told her I was a student online at a different university and she said I could still have one if I had my ID. How nice! She also sent me off with the nicest goodbye and thank you. My almond croissant that I had for dessert later that night was delightful! Crumbly, flaky pastry, silky almond filling, pleasantly toasty almond slivers. I enjoyed every bite! I thought about only leaving 4 stars because I don't know if I've tried enough of the product to warrant a 5, but I really have no complaints, and so...5 it is! I will happily return when I'm in Florence again. :)

Just had a couple breakfasts here, but looks like a really pleasant place for drinks and dinner…read more There was always live music wafting through the hotel lobby from Swampers each evening. Service efficient and really pleasant and helpful. Buffet scrambled eggs were the low point - clearly Industrial powdered eggs - but they'll happily make you fresh eggs or a great omelet. So long as you get good eggs, the bacon, sausage, gravy biscuits, etc from the buffet are breakfast worthy. Else order off the menu, it'll be a good plate of food as well. Probably the tastiest thing about any breakfast in Alabama will be the Conecuh sausage - If you're not already a fan, do give it a try (just order sausage in Alabama, it'll be Conecuh!). Wherever you travel, those local specialties are worthy of your attention.

Super relaxing day in a cabana by the pool with great food and fantastic service. So happy we have another full day here tomorrow. For lunch today my husband had the quesadilla plate and I had the kids chicken tenders and fries. They even accommodated my gluten allergy by grilling the tenders for me. For breakfast we had delicious made to order omelets and I had gluten free french toast because they have gluten free bread! Sydney was our server this morning and she was so sweet and Ben was our server yesterday morning and he was very kind and accommodating.
