Just don't. We recently purchased a home which had its service setup with them by the previous owner. I went in person to the store to confirm that I'd like to continue service, they wrote my information down and confirmed that I would be billed. Fast forward weeks later, my pool starts turning green and I realize no one has been here to service it. I called them to ask what was going on, turns out they were unable to "add me to their route" (remember, I was just CONTINUING service). They're short staffed, etc. No one had called to give me this news. It had been 5+ weeks since I'd notified them. I understand the lack of employees. I don't understand the lack of communication. One phone call could've avoided this review, but here we are. In the end, it worked out better since I found a much better company to service the pool. read more

My overall experience with this business has been unsatisfactory. After an in-home inspection and estimate for my pool motor, I went ahead and scheduled a service date. Unfortunately, no one showed up for the repair and I did not receive any call, which inconvenienced me tremendously as I had made myself available for that day. Every employee I had spoken to was either distracted or confused, and unable to locate any information concerning my account. My husband and I decided to look for other businesses in the area. Riverside Pool 'N Patio then sent me a bill indicating that I was past due for services rendered to me. Again, I telephoned the store and received yet another subpar customer service experience. The employee I spoke to was giggling at something going on in the store and then left me on hold for about 10 minutes while she attempted to locate my account. This type of customer service made my issue feel unimportant and I was offended that she would giggle while I was calling to address a serious issue - the fact they were billing me for services never rendered. It would benefit this business greatly if they invested in some sort of account management system that its employees can utilize to easily access customer accounts. Lastly, maybe it would do the business good to hire a professional front desk or clerical person to manage the phones. read more

I do all my own pool servicing, so my interactions are mostly about water balance and picking up my pool chems (although Mark just saved my bacon on a failed pump issue!!). We were dealing with a filter tank issue that was quickly threatening our pool water and making it impossible to swim. We made an appointment a couple days in advance and they were communicative and punctual. Martin showed up, immediately assessed the situation and provided a fair estimate, left to go get a part, came back and finished the whole job within 90 minutes. He stayed to make sure the system was running properly and to let us know to not hesitate to contact them in case of any future issues. I took My Dolphin Nautiluss CC Plus Robot cleaner in for servicing as they are an authorized dealer/repair facility. Mark the technician spent 2 weeks trying to resolve the issue and was unable to. The dealer then requested I send it to them in Florida. Riverside Patio N pool is about an hour drive w/traffic away. After driving up and picking up the unrepaired unit and returning home the dealer suggested I call Riverside Patio N pool back and ask to borrow a demo as my pool had not been cleaned in a month now. After a conversation w/Mark I drove up there again late in the afternoon/evening. When arriving there was a miscommunication and there were no more demos for loan. Mark could see my frustration and reached over and grabbed a brand-new unit still in the box handed it to me and said "Here use this one and keep it as long as you need till yours is returned" I was blown away at the unbelievable customer service. Mark is honestly such a ray of sunshine. He was so helpful after bog era pools sent me here for my chemicals. He was very informative and gave me a great price and even gave a floaty to my nephew who chewed a hole in it haha. I'm so glad I was sent here because I know that I am I'm good hands with my new pool. I had an accident getting Chlorine in my eye and accidentally put all the chemicals in the pool that were supposed to last the month.
