It's really easy to register - you complete 3 forms which you can either collect in the surgery or print from the website. You do have to live in either G3, G11 or G12 postcodes to register. There are advance and on the day appointments available as well as telephone consultations. I've only ever met Dr MacLaren and have always received an excellent and efficient service. This practice offers a really wide range of services including online patient access to repeat prescriptions, online cancellations and the ability to update your personal information. I love a technologically advanced public service! Everything is available here from travel health advice and services, house calls, stop smoking and children's health services. I love the prescription collection service where you can collect repeat prescriptions directly from the dinky wee Boots along the road. I've never really had cause to rave about a GP practice before but this one is truly fantastic!

They have recently installed computers to allow you to check in without queueing to speak to the receptionist and the computer system works really well. Waiting times are usually short and the practice nurse is friendly and considerateif you have to go to a doctors may as well be this one!

When you phone back at 8.30am all you get is an engaged tone. When you finally manage to get through you are told there are no more appointments left that day. So you ask how do I make an appointment to see a doctor - phone back at 8.30am tomorrow. It's Groundhog Day. It is apparently possible to make an appointment for two weeks away, by which time you are probable better or dead. I've no idea how good the doctors are as I can't see one to form an opinion.

The interior was cozy enough, but definitely needed an overhaul in regards to equipment and a sterile impression. I'm happy to say that the offices now have moved to a new location opposite the road into a very modern building, specifically designed and built for the purpose of being a practical environment to serve it's client base. ALL equipment and interior is new. What I like about the place is the space. The waiting room is massive, airy and bright , compared to others I saw and the receptionists are very friendly, in person and on the phone. You also have the self service check in option. The toilets and facilities appear to very clean. In the beginning you needed to make an appointment in advance and most likely you had to call early in the morning, so that they could allocate a free spot to you. Nowadays, they introduced a walk in option in the morning, which runs from 8-10 am. You should arrive before 10 and check in. A doctor will be allocated to you. I believe that there are about 5 main partners/ doctors and a few nurses who help and take appointments for minor inconveniences. A community psychiatric nurse is also available, as well as Family Planning, community midwife and Phlebotomists. Consultation is by Appointment: 7.30-8.30 Wed &Fri. 8.30-11.00 and 2.30-5.30. House calls are possible, but shall be avoided. They take on new patients, who live within their postcode area. Appointments are about 10min long. The location is near to Haymarket!

There are usually approx five or six doctors in practice and same again in nurses. They provide an excellent service. You are guaranteed an emergency appointment within 48hrs but is usually same day and if you just need to speak to someone they have telephone consultations. If you need to see the nurse no appointment is needed and you don't have to wait long to see her. They have also started evening appointments for people with 9-5 jobs who normally find it difficult to see a doctor. Reception staff are also really good and I find myself really lucky to have such a good doctor's practice on my doorstep.

The practice consists of 5 reletively young GP's and runs numerous health clinics; diabetes, hypertension, well woman, cervical screening and asthma. They have a great repeat prescription service which allows you to fill out a form online and even specify the chemist that you want to collect your drugs from. It does now also have a commercial side which provides health services for travellers. Free to NHS are vaccinations for Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Diptheria, Tetnus and Polio. All other services have fees payable for services from the Adventure Tourism Travel Health Clinic. Fees are payable for Hepatitus B, Meningitis and MMR vaccines.

I went there for help with a distressing painful problem ongoing which has been highly emotive. having had little sleep because of the painful and distressing condition which should have garnered some sympathy at least, I was accused of being aggressive! unbelievable when she was actually sitting there with a bad attitude which was actually passive aggressive and it was she who was upsetting me in fact. what a complete and total waste of my time it turned out to be.

I have asked multiple times where my records are which were transferred from London and have had no response. I called today and they have an answering machine on saying they are closed for the bank holiday - when there isn't a bank holiday and saying they will reopen in May?!? It's bloody September. My husband nearly…read moredied going there - he collapsed leaving the surgery after them taking blood and he was left lying on the street outside - he managed to stagger home covered in blood from his fall - and then went into seizure - and I had to call 999 for an ambulance as he had near heart failure - something not picked up at all by the doctor he had just visited. So emergency operation to fit a pacemaker. But that was put in wrong and it went all infected - my husband knew something was wrong with it - and went to the doctor here and they didnt even look at his chest or pacemaker - just gave him some painkillers and sent him home - again I had to check on the internet and found that the pacemaker was probably being rejected and again had to go into emergency again as doctor completely failed to even examine the patient - just issued a prescription of painkillers... honestly shockingly poor service - he is there now for the last time and I am insisting he changes his doctor tomorrow morning and NEVER EVER EVER RETURNS HERE - he has at the age of 65 waited nearly two hours and as I type still not seen - I am unable to phone the receptionist as they are not picking up the phone - so now my 65 year old husband faces a journey home in the dark through a park in gales - I am really really angry... you would have to be mad to go here - I have a doctor where you are seen in 30 - 40 minutes. I can imagine the diagnosis here - a packet of paracetamol - as they gave him for his heart pacemaker rejection.... one doctor on duty - not the regular one doctor some stand in... hardly adequate - but I am putting my foot down - my husband is not going back here ever.... dont understand how the other people rate this place as good - but I nearly very time my husband goes there as I never know if he is actually going to survive the experience - shocking place, shocking service - it should be shut down! - if you value your health find somewhere else - this review is not just about a coffee shop where you might have a nice cup of tea and a cake - but a warning to anyone thinking of going here - GO SOMEWHERE ELSE - THEY ARE DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH IN HERE...
