My SUV was a big pain in their butts. My water pump went. Unfortunately ford refuses to do a recall on these. David got it fixed. It was a long process as ford buried the water pumps. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!! I brought my wife's vehicle to have it service after her engine kept overheating and leaking coolant. After inspecting the vehicle, the mechanic stated that he had found the source of the problem and that the bill would be $300. I authorized them to service the vehicle and after making the repairs, they stated that the engine was still having the same problems. After speaking with the owner, he stated that I could pay the $300 for the parts and labor or that they could remove the parts that they had installed and I could get my vehicle back for $200 for the labor. Otherwise they had to keep the car. I became very upset because they wanted to know why they were charging me for their mistake when they did nothing to repair my vehicle. While in a dispute with the owner he then told me that her engine had a blown gasket and that it would now cost an additional $1200 to repair! I asked him if they had checked the engine thermostat (the next logical problem and least expensive) and he stated yes and that I needed a new head gasket. I paid them the $300 (which was money down the toilet) so that I could get my vehicle back and took it down the street to Pep Boys in Forest Park. They said they were going to charge me only $900 to repair the head gasket but guess what?! The only problem was that I needed a new thermostat! The guys at Pep Boys only charged me $200 for the repair and now the car runs perfectly. If you need to get your vehicle serviced, stay away from scammers like Riverside Car Care and take your vehicle to an honest and reputable business. These guys give auto mechanics a bad name!!! read more

We've used Riverside Car Care for years. I find them to be honest, trustworthy and quick.

I was there yesterday and was totally given false information. Came in for a "$39.95" alignment and walked out with a so called estimate of $600.. claiming my tie rods needed replacing, can't do the alignment but I still have to pay the fee.. You lure people in with that cheap alignment price and then try to screw them with so called required work that's needed before the alignment. I will never come to your establishment again. Shame on you!! I'll be reporting you to the BBB. FYI, I did get my alignment done elsewhere and 4 tires replaced for $600. Nice try thou!! read more

I have used Riverside Car Care for several repairs. They have always been friendly, honest and helpful. PAY NO ATTENTION to the 2 bad reviews posted. They are garbage. If they lift a car and find it needs tie rods before an alignment or even do one but tell you you should get them repaired. Don't you think it may be for your own safety? People want everything for nothing and as soon as they don't get their way it's off to the "Write a Review" to smear the establishment. Everyone loves to hate a mechanic. Riverside Car Care is the BEST. Don't be fooled by a few disgruntled customers who had junk cars to start with. Wow! I really dodged a bullet today, I'm glad I brought my car to Riverside Car Care. Times are tough as we all know, so I ask my boyfriend to work on my car from time to time. It is really cold today so he told me wait till Saturday, I don't think so. I have a 2002 Grand Am that has been good to me, I should have been nicer to him though. I call him Charlie! LoL He has just over 150,000 miles and I've had him since he was a baby. So I brought him in because brakes screeched to a halt, not so bad considering i would headbang uncontrollably while braking because rotors were so warped. I knew I had to do this repair on a budget so I called around and got my best price from Riverside Car Care. David (service writer) seemed nice so why not and when asked if I could bring my own parts, he said it was OK. Just couldn't warranty work. That's OK parts warrantied through Auto Zone. David called me about an hour later and notified me my left front caliper was leaking because rotors were so thin and brake pad non-existent caused caliper piston to overextend and fail. He said he would only be charging a little extra for having to bleed brake more thoroughly than usual. Also said that thin metal braces for brake pads were missing, and ordered some on the cheap. Guess that's what boyfriend means by "Extra parts" When came back to shop with caliper he showed me what was going on and I was mortified, brake fluid everywhere potential catastrophe in the making. Mechanic also advised was really low on engine coolant and added one gallon at no charge.Sweet! I am very satisfied with how I was treated and taken care of at Riverside Car Care. Seems like they really do mean what they say when they care about your car. I do not think I'll be asking my boyfriend to work on my car anymore. Would tell you how much I paid for total repair but don't like to strut. Good Luck :) read more
