This place is beyond amazing Eaten here 2x and I am just so impressed by the comfort and friendly staff and attentiveness we received!! Cannot wait for my next visit

At first, my husband and I were really excited to try this "mom and pop" looking place. When we went in, we were greeted with a friendly "hello" before being seated. We ordered two wraps at $7.99 each (the price listed on the menu). The food was fine. It's nothing to write home about. The problem occurred when we received our check charging us an additional $5 for each wrap!!! That's almost double the price on the menu. When we asked why, the register clerk stated they increased their prices to cover the increased cost of food. However, no one on the restaurant staff informed us, and the real prices aren't listed anywhere in the restaurant! This place really let us down. It appears they choose to overcharge us simply because we were from out of town and thought they could make a quick buck off us :(

    Known for their great breakfast!

Clean, super happy friendly staff and they were very fast getting our amazing lunch right to us. Great coffee shop vibe. We got the uptown club with a side of the best fries. And if you know me. I am picky about my fries. They were wonderful. The Uptown Club was great too. Big enough to split. The bread was fresh and I love when they use all the fancy different micro lettuce. Full of flavor. This is the perfect day for us. Cycling the High Bridge Trail and Lunch at Uptown Coffee House and Cafe.

When the order came from the kitchen, it was only one sandwich, so we had to ask them to make the rest of our order. We also bought a container of pasta salad from the cooler, but upon going to get it, we noticed the date written on the container was already four days past so we just left it there. The bathroom stank strongly of urine, like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks, and the floor felt sticky. I really want to like this place; I like the vibe, ownership's values obviously match my personal values and I want to support them, but I can't ignore these serious issues. Initial review from Jun 2024: We were there twice. The first time, the person at the register was unbelievably slow to get the people in front of us rung up. I don't remember the last time I have waited so long second in line. The second time, there was nobody at the register and we left after several minutes.

It's three restaurants under one roof! The buttery yellow exterior is warm and inviting, with gardens, arches, outdoor lights, lovely courtyard, and even a surrounding white picket fence! In this tiny town of Lunenburg, it was quite a surprise to find this countryside tea room/café/tavern! What a perfect location for weddings, and other events! We came for tea! The tea service is at 2:30 and the hosts kindly accommodated us calling a day ahead, as reservations are required. We were tickled pink when we entered the foyer painted a bright magenta with shelves of teacups and wide-brimmed fancy hats along the walls. Our table was in a cottage-styled room with English chintz floral tablecloths, robin egg blue walls, a cozy fireplace guarded by a hot pink lion statue keeping watch over his domain we dubbed him Pepper), and weathered wooden fences provided the backs for the benches, so shabby chic! We loved the bird motif throughout this cozy room! The mantle was strewn with various bird figurines, amidst bird houses & nests displayed at various spots around the room. Our places were set with beautiful rose patterned china, as Paul, our host offered us tea! He then brought the multi-tiered plate server that held the most delectable small bites I'd ever had at a tea room! Paul was extremely amiable and spot on as he described the offerings. He informed us that the chef, his wife Kathy, made everything from scratch! There was a scrumptious ham, cheese and green pepper quiche, an amazing spinach/feta pastry, and a creative Reuben pinwheel with homemade sauerkraut! Then of course, the classic cucumber finger sandwiches! We were blown away by the savories! The sweet potato & cinnamon scones were fluffy, dense and perfectly sweetened, served with a cinnamon vanilla whipped cream... delicious! For the dessert course, we we served pumpkin spice mini cakes & homemade chocolate truffles. Wow! We were completely satisfied with the food and the service was impeccable! A delightful conversation ensued with Paul and Kathy as we learned how they met and decided to open this establishment! Paul is also a shoemaker, and serves the local community cobbler services in a small shop behind the main farmhouse! After our meal, we wandered to the second tearoom which was painted a golden yellow with heavy wooden furniture exhibiting loads of china, coffee/tea urns, teapots, and collectibles. The focal point is the bright white fireplace, decorated for the season! Note the gorgeous Indian quilt wall hanging, quite a story there! This room is definitely more of an classic English style. Through the archway you enter the café, a much more casual atmosphere with a few tables donning oilcloth tablecloths, checkered floors, and a hutches and shelves filled with various teas, coffees, and gifts. Here the locals gather for sandwiches, salads, and a few menu specials! Also, along with homemade cakes and pies for dessert, they serve Richlands Ice Cream! The next room is the cozy British tavern with a couple high-top tables and seating at the small bar. I could definitely see my hubby and I here grabbing a pint, some pub fare and listening to live music. A blue leather chair, Guinness signs, suits of armor and deer heads add to the rustic, warmth of this quaint tavern. Nothing short of a power couple, Paul and Kathy have a flair for making their customers into their friends! I certainly hope they thrive and survive during this pandemic because it's obvious they are serving the community and surroundings towns with the best in culinary pleasures!

Husband got a double espresso and I ordered an Americano. His was in a cute cup, but mine was in a to-go cup with a lid. Since we were sitting in, I would have preferred a nice mug. We ordered a few pastries to bring home. I presume it was the owner working and he was very welcoming. He was cleaning the entire time (9am ish). On the positive, the place looks spotless. I did feel it was a little odd to mop while open and in the morning. The chocolate pastry in this picture was 10/10 for me, so good! It had so much flavor and texture with chocolate, pistachio and maybe some caramel. Would definitely go back, particularly to get items to take home.

Let me just say my review is based solely on my drink because that's the only thing I had. I ordered a chai latte with almond milk, the total was about eight dollars, which I find to be more expensive than other cafés. The chai latte lacked flavor, with no strong notes of black tea or cinnamon to indicate that it is a chai drink. Honestly, to me, it tasted like hot diluted milk. I took about 3/4 sips before I poured the whole thing down the drain at home. It actually was just bad. Really, I should've asked the barista for another drink as this one was not up to standard. I was so disappointed in this as I was excited to experience a new café. Their menu is soooo extensive and I find with places that have such large menus, they usually aren't good.
