Yummy brisket sandwich lunch! Each bite of brisket is tender & flavorful. The bark is perfection. Pecan pie - delicious. And the Big Red completes this meal. There are two picnic tables to enjoy your meal onsite with gorgeous mountain views and the river running by. This Texas girl will be back to enjoy a home tasting BBQ meal soon! Run - don't walk if you haven't tried River's Edge BBQ!

I was stuck in traffic during lunch time and caught a wif of the grill. I decided to pull and see how real Texas BBQ this was - I had lived in Austin, TX for 8 years. Tough thing to advertise. I ordered the brisket sandwich with coleslaw and potato salad. They said drinks could be purchased next door but $2 for a bottle of water or $5 for more others was a bit pricey for me. I sat in my car, open the Styrofoam container and started eating. The sandwich was real good and so was the sauce. There wasn't a choice but what they decided on was the correct one. The slaw was not a favorite but I enjoyed the potato salad. I am not a fan of plastic packaging these days and I feel the price I paid was a bit much for the amount of brisket I got. Enjoyable though but I'd make sure I had a drink on hand next time.

Pulled pork sandwich, waffle fries, baked beans, brisket tacos.

Scratch Deli and Bakery - This one was the Spanish with no meat. I think this was the best of the two.

The cashier was super friendly and let us have as much candy as we wanted, helped us pick menu items, and was very honest about wait times due to their busyness but was still quick to get our orders out as soon as she could. The restaurant has few tables so its more of a grab and go spot, but it is possible to sit at a small counter or select few tables. The sandwiches were all good, some better than others. Some people were happier with them than others. The specialty sandwiches got the best reviews.

All of their meats are cured in house and served on their fresh baked bread each day. They are vegetarian friendly and offer vegan and gluten free options. They also offer breakfast items like burritos. Be aware their sandwiches are loaded with ingredients and big. I could only eat half of my sandwich. I do appreciate the size though as you never know how hungry you are going to be after a long hike especially in this altitude. We went with the turkey sandwich and added cheese, all kinds of toppings and a spread. These sandwiches were very tasty and all the veggies on the sandwich were so fresh. Their baked goods looked so inviting especially the cinnamon rolls. I will have to come back! Service was efficient and helpful. Parking can be a bit of a challenge when they are busy. It was the perfect stop before entering the park!

Where's Uncle Tony when you need him?…read more Honestly, someone call Nonna and have her send Uncle Tony over to politely break some bread--or maybe some legs--because The Sandwich Mafia is disrespecting the family... and the sandwich game. These sandwiches? Fuggedaboutit. Dry, flavorless, and thinner than my cousin Vinny's patience. If this is what they're calling a "hit," then it's a miss, capisce? We ordered The Uncle Tony, which comes with salami, pepperoni, mortadella, provolone, lettuce, tomato, pepperoncini, black olives, and oil & vinegar on a hoagie. This was, without question, the saddest sandwich I've ever had the displeasure of paying for. One flimsy slice of each meat and cheese, and the bare minimum of veggies they could legally get away with. If Uncle Tony knew his name was being slapped on this, he'd have made The Sandwich Mafia sleep with the fishes. Their Instagram? Fugazi. It's all thick stacks of meat, cheese, and toppings. But what you actually get is a sad, limp excuse for a sandwich. Check the photos I posted if you need the visual heartbreak. Do yourself a favor--save your appetite, your wallet, and your dignity. Go eat somewhere else. Heck, even Subway would've been a hundred times better... and that's saying something.

Love this place and will be thinking about it on our next trip through town. Wow! What a vibe!…read more Things were picking up by the time we got there for lunch. We were greeted by a really nice blonde girl that showed us our seats. She was down to earth and was just beaming with great vibes. Then we got Matt. As if the experience wasn't already great from hanging out with friends, Matt invited us with an amount of aloha that is only found in Hawaii! We ordered chips and onion dip. The ramekin that the onion dip came with was really small compared to the amount of chips we received. It was delicious! Maybe substitute toasted bread next time? I ordered the poke and that was outstanding! It came with a creamy ginger dip that tied things together. For being landlocked and in the mountains, this is a dish I will remember! Matt also brought out a Hong Kong sriacha that definitely elevated everything. The reggae (music), positive vibes, and down to earth feel was a great way to end our trip before getting back to the grind. What a place! The scenery speaks for itself too and the staff is top notch!

For entrees, we selected carnivore and sweet potato gnocchi. One major thing I liked about their dishes is the variety of vegetables within the soup and entrees. Carnivore had freshly sautéed broccoli, and Gnocchi had zucchini, onions, and cauliflowers. It makes the whole meal feel more healthy and balanced. We finished our meal with lady bird bread pudding. Overall the service was great and welcoming. Highly recommend! PS. They also offer to send out a postcard for you. I enjoyed writing the postcard in the restaurant!
