I made the 2-hour drive to this place to support my hometown team's amateur basketball league competitions. Needless to say, the gym was much occupied by many people who were also there supporting their own hometown teams. What I was impressed most about was that it was around 105-110degF outside and they gym's indoor AC was able to handle that crowd. We were all pretty dang comfortable inside. There were also a couple of parties going on at the rec center just across the way. I saw that they were allowed to grill outside as an add on to the food. But they are strict about the given time slot. Basketball league reserved the gym from 8am-6pm. At 550pm, a staff member had issued a warning that we were to be out in 10 minutes. (No biggie. I understand we already took up their time on a Saturday and that they do have to go home, too...) Bathrooms were clean for a while until people started not caring and just couldn't be bothered to put their used paper towels in the trash can properly. Parking not an issue. I don't live anywhere around here, but should I hear of anyone needing a venue for such occasions, this place might just pop up in mind.

This is a fabulous little park that I often see while I am out walking. It encompasses 8 acres and has a community center with an activity room and a gymnasium. Outside, there are a few picnic tables, each with their own charcoal grill. There are also three large covered areas, each with a number of long picnic tables and two charcoal grilling stations. The tables are kept very clean and the whole facility appears to be well maintained. There are two separate play areas with a flooring of soft bark, each meant for a different age group. The larger play structure is geared towards children ages 5-12, and there are swings in this area also. The smaller play structure is geared towards children ages 2-5. In this area there are swings with toddler seats and toys low to the ground with springs on the bottom. There is a single basketball (half) court and there are large open areas where kids of all ages can play. There are benches convenient for parents to sit and keep an eye on their children. There is even bike parking near the play structures for those families who wish to ride over, as well as more bike parking near the community center building. All in all, this is a very pleasant little 8 acre park in the Riverlakes Ranch community not too far from where I live.

This is a great place for an event at a reasonable price. The area is clean, nice temperature control on the room, it has a great location and a friendly staff (other than one woman in the office). It's our group's new go to place for large events that we have a couple times a year. There's a full kitchen, rectangular and round tables and nice folding chairs. Everything is clean.

Took picture at 730pm no flash. Park is very well lite

We generally walk the outer edges of the shade in order to avoid the sun and the heat. The park is clean, including the restrooms. The times we have been here there were no encampments of those down on their luck. The outer perimeter of this park is somewhere like 1200 steps if you are counting. With the mature trees present, about 70% of this walking is in the shade if you go in the morning.

Ten years ago, when my youngest brother was still in high school, we would raid the deli department at Vons and have picnics here on the grass under one of the many shade trees. Parking here is a little tricky. You can park along the curb on the West side on Patton (east side is marked no parking) or you can turn West onto Maleta, then North onto Gallio to park in the lot next to the elementary school. There are individual picnic tables spread randomly throughout the park under the trees, some with their own individual barbecue grills. There is also a large covered area shading a number of long picnic tables which were being used for a children's birthday party on the Sunday I was there with a large bouncy house set up nearby for their entertainment. The group picnic shelter, with a capacity of 80 people, can be reserved by contacting the NOR Parks & Recreation District at 392-2020 and filling out an application form. The cost for reserving the picnic shelter is $15 per hour, with a minimum 3 hour reservation. You can access the application at http://norfun.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/FR-100-Use-of-Facility-Online-Packet.pdf There are public restrooms located nearby. There a a number of recreational options available at this park. There is plenty of playground equipment available for kids of all sizes, some with bark below and some with a rubberized safety surface. There is a basketball half court complete with one basket that has a net. There is also an area for playing horseshoes with poles on either end. There is also a huge grassy area suitable for playing soccer (there was a group playing there this Sunday), picnicking, or for just running around. It has something to appeal to everyone in the family! There is even a geocache hidden somewhere within the park. Yes, I've found it, but I'm not giving you any clues, so don't ask. At 12.4 acres, this park can accommodate quite a few weekend picnickers and sports enthusiasts and the same time.

Usually regulars will tie extra poop bags to the fence and bring bottles of water. Because this park is a sump, garbage can sometimes wind up at the bottom of the park, but it's maintained weekly and is usually pretty clean for a dog park. The one thing this place NEEDS desperately is more signage about the rules. Last Sunday, July 11, 2021 we arrived around 8am and found a group of about 20 boys and 4 coaches having football practice. Usually I wouldn't mind this type of thing and welcome the socialization for the dogs, but the kids were not properly talked to about respecting the dog park. One of the boys opened the fence gate and let both of my dogs out, who of course then bolted out into the busy street. I feel that this could have been avoided if there were proper signs about closing the fence and being mindful of the dogs. Especially because this dog park is just the small fenced in area of a larger park, I feel like they could play anywhere and dogs really just have this one spot.
