We have redone bathrooms, the kitchen twice as well as the laundry room. What I appreciate most about this establishment is the staff. They never fail to aim to please. They are extremely patient and make a concerted effort to listen to our needs without pushing the envelope for expensive materials. They always take the consumer's budget into consideration and stay with in those parameters. It is also incredible to see the longevity of the sales people there. I have not seen a huge turnover in there been people that I can remember from many years ago. In these days, the new trend seems for people to go from one job to another after a couple of years. This is certainly not the case at Old Country Ceramic and is definitely a testament to the way they the employees must feel about their work. They have a huge selection of beautiful tile's in every price range possible. I am proud to share some recent pictures of two bathrooms that were renovated within the last year in our home. All the tiles, grout, etc. was purchased under the guidance of some incredible sales people. They were so helpful in making my dreams come to reality. For my master bathroom, I wanted to achieve a very tropical, zen, spa like retreat. The guest bathroom was previously a bedroom and I wanted at perfectly elegant , yet understated place for guests. Shu helped us select the perfect quartz for our kitchen and bathroom. Because I needed to see a larger piece to truly understand how it would look, she called me within one day and arranged for the workers in the yard to cut a large sample from the slab. That extra effort made the decision so much easier. Emre was extremely pleasant and easy to work with. He gave us an excellent price and took the time to explain how to care for the quartz and how the warranty works. The person who came to measure was also terrific. He suggested several changes that made a great deal of sense and improved the final result. The installers were fabulous. We were keeping our existing backsplash, so I was concerned that it might be damaged when they removed the old granite countertop. They completed the removal with only one tiny sliver coming off the backsplash--and they repaired it so perfectly that you cannot even tell anything happened. Everyone at Island Granite was professional, knowledgeable, careful and accommodating. I highly recommend this company to anyone planning to update a kitchen or bathroom. They are absolutely amazing, and I couldn't be happier with the entire experience and the beautiful results! Shelley stockner Sent from my iPhone

A good selection of cabinetry and countertop materials for what we needed. One of the advantages of working with this company is they provide an all in price which includes design, fabrication, demolition, electric and plumbing work, drywall, installations of cabinets and all appliances as well as paint. They coordinate everything. Agreed on a schedule and they kept it. No issues with "extra" work coming up during construction either. They are very interested in customer satisfaction. There were some crossed signals on communication but we were flexible so no big deal. Recommend them for kitchen bath work large or small.

Very Disappointed - Would Not Recommend…read more My 83-year-old parents hired Great Rock for new quartzite countertops and backsplash after multiple in-person meetings with the owner. Unfortunately, the entire experience was a huge letdown. Each time the crew came to install, something went wrong -- cracked quartzite, poorly cut cabinets (for a sink we ordered directly from them), and rough, visible seams. Despite sharing a detailed list of concerns, the owner never returned as promised. Instead, he sent different crews each time, none of whom corrected the issues. The craftsmanship was sloppy, the crews were careless, and my elderly parents were treated as if they were a nuisance. The final straw was when they failed to properly measure for the cooktop, leaving my 83-year-old father to figure out how to reinstall it himself. What started as a hopeful project turned into a stressful, frustrating mess. We chose Great Rock because the owner seemed committed and involved -- but after the first day, we never saw him again. Sadly, I cannot recommend this company. They did not deliver on their promises, their work was subpar, and their treatment of my aging parents was deeply disappointing.

The differentiator for us was that Stu was the only contractor who pointed out concerns that nobody else did, that would have been missed or would have become change orders which I hate. Being that my husband is a mechanical contractor , he is very aware of a lot of the tricks of the trade. Stu also is quite creative and my wife and Stu made some additional improvements which have had a great impact on the value of our cottage. We were very comfortable with Stu and his AMS team that we left him full access to our cottage. For us communication is key and Stu readily responds to his phone, texts and emails. At times I am a bit pushy, well more then pushy , and I did appreciate Stu's tolerance. Stu is not a yes man, and was not afraid to challenge me at times, in a polite manner of course and I found this very helpful to ensure the right work was performed.
