I've been to Sand Valley twice before - just made my 3rd trip. Also been to Bandon Dunes once. All…read moretold, I've now played 5 different courses. The Sedge (46 days old when I played it) was quite nice but the least impressive of the 5 I've played. If I were a relative beginner, or elderly, it would be the easiest of all the courses to play. (par 68,... but A LOT of up-and-down). There was nothing about this course that was more impressive than the other 4 I've played. I had a good caddy but the 3 guys I played with didn't take caddies and sprayed the ball all over the place so my caddy ended up spending time helping them too. I hope they tipped him. And while most of the facilities and services were top notch, i did get a little attitude from employees a couple of times. I was disappointed that in the Main pro shop, they did not have a scorecard for the Sedge. Nobody told me there was no practice putting green at The Sedge. I guess I should have asked. I knew to hit balls before going to the course, but didn't putt. Fairways weren't as lush as I expected for a 46-day old course. It's rustic. Greens weren't cut very short so they played very slowly and it was difficult for me to adjust (I take responsibility for that). The three tees are nice - one of them is up in the beginning of the fairway, so (again) if I were a beginner or elderly, I'd like that option. I'll go back to the resort, but I probably won't play The Sedge again.

Sand Valley..... There have been many reviews praising the amazing golf available on your courses…read morethe food too has been praised, and deservedly so. My 5 Stars are for the people.... the waitstaff, grounds crew, caddies, pro shop crew and those working behind the scenes. You put up with The Good, the bad and the Ugly...... Thanks for making Sand Valley such an outstanding experience.

Lake Arrowhead Golf Course - Golf is a lifelong sport.... Years of practice to master. My game hasn't improved but my ability to swear has.

The Rome/Nekoosa area just 40 miles North of the Dells is getting worldwide acclaim as a golf destination. Even the local airport has had to lengthen runways and increase fuel storage to accommodate the increasing number of private jets flying in. Sand Valley is the biggest draw with currently 5 courses on site and ever expanding. If you have a few million dollars casually lying around there are homesites available at Sand Valley. There is also Northern Bay, The Ridges, Bullseye and more within a short ride. When visiting and playing the courses be kind to your fellow golfers and follow the rules of the course you're playing on. Some may require replacing the divot you hit out that may have traveled further than your golf ball, others require not replacing the divot but sprinkling the provided grass seed into the newly minted divot. One final tip, please use the provided restrooms located on the courses. Some of us live on the courses and don't enjoy the view of golfers walking into the woods, relieving themselves and ultimately showing off their shortcomings.

My newbie golf journey continues (just over two months in), and I took advantage of playing this…read moregolf course with at Adams County Park. It was a last minute decision to go golfing. Therefore, we had to golf twilight because there were no earlier openings. We played the Pines starting at 4:45 pm and we were able to get 15 holes in before it got dark. It was just me and my husband, so we were able to play fast. I must say that this one stands out as the best I've played at so far - so pretty. What truly impressed me was the impeccable maintenance of the greens. They were like putting on velvet - smooth, consistent, and a true test of my putting skills. The fairways were impressive. They provided a perfect surface for my shots, and the layout of the course was challenging yet fun. I found myself thoroughly enjoying the variety of holes. There was cart service available and ball marker collectible - bonus! With its well-maintained greens, lovely fairways, appealing layout, and friendly staff, it's certainly worth a visit.

Large servings of fishes, whether it's one huge piece of walleye, 6 medium sized triangle blue gill or 3 cod pieces. Got a coleslaw, some beans and soft brown bread with butter that came with it. Of course, lots of menu items to choose from for lunch and dinner. Big parking lot.

I believe Brandon was his name, but he was less than accommodating. We were a little slow, with it being my first time and there were 4 of us. A group had come up behind us and so we planned to let them ahead of us. Brandon came up to us and asked us to let them pass. Of course. We dont want to hold up. On the last hole, he came up to us to make sure we weren't playing anymore because it was backed up. The group we had let pass us were still playing before we could start. We weren't holding anything up but he insisted on berating us about being slow. If that hadn't been enough, my friend had accidentally thrown her styrofoam cup in the recycling and acknowledged that. Brandon VERY RUDELY said "styrofoam cannot be recycled. It's bad for the environment." Obviously she knew or she wouldnt have said something. He was just rude to us for no reason and really made me feel awful for even attempting golf.
