The reception hall is beautiful with room for a large wedding party including a dance floor! Also the golf course was busy with 2 outings on our wedding weekend...no problem! But the steak, that was hands down the best part; high quality cut of meat that lived up to the thick cut menu description, seasoned and cooked perfectly with almost no fat. The steak came with caramelized sautéed mushrooms and onions that were a wonderful compliment. The asparagus was nicely grilled with great flavor and a good crunch, something that I loved because I hate mushy over cooked asparagus. The baby red potatoes were also perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have an extremely high appreciation for the culinary industry and the art that goes in to quality food, and the meal I had here today clearly presented the strong passion of the Chef who prepared it. There are some pretty bad patches on the greens they they need to address. It is a challenging course, but not so much that you will loose 10 golf balls on any given day. Its remote location makes it hard to justify really getting out here and having to navigate around back roads to find the place.

Pace of play can be an issue, but that all depends on who is in front of you. In my case, teenage employees at the course were playing in front of me and they were neither very quick nor very good. One even forgot his PW next to the green. Nuckleheads. If you are in the area and want a challenging 18, try this place. Some fairways are wide open but others are narrow and surrounded by trees. Be sure to bring plenty of golf balls.
