All of our family and friends were so impressed by the venue, accommodations and service provided! Not only were those two nights amazing, there was months of communication, and service in the whole entire planning process along the way thru the engagement to make sure everything was set and in order. Such a BEAUTIFUL place to play golf. So well maintained…read more Greens definitely have some undulations, but are quick, and roll well. Fairways are lush and wide enough to be fair. Balls off line will be lost in the woods in a lot of cases, but there are generous landing areas. Great place. Worst part of the day was the bar wasn't open when we finished at 11:15 so no after golf cocktails lol. Get out and play it.... you won't be sorry.

We all met in an acting class in Bloomington, IL and formed an acting troop known as The Dead Barbers. We specialize in reenactments of moments that happened a few minutes ago. Our round of golf went really very well. We know how busy it can be on a Saturday and totally understood that carts were in short supply. There were clear tiers in the power rankings of our group of 7 Dead Barbers' golfing performance. Tier one was Red 2 Snakes. Tier two was White 7 Squirrel. Tier three was Blue 4 Bruiser. Tier four was Green 3 Fox, Black 5 Hawk, and Pink 1 Puma. And finally tier 5 was Gray 6 Sheriff who didn't participate due to LLLL. The staff was very helpful and in a great mood especially in the pro shop. Some highlights of our 9 holes included a Packers training camp filibuster, a return of the Lost Ball Boys, sad songs on the playlist, and a X 9 or nothing last hole where a Pink 1 Puma golf ball got scooped up by a black hole. The food was as if a specialty catering company brought the food in, but no, it was prepared and served by the golf course owners and their staff. The reception hall is beautiful with room for a large wedding party including a dance floor! Also the golf course was busy with 2 outings on our wedding weekend...no problem! They coordinated all of that with ease! While we didn't have time to golf the course, it looked amazing as well. 5 stars is just not high enough for this amazing place! Love it!

I would definitely recommend scheduling a tee time in advance, especially if you have a group. The course is in great shape and I especially loved the back nine with the flowers and a few holes along the brook. After playing, you can get a half priced drink at the bar with your receipt. The Bloody Mary was delicious, made spicy and garnished with a seasoned pickle, and the bartender was kind and friendly.

It is a nine hole course that can be played back to back for 18. No major water hazards, but the woods will keep anybody, but a straight driver, searching. One of my favorite features, however is the clubhouse. Yes there is a pro shop and you can get some basic refreshments but what you MUST do after your game is sit in one of the many rocking chairs that bedeck the wrap around porch, marvel at the decades of markings in the old wooden floor from years of spikes trodding on them and enjoy the spectacular view of plum lake!

He also said we disrespected the course for driving on the grass (then make cart paths-there wasn't through paths in a lot of areas) He argued over us getting a refund for the back nine so we could just leave instead of finishing out and he gave us $25 out of our $85 dollar fee. The only person that helped us out to get the refund was showing John the warden how to work the computer to do a refund too. I hope you never go to this course if it is the only course with open tee times

Since these rooms are so far from the main lodge, they should consider putting a mini fridge with a freezer and ice cube trays in the room. They should also have extra linens and extra toilet paper on hand. Overall the modular home was nice and clean, and the noise wasn't too loud. I do want to give a shout out to Leslie, the hotel's rooms director. She resolved an issue with our room quickly and professionally after some confusion with our online booking. There's a pool and a small arcade area for kids. We only used the arcade, didn't try the pool, but it looked very nice. We didn't eat at the restaurant. Fun fact: there are tons of deer in the area, and they don't seem to be afraid of cars, so be careful driving. Pricing was fair, but they really need to invest in the property and improve the rooms and facilities overall.

The bathrooms were dank and dirty. The shampoos and conditioners were empty. Shower wasn't clean, mildew on the walls. The door for the bathroom got us stuck in the bathroom more than once. The weird thing was the employees are young attractive girls no men found while we were there. The men there were older adults hitting on the female staff. Just a creepy. We felt out of place being LGBTQIA+. lots of my res hat wearing families and men at the resort. The over all resort was rundown and in desperate need of repairs And updates. We left early And went home.
