Sergio was very busy but was able to come out on a Sunday to look at the project and then sent a bid through email. I found his price to be very competitive and he understood the work we needed done. He and his crew came out and did the project in 1 day. It was a small project so it was done in 1 day, we paid at the end of the day after the project was done. They hauled and disposed of the old concrete matter. The crew was well mannered. They cleaned up the area well when they finished the project. We were happy with the work and we do recommend him.

Sergio came our, quoted the job and told us about his business and after comparing the quotes we realized that Sergios was very competitive. So we hired him and his team. They came out and in one day did all the concrete work that we needed by concreting, where two stalls were in our barn, concreted, the lean too attached to our barn for us to store our tractor and also put in a concrete pad for a propane tank. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted. His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. After they completed the job, Sergio hauled away the old concrete that they had to tear out. I will definitely refer him to anybody that I know. And we will use him again in the future.

Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism…read more This was my experience with Groundworks Foundation Consultation. Beau Roper arrived at our property on time, introduced himself politely, and gave us a quick overview of what to expect -- how long things would take and when we'd get the report back. We walked the property together so I could point out any issues and he could ask questions. He then got to work, explaining that the inspection would take about an hour to an hour and a half since he needed to be thorough and photograph everything on the property. We ran some errands and came back just as he was finishing up. He walked us through everything he'd done and made sure my wife felt comfortable with the findings before leaving the property clean and orderly. Moving forward, Groundworks kept us updated on the status of the report and what to expect next. Everything arrived exactly on time. I can't thank them enough -- this was an exceptional experience compared to other contractors I've dealt with. Groundworks provided a very thorough report, complete with the licensed engineer's information, which made a real difference. Quick note for anyone in Texas: there's no state license or requirement to be a foundation contractor here -- all you need is a shovel. It's a pretty wide-open, unregulated space. That's what made Groundworks' transparency stand out even more. As it turned out, our house didn't need any foundation work, so we don't know firsthand how they'd handle an actual repair. But if we ever do need one, it'll be with Groundworks -- because of how Beau Roper handled everything, start to finish.

The original bid was 26k but by November, Ruben the contractor & owner was stating he needed more (he "misfigured" the quote and forgot to add the cost of doors and windows. W standard doors and 3 windows raised my project by 4k. By the end of September, RG Concrete was paid in full but the work was 50% complete. Delay after delay and excuse after excuse. The work that was completed was subpar at best. After demanding a completion by the end of October that did not happen - we filed in small claims. I had to hire another contractor to fix the work RG Concrete performed as well as finish it. Once we arrived in court, Ruben was very untruthful throughout the proceedings. They came out and worked on the chimney by power washing it. I was not home at the time, but I received a notification that the job was done and that I could pay. I told him I wouldn't pay until I saw a photograph of the work. At that point he told me they did not repair the brick (not sure why, as that was the whole point of the job.) I am not sure why. They came back and added mortar over the crumbling rock instead of removing the old mortar. It does not look neat and smooth as it does in their promotional photos. The power washing was done very well but I question whether this company actually has the 25 years of masonry experience that they say they do. Make sure you discuss the job throughly with any repair person you work with and understand the process. I think the quotes I got from other companies were extreme for this type of work, I think it might be better to go with a more established company. Wow they had me pay with a check and make the name out to the owner as opposed to a company name so might be avoiding's taxes as well.
