This is a great little bar with a fun, laid-back atmosphere! The pizza was delicious, the wings were cooked perfectly, and the service was friendly. Definitely a great spot to grab some good food, cold drinks, and relax after a day in the river. This is our go to place when we're in the area. read more

Food is amazing, well worth the wait. Pizza and salads taste as if they truly care for their product. I will most definitely be eating here again. read more

Kelley makes the best pizza and I tried the wings and they turn out to actually be the best I have ever had. Not kidding. They had a smoky taste along with the buffalo sauce. Yum Yum. Pizza was loaded with pepperoni and cauliflower crust make me feel less guilty for eating pizza. read more

Pizza was excellent, crust was perfectly cooked and toppings were fresh. Med combination pizza 18+tax exactly enough for two.

No no no no no. The place is homey comfy and the guests were friendly, but the staff not so much and we dealt with 3 different people. We ordered a lot of food to go and sat waiting for it for more than 3 hours. We checked in a few times and the lady that took our order said they are working on it every time. Finally I went to ask where we are in the process bec I'd like a refund at this point. We hadn't eaten all day and had no idea they were working with one little pizza oven and an air fryer (the young man informed me when the food was finally done). We checked everything and noticed our desserts were missing so we went to get them and the young man had to go ask the woman that took my order. She came to me and I told her we are missing the 2 desserts. At this point I decide I better look thru the 2 bags to make sure I have everything. I discovered we were missing other items and informed them of this. The lady that took my order asked me to prove I ordered everything. Of coarse, I have no way of doing that. She took my order and gave me nothing, not even a number, stating I ordered. So I started rambling everything off that I ordered and the total amount and pulled up the charges on my phone. She then says oh yeah it's going to be a few minutes. The service was horrible. Most of the food was not edible. We would only return to drink, socialize, and play pool, but would not eat here if we ever return. read more

Food was horrible the last time we went in. Been getting it for years but nothing has been the same since they first opened. Original recipe was always the best plus they delivered for a good price and that's what made it so genuine for the valley. Now that's it's been ran through with owners changing stuff, it's just like a frozen pizza for triple the cost of a digorno pizza. read more

Ever since a new operator arrived the food has gotten increasingly better. Great pizza/wings and always a fun place for a cold beer

Big thumbs down for River Valley tavern pizza. Called in an order at 8:00 on Friday afternoon was told it would be ready in 45 minutes. Showed up 45 minutes later to pick up the order and they "ran out of dough" and couldn't make the order. Could have at least had the decency to call and tell me that before I drove 15 minutes to pick up my pizza. read more

This is definitely a hidden gem! The Pizza is so good. It's hot and cheesy. The sausage is the best! Will come back to this place over and over again read more

We keep trying their pizza, but it is seriously bad. We threw it away again. Not sure what is so hard about this but they really need to either quit trying to make pizza's or let someone come in that can successfully operate this portion of the business. read more

Cindy is very friendly. The food is great for bar pizza. The drinks are cheap. I only gave it 3 stars because they have political signs all over the bar and it's insulting to a large group of people. I would recommend it because the food is good and the vibe is good but the political signs need to go! We drink to forget the hatred not insight more. read more

I was very disappointed with my experience at River Tavern. I came in with my service dog, who is trained to assist me with my disability. Under Arizona law (ARS § 11-1024) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), people with disabilities have the legal right to be accompanied by their service animals in public places. Despite this, the staff refused me service because of my service dog. This was not only upsetting, but also against the law. My service dog was calm, under control, and housebroken -- all requirements under state and federal law. Businesses should be aware that service animals are not pets and that denying access to someone with a service dog is discrimination. I hope the owner and management take the time to educate their selves and their staff about the law so that no one else with a disability has to go through this. read more

If you want to wait an hour and a half for your pizza this is the place. It's not busy and we're still waiting.

I ordered the river rat supreme pizza to go and it was missing several toppings. Based on previous reviews and pictures I was expecting a delicious pizza....but it was far from it. Pretty decent pizza close to home and I can have a beer while I wait. What more do you need?

Driving through and we were all hungry and found this place on Yelp. I won't lie, when we drove up we questioned our decision. No windows on the building, doors are completely covered up with ads. The sign outside advertises a Tavern but no sign (that we saw) for River Rat Pizza. Parking lot is compacted dirt. We headed on in and found a bar with lots of locals (you can tell based on their interactions that they all know each other). In the corner of the bar is a door - one of those that 1/2 opens while the other 1/2 stays closed - that houses River Rat Pizza. Dollar bills with writing are on the walls and ceiling along with old records for the decor. Definitely more of a to go place for the pizza . Drinks must be ordered and paid for at the bar itself which is a different business then the pizza place. After ringing the bell on the counter (the 1/2 door) a gentleman came over to take our order. We got a pizza 1/2 veggie and 1/2 supreme, garlic cheese bread, and an antipasto salad. The order took awhile and we did question our decision to come here based on dive bar feel and looks we got from the locals (not anyone working in the bar or pizza place). River Rat Pizza ended up being a pleasant surprise though. The salad had the cheese freshly grated and the meats freshly chopped. The cheesy garlic bread - while greasy - was delicious and full of flavor. The pizza was good. The sausage had excellent flavor and the garlic on the veggie side perfect. We all agreed we would happily stop here again if passing through. Although we would probably call ahead and just get it to go. read more

One of the best pizzas ive ever had and im from So Cal! And Italian at that! Well, best Americanized pizza

Did a quick yelp search for pizza when I was in Needles, CA for work. Called and asked about the type of crust as the website says hand tossed, extra thin, extra thick and gluten free. I told her I wanted thin crust but not crunch like cracker. I placed my order and picked it up. It looked just like I wanted and on my first bite, it was exactly as I hoped. Thin like New York style pizza and not crunchy. I ordered the Bucky's Special which is Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushrooms and I loved it. I even called the place back to let her know she nailed it! read more

everything there sucked. they had a memorial going and that would have been fine except they decided not to tell us. I personally would never want any bar to set aside a bar stool for me on a memorial. I would want as many people partying as possible not the bar setting aside a set where I use to sit. i would never want a place to set something aside for me I would want everyone to party instead read more

Super surprised to walk in to the Tavern for a cocktail and find out that River Rat Pizza was available for dine and delivery. I'm not a huge Pizza fan so this is a big deal for me to take a moment for a review. Delivery guy shows up and said "it's the best pizza will ever have". Turns out he was right! We got the Buckys special. Pepperoni, sausage and mushrooms it did not disappoint. Whole Family is happy and can't wait to try the other choices. read more

Oh 'em gee!!! Let's start with that. Finally in 2021, we have a legit pizza joint in Mohave Valley. This was absolutely amazing and I'm not even a fan of pizza. Don't look at the pricing because you get plenty in product for that! Thank you river rat for a wonderful Sunday dinner that fed 4 and still had leftovers. read more

Delicious Pizza inside the tavern. Just walk in the front door and the pizza door is around the corner to the right, by the bathrooms.

I placed my order online, and when I went to pick it up they said they weren't even aware I had placed an order. Small town in the sticks trying to utilize technology beyond their capabilities. Then, half an hour later, when I went to get the food, it was cold; we had ordered a "hot" chicken sandwich and a medium pizza. It very well could have been more enjoyable had we actually ordered and eaten in-house, but the trade off for the convenience of takeout should not be so drastic regarding food quality. It does seem like a cool little dive bar to stop for a couple of brews, so please note that the low rating pertains to my specific situation and that situation alone. Just might be worth checking out if you're only in town for a night or passing through making a quick stop. Just don't order online. They're aware of the issues with their new system implementations and they'll still happily take your payment without any knowledge of your order being placed. read more

Best pizza around. Price is on point they are fast convenient and tastes great. Staff is friendly and polite

Hands down the best pizza in town. Family owned and operated pizza business. Located Inside of the River Valley Tavern, the longest standing drinking establishment in the area. Relaxed vibe where customers can feel at home. Friendly staff and friendly patrons. On autumn nights you can usually find a circle of kind people sharing laughs and brews around the fire out back. If your feeling less social they will deliver almost anywhere. They will even bring you pizza straight to a beach or boat ramp! read more

I live part time nearby and was looking for something quick, however everything nearby was closed or closing soon, it was around 8:30p when I started looking on Yelp. I see the reviews were good for River Rat Pizza and I didn't remember seeing this place along Hwy 95, so I was curious and had to give it a try. I jumped in my ATV and mapped the location... it's inside of River Tavern... I've seen River Tavern, and I'd been there once prior a while ago, and ordered pizza, I just didn't know it was a seperate business.... Anyway, as for the Pizza.. I ordered a Thin Crust Pepperoni, Mushroom, and Onion Pizza over the phone. It was ready shortly after I arrived and the staff (two dudes) were very nice and accommodating.. I ended up talking to some folks in the bar and they offered to keep my pizza hot for me. I appreciated their offer and ended up eating it there in the tavern with my new friends. read more
