Awesome chai tea lattes and great service. Only got coffee to go, but if you stay there is an indoor and outdoor sitting area. It also looked like you can play board games while sipping on your coffee and tea. If ever in the Florence, Oregon area again, I will definitely stop by again. read more

I've gotten both a whole milk and Breve latte here the last couple days and have been very impressed with the quality and taste. Janie got the Nutella mocha iced coffee and said it was amazing. Went in for coffee and breakfast treats. Watery coffee, and breakfast "pie" and quiche that were served cold. Really? Cold. Which means they were also old. Of course we didn't realize this till we were already on our way down the road. Really not happy with our experience here. Although I have a multitude of methods and opportunities available to me for caffeine ingestion, I prefer to patronize and frequent the River Roasters coffee shop. As I stumble through the doors of this fine establishment, the staff are always friendly and patient as I ramble, semi-coherently through my order. Whether it be a cappuccino, latte or just a cup of 'Bill's Auto' blend drip coffee, I have never been disappointed (the blend's name being an homage to the building's original owner and its' use as an auto-repair garage). Occasionally I might order a pastry or some other delicious food item to accompany my caffeine, but the shrewd staff know that this is merely a ruse; an attempt to divert attention away from my incessant cravings for that sweet caffeinated nectar. The indoor premises are warm and inviting with couches, lamps and tables eliciting the ambiance of a rustic drawing room from days gone by. The outdoor seating area overlooks the river and enjoys picturesque views of the grand and historic Siuslaw River Bridge. Whilst this is a perfect venue to quaff coffee, it is also a pleasant location to rendezvous with friends and converse about heady matters of great import... if that's what takes your fancy. Personally, I have no idea what they're talking about as I hunch over my coffee, snarling at those who venture too close to this man's first cup of the day. read more

Had an excellent latte here, and enjoyed it in a super-relaxing environment. Lots of seating - and your choice of table, or comfy chairs. Locals nearby were having a great time, and dad headed off to the computers. Books were available for reading. Great place to stop by when visiting the old town. read more

Salted Caramel Mocha? Yes please! This place is super cute and their specialty coffees are delicious. I also partook in the monkey bar (which is a yummy version of the magic bar for all you bakers). The location is divine with a small patio overlooking the river. They have all kinds of cute gifts and gadgets to browse through as your coffee is being crafted. I will definitely be coming back to this gem if I'm driving up the Oregon coast again. read more

Was surprised by how great the iced americano was, probably the best on our trip along the coast & there were quite a few in that lineup. Service struck me as a little pretentious & prices were a bit high. Was bummed there wasn't a better selection for breakfast (super tiny $4 microwaved breakfast burrito was not on my list of must haves for that morning), but knowing is half the battle, right? Get a coffee inside, drink it outside on the patio. The coffee here is really good, and they have a great variety of drinks from which to choose. Tasty and plentiful menu of coffee bevies. My cinnamon soy chai was delish. Hubby's mocha was extra tasty. The sweets in the deli case looked super tempting, but we were good kitties and just had drinks. Nice ambience, too...very comfy place to chill, especially on the back patio. read more

Another visit to roasters the coffee drinks are great as always. The ordering is the cluster screw up. Again went in and ordered and requested name on drinks the little blonde said "not necessary". Well again confusion at the other end again. My first mocha was carried off by another customer and when latte showed up the tall guy said that was my second drink and had to remake the mocha. Is putting a name on a drink that much more work? While I was standing there confusion presented itself on another order as well. Starbucks does this on their orders and it keeps things orderly. Cozy and warm atmosphere with excellent coffee and pastry selection (the bran muffin I had was moist and perfect for breakfast). There is outdoor seating behind the building for a great view of the river as well as comfortable seating indoors amongst the inspirational quotes and paintings that line the walls. A cute little coffee shop with a lovely little deck on which to enjoy your beverage while watching boats and birds on the Siuslaw river. Located in the charming "Old Town" area of Florence. We stopped in here several times while camping nearby and always had friendly service and promptly-made-but-with-care, tasty espresso drinks. There is a selection of local pastries, and they serve hot breakfast options as well (although I did not try these). Just off 101, and highly recommended over chain coffee, even if you are just passing through the area! read more

This is a lovely place, but I would call it a "lovely cafe that happens to have a roaster and roast some beans" more than I would call it a "Coffee Roaster." There is no passion about coffee beans here -- no tasting notes, no roast date, beans only sold pre-packaged, and my barista had to ask which beans were the lightest roast. Don't go here looking for anything special in your beans. I bought some Guatemalan beans and immediately ground a few at my truck -- smells like standard coffee. Looks like standard coffee. DO go here for sipping a cafe drink on a lovely outdoor patio, some fine-looking pastries, free wifi, and a bustling cafe environment. read more
