This is a mega-wholesale warehouse, so you'll probably never go here unless you:…read more a) own a business selling beer/alcohol/wine b) miss you delivery date or need something same day The cashiers are quick and professional. Call your order in advance to have the invoice ready. The loading dock is a different story. You have to ring a bell (impossible to find unless someone actually showed you where it is) and have to wait for someone to appear from the womb of the warehouse (which is massive). You can wait 1 minute if you are lucky or 20 if unlucky. I've witnessed both. Other then the wait, the guys working there are fast, and will help you load up heavier items in your car. Prost!

They sent a few guys over with 7 different wines (2 whites, 2 reds, and three champagnes), as well as cheese/charcuterie trays. Before each wine was served, the main guy would come up and give a short description. Then servers came around for pourings. We were free to ask for more because there was plenty to go around. Whites: Acacia Chardonnay - I'm not a chardonnay fan or white wine fan in general, so I wasn't impressed. But it was drinkable to me. The white wine fans liked it a lot. Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc - I really like this one. It was sweet and went down smooth. Reds: Sterling Vintner's Collection Merlot - Classic merlot. Little heavy, but I went back for more of this one. Beaulieu Vineyard Napa Cabernet Savignon - Typical cab. Very good. Also got a second glass of this one. Sparkling: Chandon Rose - Bleh. I did NOT like this one. Neither did my SO. This one was very polarizing amongst the crowd. Some people really liked it, but I feel most people wanted none of it. Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label - Very good champagne. Good bubbliness, good flavor. I would drink it again. Ruinart Blanc de Blanc - This stuff was liquid gold. It was the best wine all night (and at $100 wholesale, it better have been). Everyone wanted more of this. EVERYONE. It was delicious and was the only wine they ran out of. So, I recommend Glazer based purely on their knowledge and selection.

I'm there at least once a month to check out the candle selection-my go-to scent is the Amber as it smells amazing. My recent art purchases are gorgeous and allow me to support a black-woman artist through her collaboration with World Market- I really like that they have tags with the artists name and brief story. I could write endless reviews about my countless positive experiences at world market. The only issue I have is that I can spend hours in the store and also spend waaay too much money. It's not know for being cheap but the quality of most items are definitely worth the price points. They also have great sales pretty often and their loyalty program is legit. I always have rewards, which obviously causes me to shop all the more.

I started shopping at Cost Plus in the 80s, perusing every inch of this vast store discovering exotic items from all over the world. It's where I discovered Haribo gummy bears, sold only in loose bulk at the time(Look how far that company has come over the years). Originally named "Cost Plus" for its "sold at cost, plus 10%" standard. This store offers everything from wines to dinnerware, international food to furniture, greeting cards to holiday decor and so much much more. I specifically shop for my international food here. My oldest son's Father was English and so I shopped here for things he loved and eventually things I now love. I also pick up delicious Easter basket finds in the Spring and also pop in at Christmas for stocking stuffers and Christmas Crackers. Over the years, I undoubtedly have shopped or gifted items from every department. In the last years they developed a rewards program and I was pleasantly surprised at 30$ in cash coupons. Another hidden perk? They're owned now by Bed, Bath & Beyond. So guess what? Those BB&B coupons are honored here too....shhhhhhhhh that's just between you and me ;) Go in and treat yourself to an exotic discovery, you'll be happy you did.

Everything we ordered was absolutely incredible: 5 Stars - Crab Dip 5 Stars - Stuffed Artichoke 5 Stars - Artichoke Spinach Dip 5 Stars- Spaghetti & Meatballs - These meatballs are HUGE (1 lb each!) and taste just like Nonna's homemade Sicilian meatballs. Ted never orders meatballs at restaurants, but these were AMAZING. 5 Stars - Shrimp & Crab Ravioli - Next level delicious. 5 Stars - Chicken Parmesan - Perfect with angel hair pasta and homemade red sauce. 5 Stars - Lasagna - Rich, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And the cannolis... WOW. Fresh, homemade, and the BEST we've ever had. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, and on point all night. Service was top notch from start to finish. The atmosphere has a cool speakeasy vibe, and they even have a beautiful upstairs space for weddings, parties, and events. 5 We've eaten a lot of the menu here and have NEVER had a bad meal. GENDUSA'S is our GO-TO for the best Italian food around! If you love Italian food... GO. You'll thank me later.

Great Italian food but not so great pizza…read more Gendusa's is pretty solidly dependable (very) local Italian restaurant in downtown Kenner. It's right on Williams in Rivertown, so there's plenty of parking. It's a popular place, so expect to wait 15-30 minutes most nights. Inside it's a gaudy mess that takes its theming from mafia movies. Hokey and tacky but you're not there for the interior design, so it's fine. It's very family friendly but sometimes too much so in that there are often kids running around playing next to your table, doing splits on the floor, or just banging on stuff and acting up, and since there don't seem to be managers around ever, no one tells the bad kids' bad parents to act right or leave. Food wise it's typical southern Italian food. Good flavor and well cooked. Portions are decent and not out of line with the pricing. A better value than most Italian restaurants for sure. Where Gendusa's repeatedly falls flat though is with their pizza. They try. You can tell they do because they're using high quality ingredients and they don't skimp on toppings. The crust could be better but it's not bad. The sauce has a good flavor but they barely put any of it on the pizza. Even if you ask for heavy sauce the only place you can see any of it is right near the perimeter. Without enough sauce and with a not so flavorful crust, the taste of the pizza is pretty much just that of the toppings. The toppings, though, is where their pizzas really fail. As mentioned above, they do use high quality toppings and they give you lots of them. But, the toppings are never cooked right! They're either all basically raw / uncooked, or if you're lucky, the toppings at the very top will be nicely cooked on the very top surface, but nothing below that very top surface bit of oven exposure is ever done. In fact, every time I've gotten a pizza there, most every topping has been still room temperature even when the rest of the pizza is too hot to eat. Gendusa's clearly know how to cook, but they don't seem to know how to cook pizza. They know how to make a pizza. They just don't know to cook that pizza. My guess is they need to cook their pizzas at a lower temperature for a much longer time...long enough so that every single topping at every level gets fully cooked all the way through...and only then maybe move the pizza over to higher heat to give the crust and such a good finish. Check out the photos below. You can see how the sausage on the very top got nice and done as did the edges of the ham, but the pepperoni and such below is cool to the touch and entirely uncooked. If Gendusa's can fix this, they'll have some solid pizza to go with their great Italian food. I hope they troubleshoot and make improvements.
