I honestly wish I could have left zero stars for this apartment complex. I wanted to first start by saying if you are looking for a more affordable place to live for a while, DO NOT FALL FOR IT. If you do decide to live here, God bless you. Just please, DO NOT choose a vacant unit anywhere near the community pool next to the fitness center.
From the time that I moved in, to the time I moved out. I swear every single blessed night people either stayed in that pool from 12 in the afternoon until long after it closed. Most of the time blasting extremely loud music and shouting obscenely because they were all drunk from the alcohol consumption. Not even allowed to have glass in the pool area. So that just added to the extremely long list of complaints I have about this place. At first, both gates to get into the pool DID NOT automatically lock at dusk even though the pool rules clearly stated on the fence "Pool hours: dawn to dusk". People would go in there sometimes at 10:30pm to use the grill. I've already been very rudely woken up one time to people blasting reggeton music until 3am one time!!! I had to get up for work at 5:30am Monday-Friday every week! I guess these people that live there don't have jobs and don't sleep. They also have little to no respect for their neighbors and the community rules. To be more specific on who these people are, River Reach lets students from the flight school at the local airport live there at a discounted rate, okay? So, that being said, these students were constantly doing this to me Monday-Sunday, every, single, blessed week!!! Amongst other people living there but most of the time, it was them. Was it ever taken care of? Of course not. But I'll get into that later. After arguing with the office for SIX MONTHS they finally "ordered" the timers for the pool gates. So maintenance CHAINED AND PAD LOCKED both gates shut at dusk. Sometimes they would show up late or not at all. But they still did that for a while. It took another six months for the timers to come in and after they were "installed"...guess what? One worked, one didn't. People caught onto that real quick and starting going in through the back gate. Now, I moved out August 12th, I don't know if the timer for the back gate was ever "fixed" or not...I doubt it...so, my point is, STAY AWAY FROM THE POOL OR STAY AWAY FROM RIVER REACH. So my message to the office staff is, hire a FULL TIME 24/7 SECURITY GUARD to keep your disrespectful tenants in line! Not a full time Collier County Sheriff! Because the poor man wasn't even available half the time when I needed him! The man has more important things to do than to baby sit a bunch of jerks (that's putting it lightly) that can't follow rules!
I won't get into my problems with the maintenance staff too much but there was NO COMMUNICATION between the office staff and maintenance. Either stuff got fixed after waiting for TWO WEEKS or not at all. Not granted, it did someone improve towards the end of my lease term, but overall, 0 out of 10. Furthermore, the state of my apartment when I moved in was a disgrace. I left it wayyyyy better than it originally looked when I moved out. The rusty door hinges were just painted over, the water pressure in the kitchen sink and the shower was literally a trickle most of the time, until I finally had them fix the valve in the shower because I could barely bathe most of the time with hot water. I had to take cold showers most of the time. Outdated appliances, popcorn ceilings (what is this? 1980?!?) faded, outdated vinyl flooring, constantly having to spray roach killer everywhere because for all I know they were in the walls. I could go on forever so I'm just going to end it there with that rant.
Side note, nobody knows how to park their car, stop at a stop sign, or SLOW DOWN. I've nearly had my front bumper ripped off several times leaving my parking space because of people flying through the parking lot. I've already had 3 people road rage at me leaving for work at 7:00AM!!! Of course, nothing was ever done about that. So, how about installing speed bumps. Yeah?
Lastly, the office staff, now granted, most of them were very pleasant to work with. They actually cared. Now as far as upper management goes, they could NOT CARE LESS ABOUT YOU. They were very rude to me all the time, never got anything done, and snapped at me when I had to ask them to do something for me SEVERAL TIMES. I can see why most of the leasing agents left after I moved in. Because the way River Reach is managed is a disgrace.
