DO NOT BE FOOLED by the photos on the website or the apartment they show you on the tour. This apartment is the WORST place I have ever lived and the absolute WORST management company I have ever rented from. I should have known I made a mistake when the maintenance man told me what shitty, overpriced apartments these were during the first week of living here. During our conversation he told me that someone had just killed themselves in an apartment that had to be cleaned up and he also told me not to trust anyone in the apartment and that the cops frequented the community. During our time living here I found that to be true when I saw the police here more than 10 times and even once right next door to us when they came to check on our lovely neighbors who did nothing but drink all day, sit outside and scream at each other and smoke cigarettes. Upon moving in to the apartment I found multiple cockroaches, bugs and dust and dirt all over every corner and baseboard. All of the screws inside of the cheap kitchen cabinets were covered in rust. The carpet was obviously not professionally cleaned before we moved in because it still had stains on it as well as hardened nail polish. I spent hours cleaning this place before I felt comfortable moving in our belongings. It took an entire MONTH of living here before we had a working washer and dryer, and after a year the dryer only "works" if you complete the 70 minute cycle two times to dry the clothes. Since we've lived here I've seen multiple cockroaches and at one point we had fleas because management allowed the abandoned apartment next door to become infested with fleas and neglected to take care of it for months after it was abandoned. Our air conditioning broke and it took over a week (yes, in 100 degree heat) before they addressed the issue because management is so disorganized an doesn't know how to communicate with the maintenance team. They said they they would bring a portable air conditioning unit to us and conventionally "forgot" about it for two days. Nice. After three more weeks the air conditioner was finally properly repaired. This is not a non-smoking community and we were basically surrounded by multiple apartments that reeked of smoke and there were tons of children around. Nice. When you aren't smelling cigarette smoke your hallways will smell like dog pee from the people who let their dogs pee wherever they want. The garbage area is constantly overflowing with trash and it smells awful. There are always piles of abandoned furniture sitting by the trash for weeks at a time as well and it's an eye sore. If you want to use the pool be prepared to see a bunch of people who don't even live there that come and park to use the pool and then get back in their cars and drive away. DO NOT RENT FROM HERE!!!!!! Spend a little more time looking for another apartment and I guarantee you will find one that you'll feel satisfied spending money on every month. read more

This place overall is not a good place to live. overpriced and no elevator for getting to 2nd or 3rd floor while paying the monthly rent like you do have it still amazes me. I've lived here for almost 5 years now and the first 2 were great! but not after 5 YEARS!! they are setting to crack down on really little stuff. I've had the same very little table with plants outside my place since i moved in here and now I just received a notice saying it needs to be removed off my patio or else they will charge me then they will remove it. That is crazy to me but not as crazy as randomly after 5 years getting a notice on my door stating they will be doing a "yearly amenities check" then putting a note on my door today saying "you have a new pet please pay us pet fees and submit paperwork of vet and shots when I was only taking care of my friends cat for a week while he was away. I see that there are many places available here and I see why who would want to live in a place that is complete overpriced that keeps going up and up every lease! plus now it feels like you are under a microscope with everything you do in our outside your apartment. we will not be resigning our lease here after July and are more than happy to be looking at other places that are ACTUALLY WORTH THE PROCE TAG!! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My apartment was great and I so would have stayed there for many years longer, EXCEPT Management is horrible. They nickel and dime the tenants. Jack up the rent every renewal and force great tenants out. Upon my move out and the 3 other neighbors they are charging us all carpet removal fees for carpet that was not damaged. They do this to everyone with pets that moves out so they don't have to give back deposits. I get the corporate company is having money issues because so many units are open, but lying to tenants is unacceptable. So if you have a dog and move out get ready to not get any money back and have to pay more. Aside from that they say they are "pet friendly" yet wouldn't help when my pets got hurt on the stairs. 2 surgeries later and nothing to move me downstairs to the first floor. The poop bag stations are always empty, full and smell of pet droppings, and no one picks up after their pets. When my apartment was leaking water into my unit from the 3rd floor apartment they did nothing, I'm sure #522 has mold all in the walls. When they put an extra cabinet in the re-done units they wanted to charge me an extra $20 a month rent for one per-fab cabinet. The traffic coming out of the complex on Old 41 is horrible at morning and evening rush hour too. Plus if you refer people or participate in their promos they never give money back. And the trash and recycle always gets backed up and overflowing on the weekends. Do yourself a favor and stay away especially with this new horrible management team in place. Worst part is you complain and tell them the issues flat out and they never try to make it right. They don't care. I will never live there again or any property owner by that management company. read more

The reviews below almost scared us away from renting here, so I'm glad I took them with a grain of salt and did my own research. We have only lived here 3 months but I'll update my review if something changes. The complex is clean, safe, and beautifully landscaped. We don't have any bugs, and I have never seen a police issue, presence or crime of any kind. The dumpster area is kept up just fine. I had a small maintenance issue and they fixed it within an hour!! Maybe I'm lucky to have good neighbors around me, but I have nothing but positive things to say. Not the cheapest place, but nothing is right now. Office is professional and responsive, pool is sparkling clean, it's Collier County so you get a free beach sticker, and we are 12 minutes from the beach! If you get a unit on the back side it faces a quiet forest preserve. Very happy we chose Somerset Palms to call home. If you're concerned about other reviews, just come check it out. read more

Great location, pet friendly, updated apartments and well kept amenities. I would highly recommend if moving to the area.

Maintenance, safety, and location all get high marks while cost, cleanliness and convenience get lower marks. Maintenance is very responsive to complaints and fixes, the apartment complex seems well lit, however, there was a shooting last year here and domestic violence problems once. The location is nice because it's close to shops restaurants and grocery stores. The noise level isn't that much of a concern and that may because I live on the top floor so nobody is walking above me. Cleanliness is an issue because the dumpsters more often than not are filthy with trash overflowing from them. The recyclables are a joke because you can't ever get anything in them. Also, and maybe I'm just stereotyping but lately I've noticed some sketchy looking characters around. read more

If you're looking for an affordable , nice, comfortable apartment, this is the place to look at! I'm so impressed with the management, they will help you thru the application process, show you around and advise you of everything you will need! They take care of any matters that may arise very professionally. They keep the common areas clean and updated! The dog park is so wonderful if you have pets! Freshly painted buildings with landscaped plants and flowers that are taken care of by the lawn maintenance team! The maintenance team is fantastic and are so readily available to help if something ever happens! Somerset palms has a company in place that comes and sprays for bugs, etc.. it's Florida and with that comes the bugs but Somerset makes sure their tenants apartments are bug free ! The pool area and gym are nice for all ages! They have a grill and patio area to relax and get together with friends or neighbors to enjoy the amenities! It's a very kid friendly neighborhood in which is safe and fun the for the kids! I live in one of their 2 bedroom apartments and work from home, there's plenty of space for my home office and bedroom with the second bedroom as a guest bedroom. The kitchen area has white cabinets and a breakfast bar area. They have big walk in closet and nice bathrooms with ample room for everything you need! Somerset Palms has a great team of management that truly cares about all their tenants! I have recommended this place to my friends and to those who ask me about this place or where to go to rent.. and will continue to recommend this fantastic apartment complex! it's truly a lovely safe place, clean, with ground crew walking around making sure it stays clean. it's reasonably priced, they do NOT raise their rent as stated by someone from a past review, you sign a contract and in the contract it will state the rent you agree upon according to the number of bedrooms you choose.. just like anywhere else.. The location is perfect, the commute to any place your looking for will nearby.. It's so close to beaches, restaurants, grocery stores, golfing, storage facilities, close to the interstate, Mercato, Bonita Springs, Naples, and close to convenience stores, great location! This is probably the worst place I have ever lived!! Cops are always in the community in the middle of the night, neighbors are loud!!! Apartments have roaches, even though "pest control" comes by every so often. They spray one spot in the kitchen and leave. Would never recommend to anyone!!! Somerset palms has been our home since we moved from California 8 months ago, and the experience has been really good. The staff is nice and friendly, they are helpful in what has been the work orders and check up if everything was done. Stopped by for a tour today and was delightfully greeted by the office staff which I appreciated. The apartments were nice and spacious. I loved the master bedroom in the two bedroom, it could easily fit my king sized bed. The walk-in closet was a must have for me too. The amenities are nice considering their prices. I brought up the review before mine with the ladies in the office and it turns out that she was a previous employee, which explains the overly dramatic statements/wording. Which basically told me her review couldn't be trusted. I am happy I still gave this place a chance! I will be making my decision soon but wanted to let others know about this place. Somerset Palms has been our home for the past five years. My family and I enjoy the beautiful remodeled resort style pool. My kids schools that they attend are in Collier County. The schools in this area are A+. Since moving in 5 years ago all units have been remodeled with new appliances and hardwood laminate flooring.The gym was also remodeled a couple months ago. The management team at Somerset Palms has always been very helpful. Especially when we need something fixed or repaired maintenance is always there to fix the problem. It's also pet friendly. Through out the year they also have special community events. Also we are only 15 minutes to the beach and very close to restaurants. We really enjoy living at Somerset Palms. read more

Two shootings in the last month. Someone's car was struck by a stray bullet. Gang activity and police presence daily. This is a horrible place to live. It looks nice on the outside, but they are not safe at all. Also, they allow sub-leasing to companies who throw 15 workers into a two-bedroom apartment at a time. They do nothing but drink, smoke and hand out on the landings and stairways. Also, everyone pays more for their water and sewer because they are not individual readings. We pay more for 15 people in an apartment that is supposed to have six residents tops. The office is not cooperative at all with any issues. They play stupid to the goings on. The police force has told residents to report any behavior found to be suspicious to them. If you want to feel like you live in another country, in a war zone, feel free to move in. read more

Have lived here since April of 2017, it's a nice community near both north Naples and Bonita Springs. The ladies in the sales office are so pleasant and helpful, they do fun events like taco Tuesday at the sales office and have treats for dogs in the community! After living at Somerset Palms for 4 months I was presented with an opportunity to purchase locally and took it. The following is a take on the experience of living and dealing with the latest management and the conditions that existed the entire time I was there. Let's start with conditions. Loud. I mean the road traffic off old 41 is LOUD considering that it's a commercial thorough fare that starts its' day 6:30 or so and the traffic noise makes it possible to put away your alarm clock. Additionally the other residents that have to go to work at those times no fault of theirs but because of the inexpensive materials used to construct the apartments the noise of car door closing and engines starting bleeds through from the parking lots into your apartment and I was on the 3rd floor. Neighbors on their patios enjoying themselves also include you in their fun whether you want to or not. And on a regular basis if you haven't got high smoking pot you can regularly count on a contact high when going up the stairs to your apartment from the residents smoking on their patios. The garbage and recycle areas are absolutely DISGUSTING on a regular basis which is just about every time you take it out. I'm talking about garbage bags that never quite make it into the dumpster by the tenants but not picked up or the facility made to work properly by the staff. DISGUSTING! Lighting sucks in the area so it definitely an adventure taking your trash out. As you might already know they are a pet friendly complex and I love animals but having urine and feces in your hallways and stairwells for days at a time pushes the pet friendly envelope. Additionally the size limit might be slipping and again no fault to the other residents but coming home after the sun goes down to be greeted by a snarling large dogs is not as welcoming as you might think at least not for me or those with small children. The management. HMMM. I go in to give my notice on April 4th the 1st being a friday and I'm told you have to give a 2 month notice and that means starting May 1st. OK. So, I bite on that one. So, I go ahead and pay May and move out May 31. Mind you I tell them I can move out the same day of my original notice in the event they have a tenant. No no you have to pay till we rent it out I'm told. Well I pay the month of June and July vacating the apartment at the end of May. so we're talking 2 months i pay rent with no one in the apartment; me or a new tenant. And now they're chasing me down for some B.S. charge that the manager who's new to the complex;Christina, insist upon. Kinda of makes you wonder how big of a dump is this place that they can't rent out an apartment in a 2 month time span. I sent 3 co-workers over here to possibly rent there and to my chagrin they questioned me as to why in god's green planet was I there. The place is Dump is what my co-workers said. Now, no one likes to think they made a bad choice but after my short stint at Somerset Palms turned out to be just that and the management a close second. Point is there are countless apartment locations nearby that provide a much nicer ambiance and management for the same monthly rent if not less why would I go here. The answer is I wouldn't and I sure wouldn't recommend it to anyone else either. The rules not only apply to the tenants but but the management in providing a respectable, clean and safe place to live which they fall far short of providing. read more

PLEASE BEWARE! I Lived there for over two years and was NEVER late on my rent. I had numerous issues come up, such as them locking my cat in my bedroom, in which the cat tore my carpeting. I did tell property management, but they offered to do nothing. I had maintenance men walk into my apartment when my 13 year old DAUGHTER was sleeping. I once came home, and there were 3-men just standing in my kitchen!!! NO Notice. I would tell property management, but I did not document. I was not the type to over complain, and I guess I was stupid enough not to document. When I moved out, they charged me for certain items, I paid everything except for the carpet. Since they did not have documentation of me coming into the office and telling them, and oh YEAH staff turns over CONSTANTLY. They are now threatening me with collections, I had emailed and called the head corporate manager, with only one response and would not respond to any other email or call. There are numerous issues with the complex, one being the garbage all over, two being sewer issues and last but not least they do not respond in a timely manner. With the fact that I was not a complainer and I always paid on my rent, and they treat me this way at the end. PLEASE TRY AND FIND A DIFFERENT PLACE TO LIVE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I MADE. read more

Honest review this apartment complex is no good. For the rate that they are charging every tenant deserves better. Let me start with describing the apartments. Everything is made of the cheapest posible material, you can hear the neighboors talking walking showering, ventilation sucks water presure as well, not enough storage. Now lets start with the outside. The patio is extremly smal if you want to place chairs you have to squize everytime you want to go outiside or inside. If you come back after 8pm god help you with the parking unles you own a coverd parking which they charge $27 a month. Trash recycling and garbage area is so far you have to walk a mile to take the trash out, obviosly not a mile but when you walk with a heavy garbage bag seems like a mile lol. The staff Is ok I only had one bad expirience with one of the staff member. I signed a lease one year ago becouse just moved from Seattle WA and we didn't had time to look. We already found a new apartment. But I asked about renewing the lease and the rate and her answer was we don't know what is going to be the rate and we will let you know on December 15-20 thats like 10 days notice before the end of the lease agreement. In other words they are buling you, If you don't like the new rate they don't give you option to chose, either you pay or get stuck on the street .I won't be suprised if they don't give my security deposit back. read more

I have lives at Somerset Palms in Naples two years. First, I will not be renewing my lease in July!!!!! I have always rented houses in the past, but the house I was renting was being sold. I'm a nurse and a master's student with 20 days to go before graduation! This place has done nothing but aggravate the daylights out of me! Every year the staff rotates out to another apartment complex, hence the problem! This rotation of office staff are the most entitled, rude, nasty bunch I have ever encountered! Last year Lindsey & Joelle were professional, kind, and extremely helpful. Last month the complex decided to paint the carports which are rented monthly( & if you are lucky after paying for the use you might get to park in your spot), no one was notified. The following morning after parking in my spot at 8:30 at night the night before, I came out to white paint dripping from the roof of my car down the front, back and sides of my car! They did pay for the detailing of my car. Good luck to who ever rents here! I have a couple with a small child above me that literally runs from one end of the apartment to the other until approx. 1:00 am! For $1375 you don't have to live in the getto. read more

The first year we lived here the community was great as described in all the other reviews here dated pre 2019. Then they changed the rules on qualifying to live here. When we moved in we had to make a certain income & pass a background check. Once the rules changes, the cleanliness of the community went down hill quickly, we began to have pest control issues, toilets that backed up and flooded the apartment, maintenance jobs half done & an AC fire that took weeks to repair. Police were called to the community on a regular basis to deal with various issues from our new neighbors, the pool bathrooms were destroyed and fights broke out at the pool between grown men! We decided it was time to go. Spoke to the office staff who understood our concerns and agreed to let us go if we paid an additional months rent. After we had left we then received a demand for $3,500.00 for a termination fee. Don't rent here it has completely gone down hill. read more
