Because I'm in the construction field, my eye glasses get a fair bit of abuse. I'm cleaning them 2 -3 times a day. And after 15 months, I literally wore off the protective coating that comes with the lens. At that point, I was looking to purchase a new set of glasses because the frame I had chosen wasn't the proper fit/type for me (had no nose pieces - just a frame) I went back there expecting to purchase a new pair of frames and lenses. But to my surprise, all I had to pay for was a frame. That was more than fair. Melisa was able to get me new lens under warranty, even though I was well past the 12 months period. When the new glasses came in, I wore them for a couple of weeks and noticed that I couldn't read the credits at the movie theatre (who sits there and read credits? lol) Anyways, I went back to Bancroft Eye Care and explained my situation. They found out that the optical company didn't grind the lenses exactly to fit my new frames, which were quite a bit larger than my original glasses. So another order went back out. A week later, I picked up my new glasses and must say that all is good. So anyone reading this review. I want you to know that the staff at Bancroft Eye Care went out of their way to satisfy me and make things right. I'm one HAPPY CUSTOMER. I have also worn glasses for 48 years. The woman who adjusted my glasses when i picked them up was nice too. My doctor is good. They do eye health tests and followup from specialist. The bad: They do not have enough staff to meet the high volume of clientele. The staff is managing with no support and guidance from anyone it looks like. The women seem to do a little of everything there. It is strange when you see the person who performed your test is also booking your next appointment and taking your money..? They do the old school billing. They do not submit to 3rd party insurance. They dont answer the phone!!!
