Food - La Cascada wasn't bad, but the menu selection was limited, and we had flies buzzing around while trying to eat, which wasn't great. Staff - Genuinely friendly and helpful, no complaints there. Facilities - A lot of the amenities were closed during our stay. The gym was open but pretty mediocre, basically on par with a standard hotel gym rather than a resort. And the golf course itself is closed until further notice, which was a huge letdown given that's supposed to be a main draw here. Vibe - It was dead when we visited (mid-July), and nothing much was really planned or going on for guests. It also felt like members got a bit more priority/attention around the course and events than resort guests did. Overall - Between the outdated rooms, small pools, limited facilities, and the course being closed, I wouldn't really recommend this for young couples looking for a lively getaway. Might work better for a quiet, low-key trip if you go in with low expectations.

The service was attentive, friendly, and made the entire experience even better. If you haven't visited Tapatio before--or if it's been a while since your last visit--you owe it to yourself to give it a try. Highly recommend!

There are lots of tables. *I wouldn't pay extra for the VIP area* - just get a reserved table if you want a seat. The crowd is a little different here. Not everyone stands up by the stage, probably because there is so much seating. That leaves plenty of room for dancing if that's your thing. The bar stations are spread out around the venue, so the lines never seemed too bad. They also let you come and go with a wristband, which is convenient.
