The surrounding woods were beautiful and the hot tube was a nice touch. That's it! These cabins must be owned by individuals because there was great differences in each cabin. Ours was the 3 Bears cabin and it was a dump! The pillows and mattresses were terrible! So old and rolled to center! The appliances were so outdated and the fridge froze our food and couldn't be adjusted. No dishwasher or w/d. Minimal and cheap options for dishes, that you had to wash w threats of $50 charge. Previous guest's soap was left in the dish. Gross! Who knows what else wasn't cleaned? The faucets were dirty and old and cheap. Sofa pillows had tears and holes. The walls and floors were so thin you could hear every move anyone made which made sleeping downstairs tough. Sliding door was incredibly hard to open. Terrible WiFi and you had to have engineering degree to watch anything on TV. Should have forfeited the hot tub and used that money to make the cabin livable. Don't book the 3 Bears Cabin!!!

We had a lovely fall weekend at this little one room cabin. It is secluded, but not remote. We…read moreenjoyed our stay and would stay again, but now we know what to bring and what to expect. The cabin is cutely decorated. First, the road up to the cabin is not for a sport car, nor even a regular sedan. This time of year there was 6 inches of leaves, so it was difficult to know where the gravel road was. I am a bit frustrated when I rent a vacation rental and find things not working, or broken, etc. I believe it is up to the cleaning crew to check everything. In this cabin the doorknob leading to the screened patio was not working properly. It was loose so it would not unlatch the door. The screen was locked so you could not get into the screened patio! We worked on it until we got it to open, but it did not open every time. The light in the kitchen was out. There is not enough light anyway, so this made the kitchen very dim. The lights in the main room were so bright I felt like we were in a football stadium. A dimmer on those lights would be really great. The TV is small by most TV's today and the distance the sofa or bed is from the TV makes it difficult to see. Not there to watch much TV anyway. There could have been more towels, for the kitchen and the bath. There is no dishwasher, so you have to wash dishes. There was one dish towel and one scrubber and a tiny bottle of watered down dish soap that we used up and resorted to hand soap. The dishes were not really clean. But I understood why, with not enough soap, and having to wash up everything before leaving, people aren't as careful as normal. There was a beer stein in the freezer that had a spot of beer left in it. (this was typical of most the eating utensils. I noticed most the dishes were not really clean. But with little and poor quality soap it is understandable.) The oven is dirty and smells like old oil each time we turned it on. The first time I looked for a pan to cook with all I found was one wok-type of pan and a crock pot with not lid. After looking in every cabinet I found the cookware in the back of a corner cupboard that is the hardest to get to and you can't see it in. I moved all the cookware to the cupboard by the stove, where it is used. The cookware was awful, the "non-stick" surface was either gone or peeling off. Didn't want to use those for health reasons. There were no wine glasses, but 2 corkscrews! Ironic! There is a hot tub, but we saw algae in it so we would not get in it. But there are not enough towels to use anyway. I'm glad we brought extra blankets as the lightweight ones there would not have kept us warm. A bit better quality control of checking things would be a good start. A few good quality cookware pans would be good also. My suggestion is to take cookware, towels, blankets and wine glasses. Make sure you are in a truck or SUV and enjoy the seclusion.

The facilities is quite small but they have a lil fire pit and some games you can play outside if the weather is good. The ladies on the reception were very friendly. The only couple things I didn't like was that they cabins are too close to each other and there ia no privacy. And the other thing was the wall heater was set to a temperature and we couldn't make it warmer. They had a space heater but it was a very cold night and I was still cold inside.

The bed definitely needs new pillows, as the current ones are very lumpy. Upon arrival, the concierge was very welcoming and made a special point to explain how the hotel has a partnership with Paul Thomas Chocolates in Dahlonega. She gave us a coupon that said (and she very explicitly said) it was good for one free piece of chocolate bark *per person* in the party, so my partner and I were entitled to a total of 2 free pieces of chocolate. When we took the coupon to the chocolate shop, the young man working there refused to honor it. He said he had always been told to give one piece of chocolate only. We asked him to read the coupon again because this was not what it stated, nor was it what the concierge said. He still refused. My boyfriend told him that the partnership needed to fix their coupons if they weren't going to honor them. Anyway, the cabin was clean and cozy, and the bed was very comfortable other than the pillows. Sheets were buttery soft. Overall I was happy with our stay.
