Things went very smoothly, very organized. Ryan our guide did a phenomenal job pointing out landmarks and giving history of areas on the drive there and back. Would tell us when to get ready to snap a photo. He had a very kind energetic personality, very authentic. Instructions were thorough. I Highly recommend River Dogz and ask for Ryan, no regrets.

Preston was our guide and was great. Shared a lot of information on the river and the history. While the cave was much smaller then I thought, the trip itself was much better then I thought it would be.

I did use this company and I most likely would choose not to given the options. I was on a private canoe trip with friends at a small beach just before the emerald cave. We had been paddling for about 5 miles and stopped there to rest. We had only been there a few minutes when a female guide with a horrible attitude decided to bring in a very large group (10+) of young men to a beach already filled with our 4 canoes. Then right behind her another guide from another company with several more kayaks. None of which would have been problematic if this woman had better etiquette and a friendly nature. Instead she was rude and bossy, and made numerous contradictory statements. When initially question by one of our party she became confrontational and the young men on the tour made to come to her defense in a borderline aggressive manner. However, the most profound lack of professionalism was the lack of tie down as we sat or stood in the water and watched about 5 or 6 kayaks float away. Then the men on the tour had to go out and retrieve them. The whole thing was a very unpleasant experience. I can't say what the rest of their guides are like, but I hope this entitled and uncooperative attitude is not mirrored.

Lucky enough to have Tyler as our guide. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, patient with novice yakkers ... he knew how to direct the novices ... River Dogz is a well oiled machine down on the beach... everyone was friendly and approachable. We loved all the water and snacks too! What an amazing experience! Thanks!

We had a great time kayaking in February. We went with Michelle, who is clearly a very experienced guide. I learned more interesting facts about Hoover Dam than I did when I went to Hoover Dam. The kayaking wasn't too strenuous and she did a good job of managing our varying skill levels and timing required to get good lighting in the cave we stopped at. Even though it was February, it wasn't that cold. It was sunny and I'm always cold but I dressed in layers and it was very pleasant. She went the extra mile to get our photos to us afterwards. Highly recommend!

This was my first time kayaking ever and I couldn't imagine a better experience! Our Guide, Preston, was wonderfully upbeat and so welcoming right at the top of the morning. He really set a positive tone for the entire day. After our drive from Vegas. I was able to grab a few waterproof necessities at the shop in the marina. Highly recommend a waterproof phone case so you can capture memories without worry you might lose or ruin your phone. I was a little nervous since it was my first time, but once we were on the water my confidence grew. This tour was a total of 4 miles (2 up and 2 back), and I was able to complete without feeling over exhausted by the end. Definitely found a new love and passion of kayaking that I want to explore more! Overall beautiful views, serene moments on the water, plus a little workout! 10 out of 10 would recommend this experience

My wife and I went on this with her sister and husband. We had an absolutely amazing time on this day trip! Jessica our main guide was amazing and did a great job. She was funny, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond during the whole trip. Her and her assistant guide Kyle I believe, were great to be around all day and made the experience truly relaxing, enjoyable and something we would love to do again!

This was an amazing experience. We kayaked 2 miles which took about an hour to a cave and took some pictures. Then back. On the way we took a hike & snack break. We looked for wildlife in the way. Our guide Becca was super nice/fun/informative. It was so chill everyone felt relaxed. Our guide took pictures of us and sent them to us.

We want to shout out to River dogz , especially Ryan our guide today who was an outstanding guide!! He made the kayak tour not only informative, smooth and fun, but his instructions, stories and guidance was very much appreciated the group!! And a comedian (bonus).

Loved this experience! definitely want to shout out our tour guide Ryan! he was phenomenal. He was super knowledgeable about the history and wildlife of the area. he was always making sure everyone was ok, offering snacks and water, awesome at instructing and guiding everyone, and a lovely person to talk to! He made sure everyone was having a great time and also was our photographer for the day to make sure everyone got cool photos while having fun on the water! Definitely recommend this experience they were great to work with and very organized!

For 8/04/2022 kayak trip: We booked the Emerald Cave kayak tour directly with the company vs a second party as one of the activities for my sister's birthday. . Prior to booking & all throughout the booking process & actual tour, communication & responsiveness was exceptional. The staff I encountered throughout the process were always courteous,enthusiastic & welcoming either responding via text, phone calls or email. All various communications were timely. **We booked at least a month in advance, even then the earlier morning slots were all filled or had only 1-2spots left. We had three in our own booking group. We went with the 12:15 launch kayak tour due to the amount of spots left. **There were a total of 12 of us in the group, including the guide. **The tour itself runs about 3.5- 4 hours (12:15-5:45pm) . However it takes an hour to reach Willow Beach one way. **So factor in a total of 2 hours round trip. Also if you're being picked up from the Las Vegas strip, which we were & is included in the price if you choose the "pick up " option. **Your pick up time will be between 10:25am-10:45am (if you do the 12:15pm tour). I don't remember specifically the other hotel location options for pick up. We went with the Bellagio pick up as it was closer to the Paris Hotel. Pick up at the Bellagio was at the underground area designated for Uber cars & other tour companies. Our kayak guide, Adam texted us the morning of, to confirm our pickup location. **Personally I wouldn't recommend booking any other activities that day of the kayak tour since the time span with travel time & pick-up/drop off fills most of the day. At the earliest pick up is @ 10:25am & drop off at the latest through possibly 6:30pm. ** They state not to book any shows, reservations or activities until 6:30pm to allow for various return time. (Although we did book an escape room that same day @ 8:30pm at night that was an Uber ride off the strip. That turned out to be super fun as well, but we were exhausted afterwards) . Unless you're in your 20s or have high energy, you will be exhausted. **ACTUAL TOUR DESCRIPTION** It's a total of 4 miles on the Colorado River with stops to view the old river gauger's house remnants & learn the history. Here you will take a snack & water break which Are included.. After paddling further down you will reach the Emerald Cave which is more of a covered cove. Still very cool nonetheless. Contingent upon the time of day & day of the week it can get busy. We had to wait in a line along the rocks for our turn. We had a remarkable time! It's a great way to explore nature & get exercise! I loved it more than I anticipated because coming from the east coast, you don't get a chance to kayak among canyon walls , let alone ones so massive! It was awesome to paddle on sparkling emerald waters & witness the splendor & magnificence of navigating the Colorado River. The company fits you with high quality kayaks & PFDs. If visiting Vegas & your home base is on the strip this is an excellent & viable option to venture off the strip & Explore what the area has to offer, even if you don't rent a car (like us). *Travel light* : where aqua shoes or hiking sandals or quick drying shoes, wear a swim shirt or rash guard for sun protection or any clothes/technicals that are light & quick drying. You can wear your swim suit but remember the sun is out & fierce. Some went in their swimsuits & they were burnt. If you do wear a swimsuit put a light top on for sun protection. I advise wearing sunglasses & a hat as well. If either one has straps even better. I wore my trucker hat & it flew off. Luckily someone in our group was able to paddle to it & save it before it sank. If you want to take pics or videos, bring a waterproof case with a lanyard for your smartphone or you go pro. But if you don't, your guide will take pics of you in the cave & on the water and air drop them to everyone in the van before you head back. Bring cash (to tip) & or a card for any purchases. There's a gift shop at Willow Beach but we didn't stay very long. **they do offer military discounts, AAA, & other various discounts! Just ask!

i kayaked for the first time last year, visiting sea caves off the coast of California so I already had the basics down. We had Casey as our tour guide, who was friendly, and she was able to provide us information about interesting things we passed on the drive from Vegas. When we arrive to the marina, we had a few minutes at the marina shop while the crew set up the kayaks and all that good stuff. During the brief orientation, we were told if we ever got stuck against any of the mountains/rocks do not use the oars because they are hard plastic and we would risk breaking them. This was new info for me, because on my previous experience, (I guess the oars were different materials) we were told if we got stuck to use them to get unstuck (this advise plays a part in my review). So off we go and the scenery is just beautiful ... it's so cool to know that depending on what side of the river you're on, determines the state you're in. I'm guessing two hours in we make a stop to have some light snacks, water and fruit. Once we push off again, we're told that the next stop will be Emerald Cove but sometimes there can be a wait time of an hour or more to go in the cove depending on the amount of people that are there and if the wait is that long, then we won't go into the cove we will just go past it a little ways and see something else ... now I booked this tour because Emerald Cove is a bucket list item so I was instantly irritated because the reason I'm on this water at this moment is to see Emerald Cove and prior to now there was no mention of possibly not seeing it. We get there and the wait is expected about to be about 20-30 minutes, so we're good to go ... at this time we're told to stay in line against the mountain and in order to stay in line you have to hold on to the mountain and I must say it is very uncomfortable to hold on to rocks for that amount of time so I just kayaked around. The time inside the cave was very short-lived because as you go in you're directed where to "park" the kayak so that Casey could take a group picture and after the picture we were directed out. So if you're first into the cove you get time in there but if you are at the end of the line then you're the first out and you really don't get any time inside. I think if I didn't have a similar tour, this would've been OK for me because I wouldn't have had certain expectations. Heading back to the marina is just so peaceful, the other tours are gone for the day, sky is clear .... my kayak partner and I at one point got ourselves stuck at the side of a mountain around a bend (searching for shade) and Casey was nowhere to be found which fit the recurring joke my group had throughout the tour which was that safety didn't appear to be a priority (there were times when others on the tour were so far back on the water but the group was never halted). We were stuck there for quite a few minutes because we were already directed not to use the oars, so what exactly are we supposed to do? Eventually, we used the oars anyway, because we could not get ourselves unstuck, and when we came around the bend, Casey was down the river lol (funny not funny).

Had an absolutely fantastic time with Julia on our kayak tour to Emerald Cave on Lake Powell on March 27, 2025! The weather was stunning (if a bit cold) but the winds were gusting to 39 mph, and I am eternally grateful that Julia was flat out honest with us about the trip back battling the winds as we were able to be mentally prepared for the strength needed to get back to Willow Point Marina. Julia from RiverDogz was on time, communicative and engaging. She was full of great information and was delighted that I could geek out with her about geology (and I can vouch for her knowledge being accurate). The kayak trip itself was wonderful, relaxing on the way out, but rough on the way back ONLY because of the winds. But in between made great connections - our group was small (7 of us) and warm and chatty. Great laughs and moments the entire way. We my son isn't a traveler, and this excursion was his idea, and he was so happy about it -- his first time kayaking too. So, if he had a great time and was talking about it, it means they did REALLY good! We will use Riverdogz anytime we are back in the area!

What an unbelievable kayak adventure with our guide Jessica. Jessica was so enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and kind on our kayak tour. Our first stop at the River Gauge house, Jessica gave us a history lesson, and of course some yummy snacks and water. Throughout the day, Jessica made sure that everyone stayed hydrated along with getting to know the people in her group, she was very engaging. On the way back to the marina the wind really picked up, one kayaker in a tandem started to get motion sickness, and Jessica stayed with them the rest of the way back to ensure they made it back safe. I would highly recommend this tour and especially with Jessica! read more

What a wonderful experience kayaking on the Colorado River!! Our guide Michelle was the best!! Very knowledgeable and fun to be with... starting from pick up all the way to drop off. We arranged a pick up in Henderson bc we were not staying on the strip and the company was very accommodating and even texted when they were on the way. Michelle told the group all kinds of facts along the way and made sure to get plenty of pictures of us! Lots of sights and animals to see! We lucked out with perfect weather! The company also provides water and snacks which was greatly appreciated. read more

I cannot say enough good things about River Dogz. On a whim, we decided to go on a kayak trip while staying on the Las Vegas strip. We booked the trip through Viator and, even though the trip was booked through a different party, the communication was great. Various staff members made contact with us regarding details for the trip. They were also communicative with regards to time and pick up at our hotel. We were able to sleep in, have breakfast, and be ready for pick up. We had a great day and were back in time for a late dinner. Our guide for the day was Zack and he was very informative about the experience. He was friendly, funny, and someone we would be happy to lead us on another adventure in the future. The trip exceeded our expectations and we look forward to doing more trips with River Dogz in the future. read more

This is a difficult review to write but it has to be written. We used River Dogz this past weekend, it was a pleasant trip with some wedge around. Until the weather changed rapidly and most of our group ended up in the water. The guide tried his best however it felt like he was not prepared, he frankly did not know what he was doing. Luckily we have rafted in the past and kind of knew what were doing. After thinking the events of Saturday through, I would not recommend this company until more training is done with their guides and team members. The events were down right scary and the company team members were as lost as us. Perhaps they should really work pre trip drill / instructions and work with the customers over a potential of needed to exit a Kayak in the water in case of weather / kayak flipping, outside of that it's a fun idea. Suggestion would be to take weather more seriously and have the "base" communicate that to the guides versus leaving it to their discretion. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars cuz this company is great! We took the kayak tour to Emerald Cove and our guide was seriously awesome. Not only did she show us beginners how to get in and out of the kayaks, she showed us how to paddle and she shared some fun facts about the places we saw along the way. They provided lots of water and snacks and our guide checked in with us to see if we were ok and if we needed to take a break. The one break we took on the way to the cave was so refreshing.. we got in the water and then hiked up this little hill to get a different view of the river. Then when we got to the cave the color of the water was so amazingly gorgeous! The guide even took pics of all of us in action and sent them via air drop or email. I absolutely loved this experience. It was my first time kayaking and this was a beautiful place to start! read more

Ok so first off, I AM NO PRO AT KAYAKING. This was my first time going on an excursion like this so I was very nervous. I then met the friendly staff of River Dogz, and our amazing guide KYLEE. She immediately put me at ease with her super chill and friendly demeanor. The staff helped us get into kayaks suited to our level of experience. (So I got the most stable kayak ever...lol) The scenery was breathtaking and the information Kylee provided on the historical sites as well as some of the native plants of the area was really cool. She also took pictures for us so we wouldn't have to fuss with our phones, and risk dropping them in the river.. (which was a huge relief) Ok so...as much as I thought I was a bad ass on this tour, alas the cramp in my shoulder reminded me I was not. Lol Kylee paddled over to me and hooked me up to her kayak and TOWED ME the last leg of the tour back to the marina. She's a badass. 10,000/10 would recommend this tour! read more

If there were 10 Stars, they'd be given that rating. This paddling adventure was way better than the ads. Jessica and Tyler added so much depth with the stories of the history along the way. The kayaks were tough and sturdy. The weather could not have been better. Too add to our journey, we saw a turtle, bald eagle, and a goat/sheep who actually posed as we got the money shot. There is a store that is open later in the day, as we departed at 10:30 a.m. and then returned by around 3:30 p.m. Do not forget to look down, in the water, and use your paddle to create shade for the tons of fish below. The water is that clear. What a fantastic trip. Excellent guides; Excellent location: Excellent adventure. Something to improve on... the travelers should know that it's in a National Park and there's a fee of $25 Us to enter & park your own car. Apparently, it can be purchased online, in advance, and it's only with credit card/debit card, either way. No cash. No reception either...so, print your maps, should you need directions back home. Absolutely the best thing we've done so far, in Las Vegas (and AZ). The best time to go is during this time, as there's not a lot of visitors and it's not blistering hot. I'm going to have to tell everyone in Canada, that I know, to do this guided paddling trip. It's #1 on our list again, for next time. read more

We did the Emerald Cave kayak tour. Our tour guide Zach was amazing! He didn't rush us at all and was very knowledgeable. He made the ride to the river very fun with ton of historical information. I would definitely recommend this tour. It is something different to do while in Vegas. read more

This was an excellent day excursion from my time in Vegas (went to Vegas for my 50th birthday with bestie and her son met us the last few days of the trip AND came on this day with us). Nick was our guide and was very knowledgable. The group that day was supportive and enjoyable, which added to the trip and experience. I highly recommend making this part of you Vegas trip. We did the emerald cove kayak tour. Our tour guide Adam was amazing! He is very knowledgeable and even showed us some rare wildlife around the area. The tour began and ended on time but did not feel rushed at all. We were picked up at the hotel and Adam told us the history of the city and places on the drive. He also took the best pictures and we spent a good amount of time relaxing in the cove. I would definitely recommend trying this tour! read more

Absolutely incredible paddle boarding experience! My wife and I were the only two on paddle boards in a group of kayakers for the half day trip; but the staff was awesome in both coaching and keeping us included with the others! Overall fantastic and very beautiful experience; so much so that we're thinking of now investing in our own paddle boards and the owner was even helpful in making suggestions for boards at the end of the day! Highly recommend them if you're thinking of trying out paddle boarding!!! read more

Two friends and I did the 3 - 4 hour kayak trip to the is Emerald Cove with Preston. Preston was pleasant, helpful and very knowledgeable throughout the entire trip. He took care of everyone and made the whole group feel comfortable. The scenery was amazing and the equipment was excellent. Next time I visit Las Vegas I will probably do this trip again - - and hope that I get Preston as my guide. (I just hope the Colorado river is still flowing). read more

What an amazing tour! Just went this past weekend and the experience was definitely worth it! The scenery was absolutely stunning. Kylee, our tour guide was very professional and lots of fun. FANTASTIC day on the Colorado River. Our tour guide was Ryan, he was friendly, great sense of humor, extremely knowledgeable and just an all-around super nice young man. We kayaked on Saturday, October 14, 2023, the weather was perfect, (I'm not a great swimmer), so Ryan was able to calm any apprehensions I might have on the water. No wind so the water looked like glass. After going to Emerald Cove, we stopped at a small beach where Ryan guided us on a small hike and pointed out various plants, the Mother Load rock where gold and fools gold was found and the old location where a pair of 1930's geologists lived. Very interesting indeed. The view there was absolutely beautiful. The snacks and bottle water that were provided by Ryan and the tour company was perfect and really made the tour even that much more enjoyable. My husband and I had a great time will definitely be back and will refer friends. read more

Took a chance booking from Canada and we weren't disappointed. The River Dogz team were great, even provide a shuttle from Las Vegas for the one hour drive to the launch point but we chose to drive. They quickly trained the newbies and we were off on the Colorado river. Our guide took the time to get to know us on a personal level but was also very knowledgeable about the area. He took us on a couple beach breaks and explained how the ancestors of the land used the local desert vegetation to survive and enjoy daily life. kudos to the River Dogz team. I highly recommend them for a great adventure while on Vegas. read more

If you're an active person this tour will drive you nuts. Out of a group of 10 only about 2 people were actually paddling, the instructor does not move the group along. Before the tour the instructor asked if we had reservations, even though we told him we did he was not respectful of our time nor did he get us back when he predicted. Our reservations were well after the tour was supposed to end and we had to hustle to make it. To kayak 2 miles up steam and 2 miles down steam it took the group 4 hours. It was torture. You're essentially captive at the marina waiting on the group to finish bc the tour bus is your ride out there. On the way back we wanted to get our heart rate above 60 so we moved a little faster since it was a straight shot, we were scolded like children for not "waiting" for the group. Because our group moved so slowly we missed the picture shot we came out for and made the tour that much more frustrating. This tour turned me off from group tours forever. My advice is..if you are an active person, and want to get above your resting heart rate on a kayak... book your own kayaks. Rent a car. Do it yourself, it's super easy to find and it's not even that cool read more

This was the highlight of our Vegas trip! The guides were so great!! The owner was so nice to help a family who struggled to get back into their kayak after tipping over. Both guides were professional, fun, and always thinking about our safety and needs. They put us first before themselves. I grew up in Vegas and have been on this river a ton by boat, and I've also hiked to both Gold Strike and Arizona Hot Springs. Those hikes are super rewarding but honestly brutal. This experience was completely different in the best way. Being able to get out of the river and be steps away from hot springs was amazing, and the views from the water are hands down the best. We met the team bright and early at 5:30am for launch, and everything was super smooth. They shuttled us, got us fitted for life jackets, handled waivers, and gave a quick safety rundown. Launch timing is strict because of the park service, but they made it feel easy and not stressful at all. Definitely be on time, though, because due to this strict timing, they will leave without you. The kayaks were such a game-changer. They were longer touring kayaks with foot-controlled rudders, dry storage, and actual back support. Super comfortable for me and somehow also worked great for my 6'2" husband (he had a larger boat). Since it was just the two of us, our guide Holmes customized the whole day to our pace. He took us to hidden spots I had never seen before, even as a local, and helped us avoid crowds. We did some hiking, rock scrambling, used ropes at Boy Scout Canyon, and explored hot springs that you can only get to from the river. It felt adventurous but still very safe, and he gave great tips the whole time. He also knew so much about the area. History of the Hoover Dam, plants, wildlife, etc. I learned a ton - even as someone who felt familiar with the area. This is exactly why I'm glad we didn't just rent kayaks. Having a guide made it feel like a next-level experience. We got to relax more while he handled the route and found the best spots. We got lucky with perfect early April weather. No wind, super glassy water, and we could see fish deep in the water. The 12 miles honestly felt way easier than expected, especially with how well Holmes guided us through the current so we could just float and chill a lot of the time. They also packed a great lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. You really just need a sun shirt, hat, sunglasses, swimsuit, water shoes, and sunscreen. They take care of the rest. Even though we leaned a little more adventurous, I could totally see this being doable for beginners, too. You don't need to be super athletic to enjoy it. Pickup and cleanup were easy and seamless. They handled everything while I grabbed a snack and relaxed, which honestly made it feel even more special. This was such a cool experience, and I would 100% do it again. Already recommending it to friends, and I would definitely consider doing the overnight version next time.

This company has special authorization to enter the Hoover Dam property and take people down to launch from the entrance of the Hoover Dam. They instructed you to move quickly as there was a time limit for getting everyone/everything Into the water and away from the area. The next day, they were prompt with their pick up and helped us load our gear back onto the trailer. I would definitely use this company again and recommend them to others.

When we pulled up we were greeted immediately, they looked up our reservation and shuttled us to the safety video. They gave us vests and proceeded through a orientation on the jet ski's that left no stone unturned. The craft were in great shape and worked flawlessly. The price was great for the time allowed, we called a couple people and most were way more for less time. Upon return they asked if we enjoyed the day and if there were any questions or problems. They unhooked the trailer, checked the ski's and returned our deposit , no BS. They invited us back and offered a discount on our return visit. We will definitely be using them again.

Carlton was our Captain & got there a little bit earlier to watch the required boat video when renting a boat. It must be watched everytime even if you've seen it before. Has important rules & info. when out on the lake. We paid $650 to rent a pontoon boat that fits no more than 10 people. Dogs are counted as 1 person per dog. The marina provides life jackets that they will fit you for to get the correct size & must be worn while in the boat. No glass is allowed. You can bring your cooler and there is a small store that sells lake essentials from sunscreen, rope, floats, drinks, alcohol, snacks, ice cream, water shoes, flip flops, towels, etc. Things are a little pricy but it's OK if you forgot something important @ home. There are bathrooms with real flushing toilets at the docks with some lockers upon entering that you would bring your own lock to lock your belongings in. Free of charge. They also have wheel chairs & wheel barrels for you to lug all your items to your boat....free. Staff has always been nice & friendly. They all seem to really enjoy their job. We always make sure to bring a big trash bag to collect our garbage while out on the boat & there are dumpsters/trashcans to drop off on your way out. Please DON'T litter. We have always been able to find nice spots to park the boat @ for the day & hang in the water around our boat. We usually go out about 45-60 minutes away from the docks. Keep track on how long it takes you to get to your chosen spot so you can plan on having enough time to get back by the required time. Gas is included in the rental price & staff fills the boats back up so you don't have to worry about taking the boat to do that prior to returning. This marina isn't far from Henderson area. I live near St Rose Seina hospital & per GPS takes about 30 minutes to get there. I've only been out once this Summer & I'm so sad that was probably it for this Summer. It's such a nice & relaxing day. Don't forget your sunscreen as it's a "hot" toasty day hanging in the lake all day. The pontoon boats do have a partial cover to sit under to get some shade. Grab your friends/family for a nice, relaxing day on the lake! Be careful, be smart when it comes to hanging out in the lake & boating. Have fun! Thank you for this privilege!!

My friend actually suggested this class to me after having received a flyer at a beer festival. I was instantly interested in torturing myself and told her to sign us up for the first class of the season. You can email or call Tiffany, the instructor, or you can book through their Facebook page's "About" section. There is a link to reserve your spot and pay. Easy peasy. We arrived about 20 minutes early at Reflection Bay and sat on the beach, admiring the gorgeous morning Mother Nature had given us for our first SUP Yoga class. It's a very pretty area overall, an oasis in this desert wasteland. Tiffany and her husband(your photographer) arrived about 15 minutes before class, introduced themselves, had us sign waivers, and gave us a quick paddle board lesson on land. Alright! Let's go be mermaids, only not actually fall in and swim or donanything IN the water. We started out with a quick loop around the area we were going to be getting our yoga on at, to get a feel for the board and how to navigate/balance on it. I did not do any standing up paddle boarding on this initial loop. I kneeled paddle boarded because I was literally shaking from fear of falling in(yeah, yeah, the fear is in my head.) After we did our loop, we got back to the area and hooked the back of our boards onto some ropes and secured our paddles to the back of the boards so no paddle had to lose its way in the world and float to the bottom(you really cannot see a damn thing in that water.) Practice started with a savasana and an intention setting, which was as expected. Tiffany has a nice, soothing voice to get you into the zen zone. After savasana, we tried quite a few poses that are relatively easy ON LAND. It's a whole different story out on the water, fellow yogi bears. The balance situation is a personal test filled with shaking and sweat. The struggle is real. I managed to keep myself on the board the entire time, mostly because I was hell bent on not going overboard. Not today, Ursula, not today. Tiffany's husband, Ben, was around taking photos the entire time. I would occasionally hear the sound of the photo being taken, but it wasn't distracting. Tiffany was incredibly encouraging, sweet, and relatable. She is a true yogi mama with a nurturing heart and a passion for what she does. I would highly recommend a class with Tiffany. It's a gorgeous setting to challenge yourself out on the water.

Emerald Cave Kayak Tour was the HI LITE of my trip to Vegas! I am a 54 year old disabled veteran with some balance issues and was hesitant at first to go on this tour. I called River Dogz on the phone and spoke to them about my concerns and they were very patient with me and understood where I was coming from. They were very polite in examining and covering my concerns so I booked the tour. Got picked up at Excalibur by Michele, originally from Oregon, and now residing in Vegas. SUPERB GUIDE that is very knowledgeable about nature itself, and of the Colorado River and the area of the tour. Being from Hawaii, I LOVE NATURE and learned so much from her. She provided great information of the areas we passed going from Vegas to Willow Beach, AZ. The kayak training was on point and everyone on the tour was feeling pumped. The River itself was peaceful and the scenery was breathtaking. I would like to add that they contacted me and mentioned if I wanted to go a day earlier since the day I was scheduled there was a possibility of high winds. THANK YOU FOR THAT. So we get to the cave entrance and as we all start to enter, I flip over in my kayak. YAHOO!. I was fine just a little embarrassed. Well at least I can say that I swam in the Colorado Rived. I am from Hawaii and I'm more comfortable in the water than on land, seriously, So, Michelle is right there talking me through what to do. So calm and collective it was very comforting. She guided me to an area to get out the water and prepare to get back into the kayak. I am so very thankful for her knowledge and assistance. I will definitely do a repeat on my next trip to Vegas.This was the HI LITE of my trip to Vegas! I am a 54 year old disabled veteran with some balance issues and was hesitant at first to go on this tour. I called River Dogz on the phone and spoke to them about my concerns and they were very patient with me and understood where I was coming from. They were very polite in examining and covering my concerns so I booked the tour. Got picked up at Excalibur by Michele, originally from Oregon, and now residing in Vegas. SUPERB GUIDE that is very knowledgeable about nature itself, and of the Colorado River and the area of the tour. Being from Hawaii, I LOVE NATURE and learned so much from her. She provided great information of the areas we passed going from Vegas to Willow Beach, AZ. The kayak training was on point and everyone on the tour was feeling pumped. The River itself was peaceful and the scenery was breathtaking. I would like to add that they contacted me and mentioned if I wanted to go a day earlier since the day I was scheduled there was a possibility of high winds. THANK YOU FOR THAT. So we get to the cave entrance and as we all start to enter, I flip over in my kayak. YAHOO!. I was fine just a little embarrassed. Well at least I can say that I swam in the Colorado Rived. I am from Hawaii and I'm more comfortable in the water than on land, seriously, So, Michelle is right there talking me through what to do. So calm and collective it was very comforting. She guided me to an area to get out the water and prepare to get back into the kayak. I am so very thankful for her knowledge and assistance. Getting back to the launch area was just as beautiful and amazing being wet. If you are thinking about doing this tour, GO FOR IT! I will definitely do a repeat on my next trip to Vegas. read more

Alright so not sure where to start here. I am 28 years old and have never kayaked in my life before. My wife booked this trip for us as we came to Vegas to celebrate and we wanted to try something different. I can't say enough what an amazing experience this was with The entire crew starting from Matt, to Dina and to Scott. When Matt called us the day before to confirm, you could tell his good energy through the phone and he made sure all questions were answered. He offered a shuttle to pick us up from an hour away but we decided to drive there. When we arrived, we were greeted and instructed by Dina and Scott. Matt, if you see this, Scott is the real deal and I want to make sure he gets the recognition he deserves. Having never kayaked before, this was truly a life changing experience. Scott made jokes along the way and checked on everyone continuously. I had no idea what to expect but Scott provided such cool historical facts that made the experience much more memorable. (Dina , sorry to leave you out lol. You are awesome too ) ! At any rate, Ivexperienced such a calm in my life that I never imagined before from Kayaking. To anyone who reads this, I cannot stress enough to go out and try it. I talked to Scott as we were flowing down the river and he said something that will stick with me forever. I was explaining how awesome kayaking is and he said "it's good for the soul" . On top of this, we connected with some really cool people from New York ( shoutout to Kayla and Sadiq ) and took some awesome pics. RIVER DOGZ IS AN AMAZING COMPANY! My husband & I took 2 of our daughters and a grandson. Our guide Kylee & the owner Matt, are very knowledgeable and kind. They new we had not kayaked and biked on the River before and they explained the safety & and gave detailed instructions on how the equipment worked. They were also very knowledgeable about the River and surroundings. One of Our daughters had paddle boarded before so she decided to try the bike. She loved it! We had never seen a bike like that. And she made it look so fun, I even wanted to try but I have an injured hand so I didn't yesterday, but I WILL DEFINITELY BE GOING back soon! One of our daughters was nervous but wanted to try the paddle board. With Kylee & Matt's help she got right on! Once she was out for a few minutes she wanted to stand. And she did! With Matt encouraging her she finally cooled off in the river, and got right back on! Our grandson always wants to know how things work and Matt was so good with him showing him the equipment and answering questions. Kylee & Matt even got my husband on the bike! My husband is a very big & handsome guy, but with their help he was able to get on the bike and ride the river! As I was watching several different companies with different groups. I was so glad we chose River Dogz! There is no comparison! Matt, the owner and Kylee our guide We're amazing! We booked this day on a travel website and they ended up booking us with River Dogz and I could not be happier with the result. Our tour guide Jake was easy to work with, very informative and very patient with us. The amazing thing is that it was his first solo group but you could not tell with his professionalism. We started the day on Willow beach and kayaked 2 miles down to Emerald Cove. On the way we stopped by a beach and learned more about the canyon and the previous plans to build the Hoover Dam there. We were able to swim as well as hike up to get a better view of the canyon. Snacks were provided and so were drinks. From there the trip to the cove was filled with interesting sights. From bald eagles to turtles to getting a closer look at the catwalk and cable car old survey teams would use to check the waters back when they were still deciding where to build the Hoover Dam. We booked the half day but if we could do it again we would do the full day because this was one of the best vacation activities we have done in a while. Not only was our tour guide awesome but we were lucky enough to have a nice and easy group as well. Everything about this trip was perfect and I could not thank this company enough! My best friend and I took the kayak tour last summer with River Dawgz and although it was an amazing experience and we had a fantastic time,it was a bit challenging,for myself anyway but that was my fault for being out of shape! :) I was thrilled to see the new option of the hydro bikes! I wanted to surprise my Niece for her birthday but I knew kayaking might be a little difficult. Everything about this company is top notch! Matthew returned my message promptly and gave me the peace of mind that the hydro bikes would be the perfect option for us! They were a blast! We were the envy of everyone on the river! Michelle was our guide and she was so much fun to spend the day with! She had the perfect qualities for the job! Great personality,tremendous knowledge of the area and all of the history behind it,love for nature and lots of patience! She picked us up on time from The Venetian and even dropped us off near the Linq so we could find a happy hour before heading back to our hotel. If you're thinking about doing a tour to Emerald Cave--just do it. Seriously, it was one of the highlights of our trip. We had Anthony as our guide, and he absolutely made the experience unforgettable. From the very beginning, he brought such great energy--super funny, easygoing, and incredibly knowledgeable. He kept the whole group entertained the entire time while still making sure everyone felt safe and comfortable. The tour itself was stunning. Paddling out to Emerald Cave and seeing that unreal green glow reflecting in the water was just incredible. You can tell Anthony really cares about giving people a great experience--he took his time, shared cool facts, and made sure we could fully enjoy the moment instead of rushing through it. And what really made it extra special: after the tour, he didn't just call it a day. He actually took us to a nearby park so we could see Big Horn sheep up close. That was such an unexpected bonus and honestly just showed how much he goes above and beyond for his guests. All in all, an amazing experience from start to finish. Ok, if you are reading this and wondering to yourself if you should choose River Dogz please read the rest. The owner, Matt, will exceed your expectations and leave you with an experience worthy of keeping it a memory forever....you may think I'm exaggerating but I'm not! Let me explain why. First off, my friend and I contacted him extremely last minute (12AM) with a small bit of hope that it would plan through for the next morning (same day really) as we only had a couple days in Vegas. Low and behold, Matt called first thing in the morning and did not let us down starting with an adjusted time, picking us up closer to our stay and taking his time to explain the land we covered, the way to paddle, and the food ya'll....spoke to my heart lol! Matt is just a cool guy to be around, everything was comfortable and he was beyond accommodating from lending us hats, sunscreen, shoes, think of it and he's got it. I didn't utilize River Dogz, but I experienced them on the river at Emerald Cove. My family and I kayaked down the river guideless from Hoover Dam and encountered a decent set of groups when we got to Emerald Cove- many of which paddled upstream from WIllow Beach Marina. River Dogz was in the cove with a large group for so long, the groups outside didn't even know they were still in there. Their guide had maybe eight customers in the cove and was extremely passive aggressive about sharing the space, so much so, that another guide that was there (who was a super cool British guy), commented on it and opined that "...some guides forget the River belongs to no one." Anyway, maybe it was just the one guide (last Monday of April) that was a bad experience, but that one instance was the sole negative experience we had during our 12 mile kayak and multiple excursions to the awesome hot springs along the way- and we interacted with numerous groups. read more

My husband and I were extremely impressed by River Dogz. They communicated every step of the way and with us communication is key to a well ran business. You never had to wonder what to do and they were very efficient. The owner was at the docks when we arrived and even helped manage the big crowd at Emerald Cave (not all were on his tours, just visitors of the river). My husband and I love a good adventure and River Dogz did not disappoint. Preston, our guide, did a wonderful job from the moment he picked us up at our hotel until he dropped us back off. Going above and beyond to get us back to our hotel in time for dinner since I failed to make our dinner reservations later than needed. The tour was perfect. We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants to get out of the hustle and bustle of the strip and take in all that the surrounding areas have to offer. read more

We were a party of 5, two adults, 3 kids -ages 9, 12, and 14. I have to say from the beginning of booking- communication was phenomenal! All my questions were answered before and after we arrived. Our group has never kayaked before so it was a relief that Michelle and Hailey (in training) took the time to show the group how-to steer-turn-etc. Patience was definitely something they had! We are so grateful for the snacks, pictures, information, and the experience. I had read other reviews about this company right before we booked, I'm so glad we did. It takes a fun personality and professionalism to make it wonderful- both Michelle and Hailey have our gratitude and we will definitely be back! We had an incredible experience with River Dogz Kayak Tours on the Colorado River! Our tour guide, Haley, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area and provided us with fascinating insights throughout the tour. Haley was also wonderfully helpful with our two kids, making sure they were safe, comfortable, and having fun the entire time. This was an amazing experience from start to end. Shuttle service was quick and very friendly. The driver know the history of the town so it's a very interesting ride with beautiful views. You'll learn the town's story! When you get there, instructors will go through safety instructions and you well get in the water. The whole experience was super fun and safe. Although it was my first time Kayaking, our instructor/guide Nick was amazing and always made sure we were safe. This guy knows what he is doing. There's was a hike that wasn't too long so it was perfect to stretch our legs. Water and snacks were provided to us. And decent snacks to! The overall experience was amazing. And if you have never tried a sports like kayaking and want to try it in a fun safe way, go for it! read more

From start to finish our Driver and Kayaking tour Guide Brett "The Brit" was the model professional. Punctual, funny and had amazing knowledge of the local area and its history. He looked after everyone from seasoned kayaker's to the beginners with the same patient manner and left nobody behind. What I liked about the tour is that we could either stay with the guide and listen to the tour talk or paddle a safe distance away and enjoy the peace and quiet and the amazing scenery without ever feeling rushed. A a Veteran I can always tell a fellow Vet by their leadership qualities and Brett is no exception. We had such a good time rafting the Colorado River with River Dogz! Our guide Zack was informative with great instructions, and patient with newbies :). Communication was good before trip day, and they made sure we had contact information in case we had any last-minute questions. Leaving the driving to them made it an easy trip, and they picked us up and dropped us off on schedule. We didn't even notice the heat while kayaking on the river, over 100 degrees! The Emerald Cave was very pretty, got some great pictures. Speaking of which, when did Zack have time to take 113 pictures of the group and individual kayakers?! Thanks for the photos! My boyfriend and I came out kayaking with River Dogz earlier today, Preston was our tour guide! This was so fun and beautiful! They picked us up at the hotel and drove us out to the Colorado river for a few hour kayaking trip to the emerald cave. It was so beautiful! Preston was very knowledgeable about the area from just driving out to the river and on the river it's self! He was very personal but yet professional! Gorgeous day and beautiful views as you're paddling! I actually experienced a duck jumping on my kayak while on the river! This was just an amazing experience as we can add this to our rivers we've kayaked on as we continue to do more in the future! read more

I can't say enough great things about River Dogz. Communication was great before the trip. Our guide, Michelle was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and fun to be with. We were planning to do the 4 mile from Willow to Emerald Cove and back but learned about the 12 mile kayak from Hoover Dam to Willow and loved all the stops along the way. We are a very fit group of adventurers but older: 50,61,72 and 72. I shared some past adventures and they assured me that we would be fine with the distance and we were. It was an action packed day and we loved every minute of the 8 hours on the river. Have been telling all my friends and will definitely go back. read more
