I went for a routine cleaning and after my X-rays I waited 52 minutes in the chair with no word from anyone as to what was happening. The dentist came in and looked at a single tooth and determined I needed a deep cleaning procedure on the one tooth he looked at and therefore would need to come back for my cleaning. I received an estimate for the one tooth and was escorted out. I was skeptical as I have never had any issues with my teeth, I get cleanings every 6 months and if he had seen this issue wouldn't he have checked the rest of my mouth to see if any other teeth needed this procedure? I really got the impression that the office was running very behind and just needed to relieve the pressure from the schedule. I went to another dentist a few weeks later who did a cleaning. The hygienist and the dentist both indicated there were no issues whatsoever with my teeth and in fact, I had very little plaque throughout my mouth

I was told I needed a cavity filled and scheduled the appointment in late October. I had it filled by Dr. wilson, two weeks later I was still having pain in that tooth, I texted them and they told me to come in. I was told it was just not shaped correctly, so they took some of the filling off and sent me on my way. Two weeks after that, around thanksgiving I was still having issues, so I called and they told me to come down. I went down and they did a third x ray and she told me it looked like the tooth they had filled was fractured with an infection. They gave me a referral to Northwest endodontist and a prescription for amoxicillin. I went to the endodontist who told me they weren't sure why I'd been refered to them as all I needed was a root canal and crown. I got the root canal from them since they had an opening sooner, and then got sent on my way back to epic to get the crown. They got me in about two weeks later, now having has a temporary crown in for a while with some significant pain. Realizing they hadn't given me a quote for the crown I asked and was told it was close to $500, that they were apparently not going to tell me was the oop amount until I got there I suppose. This is on top of the $400 for the originally work, $200 to see the endodontist that I didn't need to see, $350 for the root canal and $200 for the X-rays and exams. A cavity filling at epic dental has costed me 1200 to date without the $500 for the crown. Id had good experiences with them when it comes to cleanings and exams, but this last couple months trying to get cavity filled has been a nightmare, a long, painful expensive nightmare.

She and her staff are sweet and kind and funny and down-to-earth and ALSO very skilled at what they do! Their equipment beat anything I ever saw in Houston, which surprised me, since Houston is a big city and Centerton is not. I thought that I was going to have to have a root canal done, but Dr. Keenen was able to do it without the root canal. I have always been leery of the anesthetic injections, but can honestly say that out of the 4 injections that I recieved I felt slight pressure for about 2 seconds on ONE of them.. which is 99.9% better than any other time that I've had them. Dr. Keenen was also able to make my crown in-office, so I was in-and-out from beginning to end in about 2.5hrs. The staff is kind, the office and rooms are comforting, and I literally have nothing bad to say about the entire experience!
