My wife and I came to this PetSmart because we saw a deal online for some clippers that were about…read more$37. When we got to the store, the clippers were marked at $50. So naturally, we went up to the register and asked if we could get an adjustment since we saw it for one price, but it is listed in store for another. The clerk that we asked sternly told us no. This was an Internet offer that was no good. That kind of confused me, why would the store offer something online so that if you go in you cannot get it at that price? Anyway, a manager just happened to walk in to start her shift at the time that this was happening. So I politely asked the other person, are you the manager?. She replied yes so she took over. Well, it turns out that the link was either broken, old, or just some type of error. But, Sam, the manager on duty who is now helping us was wonderful and figuring out how to get us the adjustment. It turns out there is some store policy where they are not able to honor any deals that they cannot verify online, or something like this. Well, Sam, went online for us and found the clippers at the discounted price on another website. This was amazing, because we would have gone home and done this anyway. She also offered us Halloween candy while we waited. She also went into detail as to show us how to use the app to save additional money in the future and to get more rewards points. She was very upbeat and positive, even if the outcome would not have been to our satisfaction I would've still walked away satisfied knowing that Sam had tried her best. This store needs every employee to follow Sam's lead. If I were the GM, I would definitely want Sam on my sakes floor. We did purchase the clippers at the price that we wanted and now we can go home and give our dog the haircut that he's so desperately needs. Thanks, Sam!

Im not exaggerating when I say I was tired either, I was genuinely falling asleep in my dads car. I don't know the workers name but they had brown hair with slightly bleached strands in a bun. im actually struggling mentally at home and this made my day worse... Maybe think to not talk about other people especially kids. This is coming from a 12 year old, terrible customer service.

You will definitely find products your can't find at your local grocery store. The variety of canned Fancy Feast, kitty treats and other cat foods is without parallel. Cat supplies, cat toys, litter choices, grooming tools, and pets beds/climbing/scratching posts are plentiful. I also purchase my kitties' flea meds here! Feline heaven! I also love feeding the wild birds and they stock lots of seed and feeders for your fine feathered friends! And if you have pet birds, you'll be happy with aisles full of finch, parakeet, canary, cockatoo and parrot (and other bird) items! The dog section is huge for you puppy parents... check it out! And the aquariums full of fish are cool as well. Don't forget the little hamsters and other little furry creatures... as far as pet stores go, this one is pretty clean. The vivacious cashier, Vegas, is always pleasant and helpful. I have their PetSmart savings card which saves me a few bucks. Lots of parking. My only "pet peeve" is that it needs to put in a cart return, have cleaner carts and a sanitizing system.

Pam Popkins Hall who is the co-founder of Cat's Cradle is extremely unprofessional, rude, and spreads total lies about people she interacts with when she's representing Cats Cradle of RVA. We have had a few interactions with Mrs. Hall... during all of which she was representing this organization. Each time we have been met with total unprofessionalism, outlandish assumptions she makes out of nowhere, and unfair judgement. This is our family's personal, fair, and factual account of our personal experience of the lack of professionalism, compassion, and/or care displayed by their volunteer Pam Hall. I highly recommend that you look elsewhere for your forever kitty friend. Update... Since leaving our honest review as is our right under federal law (Consumer review fairness act)... My husband and I both have gotten harassing messages & threats from this organization.

I took my little furbaby here for her first haircut (since she's been with us and fully adopted)…read more I made an appointment online and was assigned Ashley as Sadie's groomer. Ashley was great when we first came there to sign the papers, show the shot papers, and pretty much confirming that I was completely fine with her shaving off everything. My dog was a stray puppy that we ended up fostering and fully adopting...she was super matted to a point where my friend and I had been calling her a guy until confirmed by a vet. I knew what I was signing up for. I feel so bad because I dropped off my dog to have her haircut but only made it to the Starbuck's across the street before I received a phone call from Ashley saying that Sadie was starting to get snippy with her when it came to the face area. I came right back to pick Sadie up, where I brought back home a lion instead. I don't mean to LOL, but you would've done the same thing if you saw what I saw...and no, I will not post a picture of the poor fellow. Anyways, Ashley was very professional and informed me of what to prepare for in this situation. I just felt so bad that the outcome and can totally imagine the number of people in the parking lot seeing me bring this lion back to my car. Although the haircut/grooming was not successful, I do plan on coming back here when I'm low on my dog food supply and/or whatever dogs needs. Maybe come back after I have trained Sadie to get familiar with grooming around her face area. I loved Ashley's honesty and honest work. I just feel bad that she handle Sadie's first grooming experience. (Was able to find another groomer who was able to spend more time with my little furbaby when it came to grooming. Sadly, she is no longer a lion and actually looks like a dog now haha.)

The first issue is that I booked online with a certain groomer and on the day of they switched groomers on me. They also kept my dog for over 5 hours! Her coat was uneven. Decided to give it an other shot and made another appointment, on the day of, the groomer said my dog had matted hair that would need to be shaved for an additional $10. She has never had this issue so I brought her home and the "matted" hair was easily brushed out. It was matted, just a little knotted. Made an appointment for another day with a certain groomer and today I received a text confirming my appointment with a groomer I don't want and it was not the one I booked online with. I called and they said the groomer I booked with was no longer available on Wednesday so I told the person I would like to make an appointment for another day with the groomer I chose. She proceeded to tell me there would be an additional $10 fee because there was a note that my dog bites. In the four years she has been groomed there not once has anyone ever said that. She is a licker, not a biter with the sweetest temperament and has never seen a stranger she doesn't Iove. I told them to cancel and I would find a new groomer elsewhere. This location loves to switch groomers on you and also add additional fees. Shame on them!

The staff is really friendly here, and much more knowledgeable than the young kids that work at chain stores like PetSmart and Petco. They stock a lot of specialty products that you can't find anywhere else. I shop for my dogs and cats, and always pick up a special treat at the gourmet bakery here. They also have tons of fish and aquarium stuff if you're into that. It's not always cheaper than the big-box pet stores or grocery store, but they do have coupons and specials on their website.

This store carried puppy mill bred puppies, and has the audacity to have signs up claiming they are not from puppy mills. These dogs are the result of parents kept in inhumane conditions who are bred over and over throughout their lives until they cannot have puppies anymore, at which point they are dumped on shelters and rescues. This is such a disgusting practice, when so many animals are being euthanized because there are not enough homes to care for them. In addition to the puppy mill puppies, I saw 6+ fancy rats crowded into a tiny 10 gallon fish tank. One of the rats was pregnant and couldn't move around much, so the other rats continually stepped on her as they tried to move in this cramped environment. She was covered in sores. I let an employee know but they did not seem to care. Stores like this go against everything that animal lovers care about.
