Both Chris and his team are amazing. Very prompt, very respectful, and upfront communicators. Chris fixed a clogged garbage disposal on a weekend for me and came back and repaired a beam in my garage. Transparent about his prices, minimums for a visit, and a great communicator about the times he would be arriving and flexible with me about the appointments. Super fast to text, almost obsessive with making sure he cleaned up EVERYTHING, too. Highly recommend. read more

Chris and Mike came to my home on time and installed 3 outlets in my garage. Each one on its own individual breaker. Now I can use my power tools without tripping breakers. Thank you so much. I will be using them again in the future. read more

These guys don't know what they're doing most of the time. I rented from a property management company that used Rivco as their primary handymen/contractor, so I've had a lot of experience with them and their repairs. This company does not conduct themselves like professionals. They show up late, cancel/reschedule at the last minute, and on one occasion didn't show up and didn't respond to multiple calls until two days later. When they do arrive, it's common for them not to be ready to work even though they've been there before and know what needs to be done. I have so many stories about their shoddy repairs, but I'll just focus on one to give you an example of their incompetence. For a single leak in the bathtub that was causing damage to our wall they set 14 appointments with us. No, that's not a typo. 14 separate appointments over six months. More than half of those were for them to come in, take pictures, and inspect the damage (even though we sent them pictures by email). They sent four different guys to look at it and they didn't share pictures with each other, so each guy had to assess and take pictures of the damage all over again. Why? Why? It's just a effing leak! Two times they made repairs and said it was fixed only for us to have the same problem a few months later. After one fix they brought in loud, high powered fans to run all weekend to dry out the moisture on the wall. On another similar fix apparently no fans were needed? It was so ridiculous that we brought in another plumber to check it out. He said he could have the work done in a day from start to finish. I can't even describe the insane amount stress this company has caused my wife and I over the years. They kept calling her at work to schedule appointment after appointment, while I had to take off work early to let them in just to watch them do nothing to repair the problem. They weren't our contractor, so we couldn't just fire them get another company to work on it. The leak needed to be fixed, so we had to put up with them bumbling around. It was obvious they didn't know anything about plumbing. One guy even asked me where the leak was coming from. Uh, somewhere in the pipe? How would I know, dude. Isn't that your job? You're the supposed to be the professional. Keep in mind that this was just one repair of many. If you value your sanity and care about the condition of your property I wouldn't work with this company ever. read more

I was referred to Rivco about 9 years ago. After getting a ridiculously high quote from a big named co in Riverside to repair my AC at our family business. Chris came out and found that it was a very minor, inexpensive fix. Very professional, on time and honest! I have used Rivco ever since and have told friends and family. I will never use any other company! read more

Rivco did a great job installing our new AC units. They were very professional and timely with their initial inspection. They outlined our options and provided a very reasonable estimate for the work. Due to their very reasonable rates and professional service, we called them back on other homes we owned. Great job! Highly recommend!!! read more

Yelpers!!! this was my experience 100% I am not sure what this other 1 star review guy is all about, BUT FYI Yelpers, do your homework like me because people use this Yelp as sometimes revenge when they don't get what they want and so they need to "Bash" "temper tantrum and lie" about companies to sleep better at night.. So this guys 1 star Yelp review that I researched shows a few crazy loop holes that makes me wonder if this actually happened. Please let me explain. Look at what he loves on his profile? I hate Yelpers like this that bash good names and customers like us having to look through the red tape to find a good contractor. Follow me here... http://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=WKxAtR7W8n0z62kdh-A23A #1 First look at his profile name "Mark "Da Smart Alec" A.'s Profile" #2 Things he Love--kosher, Being Jewish, 3 love good food cheap prices, 414 love good service.......... but I had 100% opposite experience and makes me question..... ^^^^^^^ This tells me he is just a bitter cheap ass and had a guy come from all the way from the Inland Empire to fix his A/C? That's like 80+ miles away. This guy lives in LA and he could not find one good yelp reviewer with in a 25 mile radius of his home? I call BS! I also want to point out that "Another competitor" because he was booked referred Chris and nobody else. Why would a competitor "with great reviews" put his name on the line for a guy that could not do the job right? My experience twice now has been flawless. The first time was Chris moving my A/C unit at our house from the backyard to the side of the house $100. It is now out of sight AND he serviced it while moving it for free after we agreed on the price. The second time was when he re-wired and installed a switch for my fish tank pumps to turn on/off. He had to go through the wall and cut out some dry wall. When he was done re-wiring he put the wall back together and flowed it exactly back to the way it was. The only way I know he cut the drywall was because I had not painted it yet. Chris is a professional and fair priced. I am also a stickler with my money and "I DO" get bids first on the job, research/yelp the contractor before they even come over. I also make sure they are licensed, insured and bonded (like Chris) as I had some ass-clowns do some bad work for me in the past and never again will I do that. As far as I am concerned, Chris is my "GO TO" guy for any job and trust him when he suggested another contractor to come to my house to do the crown molding in my bathroom.. Chris also said he would back up this contractor and that is super cool that he puts my mind at ease if this other contractor does not do a good job which I doubt it if Chris recommended him to me just like that other contractor recommended Chris to this 1 star Yelper. So Yelpers make your own decision BUT ALSO look at the very bottom of Rivco's reviews because there is a title there that says "6 other 5 star Yelp reviews that are not currently recommended" Click on that and read them.. So lets do the math here..... 7 perfect 5 star yelp reviews to this 1 star Yelp review. This is why I think this guys experience was not true or it did not happen "Exactly as he posted it." read more

Our AC stopped working in the middle of the night and I called several AC repair companies in hopes of getting service quickly to fix it without success. Given it was mid summer every company told me it would be 2-3 days before anyone would be able to come out. However, I came across Rivco/Chris DeLoss by referral from Sean at Green Comfort and he was able to come the next day! He incredibly fixed our AC unit in less than 20 minutes and had it up and running for us without any issues since. He also cleaned up his work area and even locked our gate for us as he exited. He served us with a high level of professionalism and was very friendly. I highly recommend Chris! read more

I have had two GREAT experiences with Chris @ Rivco Contracting. I was referred to him by my property management group WSR for great service and affordability. The first experience was due to someone stealing my AC unit from my backyard! Chris was able to replace my unit for $3500 less than what ARS quoted me! He was quick, efficient and affordable! The next time we used him on our other house because our fan quit on our unit. We called him on a Sunday afternoon and he was out on Monday morning. He fixed it in about 30 minutes! Chris is very reliable and super affordable! I will recommend him to anyone I hear needs help with their AC needs. I will never use another company again! read more

This past weekend we had Rivco come out to our house for an annual A/C maintenance service. This is the third time we've had Rivco come out and once again the service was amazing. The first time was for a consultation to install a new A/C unit for our home, ours was AGES OLD! Chris (the Rivco Contractor) listened to our needs, and asked us realistic A/C usage questions for our household. Although he could have taken our money, because we wanted the high end unit, he explained the different units offered (i.e. pros and cons), gave us an honest recommendation, and then left the final decision making to us. The second time Chris came out was to install our brand new A/C unit! He was there on time when he said he would be, and even gave us a courtesy call an hour before to confirm our scheduled time. One of my biggest pet peeves are people that say they will commit to do a service, and are late or give a huge window like "I'll be there between 12p-4p"! Chris was very efficient and finished our install during the time frame he said he would. Before Chris left he went over how to work the new A/C unit, asked if we had any questions, and recommended a yearly maintenance for the unit. Fast forward about 2 years and we just had him over for the first time since the installation to service our A/C with an annual maintenance service. We received the same excellent service which was no surprise! We highly recommend Rivco , as they are a reliable, honest, consistent, professional, patient, the work is great, and they will never rip you off. I've already referred Rivco to my family and they were also more than pleased with their service! Thank you Rivco :) read more

If you want an inexperienced rip-off artist, use this guy! I'm a big yelper, so when I had a leak coming through my kitchen ceiling from the AC unit, I came right here. I called a couple of AC guys in the Inland Empire with great reviews. They were all booked, so one of them referred me to Chris - I forgot who (otherwise I'd give them a piece of my mind). I described the problem, and he says "Oh, your drain is clogged." He comes down, clears two drains (more money!) and charges me $180. The next day, the leak is back and even worse. I called Chris. He tells me that he can come back, but that now I need to do a mega repair which will run over $800! After I questioned him, he admitted that he never diagnosed the problem to begin with and just assumed that it was the drain. He said that it might actually be a clogged coil, but that would be a very complex job of opening up the unit and cleaning it out and that itself would cost over $450. To make a long story short, I finally got a different repairman who I've used in the past. He came down, diagnosed the problem as a clogged coil, cleared the issue and added 2 pounds of freon, all for $185. PLEASE, unless you want to be ripped off and still be left with the same problem as before, DON'T USE THIS GUY! read more

I can't recommend Rivco contracting highly enough. I have worked with them (namely Chris) for several years now, and the service, honesty, and pricing cannot be beat. Additionally, you will have all your calls returned and consistent updates on progress. Whatever you contracting needs, Rivco is amazing. read more
