Avalado toast
Erika R.

We ate here every morning this past weekend while staying at the Marriott Harbor Beach (with our rate, we had breakfast included). The service here was phenomenal, every day I was greeted with a smile. My first day there, I was in a hurry, and asked to get my breakfast to go they packed up my Greek yogurt parfait nicely, toasted bagel and fruit neatly in a bag for me to bring up to my room and eat while I did some work. Utensils and condiments all included. The next couple days we actually decided to get our breakfast to go so that we could take it to eat outside on the beach. Since they packed it so nicely each day, it traveled very well. My first day I got the avocado toast, and my boyfriend got an omelette. Second day I got the avocado toast again because it was so good. It had a perfectly poached egg on each slice of bread, generous amounts of avocado and tomato. The last day we got the breakfast buffet which was extra, but I definitely think we got our moneys worth. The spread was generous two types of sausage, bacon, lox, eggs, fruit, and yogurt. If you do decide to eat there, they have both indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend eating here, or ordering here and bringing your food to the beach.

We come and walk early on the beach when we are in town and usually end up having breakfast outside. I would like to give it 2 1/2 stars for the food, but the view from the outside seating is lovely and the servers can be good. There is one or 2 that are really on their game and come back and check on you and refill your water. However, if it is busy, they are running everywhere and it's hard to flag them down. However, at the end of the day it is still a hotel restaurant so the food is just ok. Pre-Covid, it was breakfast buffet with omelet station, cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, etc. so there were many options. So you didn't really notice it if it was just ok. Now it is a fixed menu and there are not many options. That's ok but what they have is overpriced and mediocre at best. The lobster eggs benedict ($24?) was the best dish, because the English muffin was hot, the egg was poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce had old bay seasoning , decent amount of lobster and tasty. It also came with hash browns and toast. However, the All American ($19.00 or $20) which is 2 eggs, choice of bacon or sausage, hash browns and toast was just not very good. Eggs were scrambled too hard, bacon cold and overcooked, hash browns were too oily and salty. I had to ask 2 xs for jelly. The toast was cold as was the butter they keep in the frig so the butter was not spreadable. It did come with coffee and a glass of juice. They offer 2 omelets. 1) Ham and Cheese ($19) and Crab and Boursin ($21) (boursin cheese, asparagus, roasted red bell pepper, thyme with hollandaise.) The omelets are huge and usually not very warm when you get them. The crab is way better that the ham and cheese. We haven't tried the pancakes ($16.00) or French Toast ($17.00) . Each beverage is $5.00. Whether is it coffee, tea, soda, juice - only the expresso is $6.00. I have been here probably 10 times in the last 2 years and since Covid, and the menu was shaved down, we have been trying to find other places. But the view is beautiful. So go for the view and just remember it is a hotel restaurant. Given the cost and level at this Marriott, you should expect a better caliber of food quality than what you get.

Amazing breakfast with a view. We enjoyed the continental breakfast including Greek yogurt with granola, fruit, bagel, coffee and juice. Great drinks we mimosas and tequila sunrises. Rosa is a gem! Ask for her if you can. She will make you feel right at home.

Had breakfast for the first time at Riva. Breakfast was delicious best I've had on the strip. The service was tremendous and the view was spectacular. Highly recommend. I'll be back soon.

Eggs Benedict and hashbrowns!

I was going for a morning beach walk and did a quick search for breakfast places - thankfully I was lucky enough to find Riva! I was quickly seated outside with views of the ocean. My amazing server Edwina warmly greeted me and took my order. The food came out quickly and was perfectly done - great eggs Benedict and with fantastically crisp hashbrowns. The manager even came up to check on me and I couldn't help but rave about the food and Edwina's impeccable service. Would definitely recommend!!

Delicious! We ate it ALL!

Went here for a Valentines Day brunch and I was so happy we did. Brunch was $40.00 a person, but it was well worth every penny. Unlimited mimosas and all you can eat buffet. Omelette and waffle maker too!!! An amazing dessert selection and gorgeous view of the water. They gave me a rose and two white chocolate covered strawberries when we got there, service was very good as well. Looking forward to returning soon! Loved it!

Good place to get breakfast. They have a menu and a buffet. Try the crabmeat omelette and sit outside near the ocean.

The food is mediocre. Maybe it is good for a hotel breakfast but not for any major meal. Overpriced.

Started with the ribs, which were sweet with just a little bit of spice. For my main, I had the spicy Calabrian pasta with chorizo sausage. I finished with the sticky toffee chocolate pudding for dessert, which was really good and definitely a great way to end the meal. I really enjoyed the Dine Out menu because it gives you a chance to try and sample several different items instead of just ordering one or two things. It was $45 for dinner for the entire 3 course. Everything I had was very good and the service was great. Highly recommend giving it a try!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated and has an upscale appearance and casual vibe. We enjoyed both the food and the drinks. To drink I had the guava crush and my wife had the guava margarita. Both were so good. Great flavor....... For our late lunch, I had the Tuscan grill Salmon and my wife had the Nashville, hot chicken sandwich. My dish was outstanding. The salmon was cooked perfectly and has the perfect crust on the outside. The bed of gnocchi's in the sauce was spot on and the flavor profile was perfect. This is the reason I'm only giving a 4 star review and not 5. My wife sandwich. The presentation was very nice. The flavor was very good. The downside was that it was a smaller piece of chicken thigh meat which did have a very heavy breading layer. Because the thigh meat was kinda small it was definitely overcooked and led the meat being a little dry and tough. Regardless we enjoyed the restaurant and definitely will return.

We came for lunch on the balcony -- sunny day, ocean breeze, perfect view of the beach. You cannot beat the location. The vibe is pure Ft. Lauderdale: bright, loud, and a little unhinged in the best way. The staff immediately got into character, which is the whole point. Within ten minutes we were both wearing those infamous paper hats. Mine said "retired Hooters girl" and Frank's said "the reason she drinks." Accurate? Debatable. Funny? Absolutely. Frank laughed so hard he nearly dropped his menu -- right before they roasted him for being "fat and lazy." It's all part of the shtick, and they know how to read a table so it doesn't cross a line. We ordered nachos, and let me tell you -- this thing arrived like Mount Jalapeño. Piled high, messy, cheesy, impossible to eat gracefully, and exactly what nachos should be at a place that doesn't take itself too seriously. Frank devoured them like it was his side hustle. Big shoutout to how dog-friendly they are. Our little Chevy tagged along and got just as much attention as the humans. He sat in his stroller, tongue out, acting like he owned the place. The staff loved him. In short: if you want polished elegance, go somewhere else. If you want ocean views, ridiculous jokes, good drinks, greasy food, and a place where humor is part of the meal -- this is your spot. We had a blast and we'll definitely be back.
