I was so excited to try Ritual Juicery and had heard good things from friends who tried it and liked it. I was curious how it would be in comparison to Wholesome Hippie which was there prior. When I went in I wasn't greeted. There was one employee working behind the counter and no customers were in the store. I had never been in before and wasn't sure what they offered since there was no posters or menus hanging up on the walls. That was really odd. It was just white walls and could use more decor. I didn't know what they had. I walked over to the cooler and grabbed two of the cold pressed juices which were okay. Then walked up to pay and saw they had 2 paper menus sitting on the counter but never noticed those. I ordered the avocado toast which was really good only $5 had some chili flakes on it but wasn't too spicy. Loved the avocado toast. Overall, the experience was just okay. I switched out the peanut butter for almond butter & no banana and got strawberries in instead. Super filling & yummy bowl if you're a Spirulina fan. For the Juices, so far I've tried the Ground juice- love the carrot, Apple, lemon ginger combo; ginger isn't too overpowering. Also got the quinoa bowl for later. I was going to grab a coffee at Six Shooter but when I passed by Ritual I decided today was going to be a smoothie day. Cleveland doesn't really have any good chains that offer fresh smoothies, so I'm glad that Ritual is an option. The interior is well-decorated with pops of color, and the shop itself has a calming frankincense aroma. I got the #7, which I believe is a combo of dragonfruit, rose water, and some other fruits. Personally, I find that rose water can sometimes be overpowering, and unfortunately this was the case here: the smell lingered at the back of my nose for a bit too long after I had taken a sip. I'm hoping I have another chance to try out their drinks, because the texture and sweetness of the smoothie was good, but this review is solely based on what I had that day. read more

Located in the new Pop Life yoga building in Waterloo, Ritual Juicery is a café and juicery on the first floor. When you walk in, you're pretty taken by the awesome open space with high ceilings, a vintage bank vault, colorful art and array of local goods for sale. I really enjoyed the menu at Ritual Juicery because I'm not a big coffee drinker. This menu was packed with great tea based options and super hip drinks with turmeric, blue majik, oat milk and more. I had the GOLDEN latte with mylk, turmeric, ginger, lucuma, ashwaganda and cinnamon. It wasn't super sweet and I loved tasting the pleasant sting of turmeric. You can find whatever healthy, hip ingredient you need at Ritual! When I visited, I actually didn't see any juice, so I think of them more as a coffee shop. They also have smoothie bowls, and I tried the MAGIC with banana, mango, cashew butter, blue majik, hemp milk, granola, coconut, berries and peanut butter. It was delicious for a smoothie bowl. Overall, this made for a really cool place to sit and work for a while - I loved the modern, healthy vibe and met some very nice people! read more

This little cafe is situated in an absolutely beautifully quirky whimsical open art space (PopArt?) which dovetails so well with the healthy plant based menu. They have fresh pressed juices to go and to order in addition to several mystery cold food items- none of which had labels which is not exactly up to ordinance but anyway- and a short menu of a couple plant based made to order items like a wrap, unicorn toast with blue spirulina powder, and avocado toast. I tried some sort of odd dense donut thing with chocolate shell on it- maybe it was some sort of vegan donut? It was weird and tasted like almond flour or maybe some sort of pea protein. I got an $11 "Sammy" on whole grain. It had avocado, lettuce, radish I believe, cucumber, some onion, and "carrot bacon" which was altogether stellar! Was it too expensive? Yes. But it was super filling and had a great variety of healthy flavors and textures. read more

Definitely a must-go. First the one negative -- the straws they give for the smoothies are both paper and small, and so chunks of things (dates, banana, etc.) make it *extremely* hard to drink from and the straw disintegrated so quickly I couldn't use it for the second half of my drink. Please consider using a different type of straw or if paper a wider one! : ) Now, getting to a review of the place. Even though I live downtown and thus only about 12 minutes from Waterloo, I haven't really had a reason to visit this area but I stopped by on a Sunday around noon and was able to get street parking pretty close to the front of the juicery. I ordered a #4 smoothie which is almost like a mint chocolate chip and I thought it was delicious. Next time I will think to add some protein powder to make it more filling, but it was way better than the mint chocolate protein smoothies I've tried at other stores around Cleveland. The interior was very cute, and next time I should bring a book to relax there -- it's very welcoming! The owner was extremely friendly, and in addition as we were talking about vegan food in Cleveland he was recommending some restaurants to me. How sweet -- a local business owner supporting other small business owners! I Although their menu online mentions a few other items like raw cheesecake and donuts, I didn't see any of these in the display case. I'm guessing they're made small batch or only on certain days but it may be helpful to indicate. I will definitely return and try to support. Yummy and refreshing. read more

Ritual Juicery opened earlier this month and literally stands out from the crowd. It is located on the first floor of the 'Pop Life' building in the Waterloo Arts District, which had been given a vibrant paint job about 2 years ago. The former Key Bank location is just as beautiful on the inside and is also home to a yoga studio and art gallery with free street parking as well as a lot around back. The staff was patient and friendly. All items on the menu are fresh and made to order. There is also a grab and go case with some drinks and light bites. I took a seat and admired the open space as I waited for my order of a blue magic bowl (a blend of banana, mango, cashew butter, blue magik spirulina, dates, and hemp milk) topped with the recommended add on's: banana, cacao nibs, and peanut butter. The combination was tasty, and filling. While I'm not on that side of town often, I'll be more tempted to go back so that I can stop by at Ritual and work my way through the rest of their menu. read more

Got there from out of town and the place was closed. No sign, doors locked and nothing posted on social media and hours said they were open.

To start I ordered the pitaya bowl topped with my choice of toppings I chose strawberry's, bannana and almond butter and it was amazing! It was a beautiful bright pink color! Juices that we tried tasted awesome. However, really poor customer service, hence the three stars. Ordered and paid online. Got a confirmation email shortly after and went to go pick up the juices. We had ordered two orders of the 1 day juice cleanse, but when we got to the store the order was not prepared. We were handed a holder and were told to "pick out whichever juices we want"..isn't the point of a detox to drink certain juices at certain times throughout the day? My bf tried asking a question about whether or not we needed to drink certain juices and we weren't really given any more information. We were told one order was prepared and was in the cooler, but it looked like the display due to the writing on it and when we got home we found out that there were doubles of certain juices. As we were leaving the cashier started to say that we had to pay..but I already paid? For the $100 spent I would've expected my order to be filled by the time I got there.
