What's cool about this place is that you're able to add energy or proteins or whatever else you want in your tea or shake, making it a great place to stop into right before or after your workout! Also it's right next to a planet fitness! Hello!! How much easier can it get? Lol. There's a first time customer form you fill out, barrio- style where you personalize your drink and fill your info out to stay in the loop of the promotions and news from the place. They have an $8 shake combo where you get any flavor shake, and you get a tea for free! That's a steal, given how surprisingly tasty these drinks are. I opted for a skittles flavored tea with the cranberry aloe and he ordered the special- which was a green gusher flavor with mango aloe. Both were as phenomenal as they sound and I sipped every last drop of mine (and kept sneaking sips of his cause it was so delish!!!) I figured because it has aloe in it that I'd be munching on bits and pieces of aloe, but it was all just a smooth refreshing tea. we paid $8 for a large and medium teas which isn't bad at all, especially after that first taste!! I expected the usual bright, smooth, and naturally sweet flavor of fresh orange juice. Instead, the juice I received was bitter, highly acidic, and frankly unpleasant. When I asked about it, I found out they don't use the proper machine that extracts juice from peeled oranges--instead, they simply cut up whole oranges and toss them (peel and all!) into the juicer. This might sound harmless, but there are several problems with this approach: * Orange peels are extremely bitter and not meant to be consumed in large quantities in juice form. * The peel contains essential oils like limonene, which can irritate the stomach and make the juice taste harsh. * Most citrus peels--especially on non-organic oranges--can carry wax, pesticides, and other residues, which are definitely not what I want in my juice. * The high fiber content from the peel can make the juice gritty or pulpy, especially if the juicer isn't designed to handle it. Honestly, this felt like a lazy shortcut, and it really affected the quality of the drink. If you're looking for clean, smooth, naturally sweet orange juice, be cautious when ordering here. You may want to ask how it's made before spending your money. I've had great experiences at other Pulp locations, but this one missed the mark--especially for something as basic as orange juice.
