I emailed Deluxe on the 29th requesting John Wayne and Lance Lloyd with the designs we picked out and modifications. The space was comfortable and clean, and everyone was so nice and helpful. I got an arguably silly tattoo, but they took it seriously from start to finish! I've felt awkward about asking for weird or specific tattoos before, but I felt so at home and respected here, even being from out of town! It was an easy and fun experience, and the cost was well below what I expected to pay for a quality tattoo in this day and age, especially work as nice as I got. I'm not local to the area so I can't say if I'll be back anytime soon, but will definitely be recommending this lovely shop to my friends in the region!

Extra thanks to the service staff for pulling portfolios behind the counter!! After settling on my design and sizing, I was able to get on a table by 4:30 (went next door to look at records to kill time while the artist finished with his previous client-- check them out!!) Chicago Tattooing is welcoming, clean, easy to work with, and employs only the most qualified artists. You're in great hands regardless of which artist you work with! I will ALWAYS recommend Chicago Tattooing to anyone. Whether it's your first or your fortieth, this place will take care of you.

I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, but he helped pick pieces that I absolutely love.   I'm also a hypochondriac AND a side sleeper, so naturally I managed to irritate a couple of my piercings. He went above and beyond to check that everything was healing properly and even changed one of my posts to a longer one to help with the swelling.   He's professional, knowledgeable, kind, and genuinely cares about his clients even after the piercing is done. I couldn't recommend him more. 10/10!

He got his first ever piercing done here: a side nostril(he plans to switch to a hoop). I got my septum done here by Rosemary, and it healed up nicely! It did not hurt at all when she did it! Was completely unaware the needle went in even! Painless!!! I also got my belly button pierced here in February on Valentine's Day special, with Karen. Belly button also is healing up nicely! As they use high quality jewelry, and all the piercers here clearly know what they are doing! Planning to come back again for my birthday to get a lip piercing. Also in July planning on coming to get my second ever tattoo done with Mercy!!!

From the start of our communication, he was extremely responsive and answered all my questions. It took a while for me to finally pull the trigger, but when I did, he was able to squeeze me in fairly quickly since it was a pretty small tattoo. Loved his work ethic and the quality of his work. He walked me through the whole process and made sure I loved the weight of the lines and the placement. In the middle of everything, he even recommended that I take a quick breather and drink some water since I started to get really warm during the process. (I had no idea your body temp can fluctuate as a reaction to getting a tattoo.) When my tattoo was done, I really appreciated that he talked through the care process thoroughly. Love my tattoo! It's exactly what I wanted and that means a lot to me!

For reference I have over 10 tattoos have gone to many shops now. Firstly, a tattoo on my arm, the artist (still works at the shop) did NOT prep the skin or shave the spot until I told them and now that its 2 years old its super faded and sloppy line work. Do not go here I don't even know how they have 5 stars.
