Dr. Lewicky was my 2nd opinion. When I asked if I would get a 100% recovery, the 1st doc said people "my age" should only expect 80%. Dr. Lewicky, however, said I might even recover OVER 100%, since he might be able to fix what was wrong before the accident. Plus, he was very engaged in our meetings and seemed to care about how much I wanted my active life to continue. His optimism and passion helped give me the right attitude, and by 3-4 months into rehab I was indeed better than before. As of 6 months, my shoulders are better than ever. Good doctors are skilled. I wasted the next year on drugs, 9 epidurals, and physical therapy. I got no help from any of them. They all said they could not cure but only cover up the pain. I did some research and found the Northern Arizona Orthopaedics, Just north of Sedona AZ, where I live. I found J. Michael Glover, MD. I got an appointment and had the best encounter with him and his staff that I have ever had in any hospital or clinic. Everyone I made contact with, over 30 deople, from the day I called to the present day has been very helpful. Dr Glover and I viewed my MRI and he pointed out Stenosis in my L4-L5-S1 region. After he performed the Lumbar Laminectomy surgery, the care and attention I received was the best I could ever hope for. It seemed like I only had to think about what I wanted and there it was. Dr. Glover has excellent recommendations and I am one of them. His staff and hospital personnel are the greatest. I am improving every day and look forward to getting back to tennis and golf. I really appreciated that he was able to find my x-rays that were taken elsewhere. Great to know the staff is attuned to avoiding unnecessary tests. Dr. Moezzi understood that my goal was getting scheduled for a knee replacement having had years of injections. He confirmed my need for surgery and discussed the usual postop course. I explained to him that I am a pain wimp...this is the only area that I remain concerned about. I become VERY distraught when I'm in pain and I don't really know if he truly understood how great my concern is (the reason for a four star rating). I then met Elena who explained surgery would be in April-she was very efficient with scheduling and explaining my upcoming appointments.
