I've always had issues with this location. I've used this pharmacy eight times in total. I live a quarter mile from the location, so I went due to convenience.
Pharmacy never had a wide selection, I always had to come back days later. At which point I had to wait longer because it didn't come in. The pharmacy two blocks away is smaller and carries more. So the small local pharmacy keeps better stocked then the big chain.
When I transferred from Rite Aid to Steelton Pharmacy, they magically lost my script. A script I turned in 50 minutes prior. Rite Aid said they would have it filled in an hour. Then 50 minutes later calls and says, they ordered it and the meds will arrive in three days. I called the other pharmacy, they had it now so they called Rite Aid to transfer the script over. But Rite Aid magically lost my script.
The other is the service, depending on the cashier who's on shift. They are almost always not up front, but in the back office. The last three times I picked up non-pharmacy items. I was waiting in a long line, because the cashier was having a personal conversation with ether the customer or the other person working. The other person who's just standing there not even attempting to help cut the line down. Or the cashier coming out of the management office takes her time walking to the register.
I'm not going to complain about the prices, it's expensive. They take advantage of convenience, that's just the business practice.
After my last visit Monday 25th of January 2016, and dealing with a cashier who was in the back office and had a line of five waiting and took her sweet time coming up. And when the cashier came out, I heard the management scream. I'll completely stop going to Rite Aid.
I never had a positive experience here, wish I did. I would like to share something other then negatives I've experienced.
Rite Aid did comment about contacting them, I did send an email. So I have my positive, they sent me a message :) read more
