Sad to see but this location is going out of business but not surprised. The service was never courteous and the layout was haphazard. I came here today to get sun tan lotion and had no idea that this is its last hurrah. Here's the sadder part, I really do believe that most of the other establishments at this shopping center will soon follow suit. The Capital One bank is closed as well. The Burger King and Five Guys across the street also are closed I've been coming to Long Beach for years and am slightly disturbed .at all the store closings. I never have to worry about parking. Rite Aid offers the largest (Security patrolled) parking lot in Long Beach, and it's free. This Rite Aid in Long Beach is a BIG store. You can find everything that you are looking for right here. Not just your prescriptions but more Beach supplies then you can see at the beach. If you are not familiar Long Beach is a huge beach and ocean community. Like Montauk Point, Long Beach swells with thousands of Summer residents each year. In addition thousands come each day via train and car for a relaxing Summer afternoon. Everything you need is right here you need not come with any bulky supplies. Get all of your attire, hats, chairs, foldable tables, coolers, umbrellas, blankets and of course suntan lotion and bug spray. I've seen folks come in on the train.( next door) with nothing and leave with absolutely everything needed for their Beach Ventures. You can also get all your bottled water, chilled drinks, beer, groceries, coffee, razors, Cosmetics, batteries and your prescriptions are waiting. Bonus, they're open 24/7! You're just going to have to come in to see everything they have for you here. The associates here are friendly, the pharmacists knowledgeable, and the 24-hour security is reassuring. I'm always greeted with a smile and they'll direct me right to what I need right away. I love great customer service. Because of the convenience free parking and great customer service I usually spend about 50 bucks a week here, getting milk, bottled water and extras for wifey. The medicine was extremely urgent to pick up for a family member after a heart attack. It took hours & hours & a few trips to finally get it. I'm still waiting on line as I type this! Terrible! I don't blame the people who work here. They are obviously under staffed. I'm very disappointed. These meds are a matter of life & death! read more

Bad, low end pharmacy. Always a long line to pick up medications, very short staffed. I pulled my prescriptions out of here a while ago but every once in while a doctor inadvertently sends one to rite aid. I will definitely have to make sure that doesn't happen again. 4th time back here to try to pick up my family members medication and I still don't have it. Computer / pharmacist errors. Criminals hanging out in front of the store and ridiculously long lines with one pharmacist working. I don't recommend this pharmacy. read more

This is the WORST pharmacy. The STORE is fine but the PHARMACY here sucks. There's always a problem with them not having insurance even though I've given it before, they run out of medications, only give part of the prescription but charge the full price. Get your meds elsewhere. read more

Came here to get a flu shot. Waited 30 minutes after filling out the form to get it while the pharmacist took care of 20 other customers. The pharmacists have no idea how to handle an influx of customers. Don't come here for a flu shot unless you've got nothing to do the rest of the day! read more

I was trying to buy beer obviously my license is expired due to the corona pandemic i havent been able to renew my lincese it clearly states my date of birth. The cashier refuse to sell me the alcohol. But there was a person before me which he did not ask to see his id or scan it, he just ask for his DOB which i believe should not be permitted. He said i wasnt allowed to by the beer because he has to scan my ID. Yet alone i have worked in rite aid before and been coming to this location and i have never once scanned an ID. Here's what you buy at this Rite Aide: Beer - Heinken and Stella fridge packs are almost always on sale - and I love them. Stella doesn't taste good from a can, but thats what a pint glass is for, and the cans fit perfectly in my fridge (hence, fridge pack). Its cheaper then you'd get at the supermarket or the beer doc (you're welcome) Vitamins - they have an in house GNC here and if you sign up for the rite aide store card, the savings they give you really are legit (buy one, get one half off, stuff like that) Dish Soap and Laundry Detergent - always have some redonkulous sale on this stuff. I'm not kidding, its always like 1.99 and BOGO. Candy - duh Go here right after the holiday you're looking at passes, or right before its about to pass and decorations are crazy cheap. They made my Christmas-Baked-Goods-Giving come in these adorable little tins, plates and carriers instead of ziploc bags like every other year Candles. For some reason, they have tubs of them and they're a dollar each. Seasonal, too - so theres always like apple cider or pumpkin in the fall. They best have my summer scents soon. read more

All the bad reviews about the pharmacy is true! Even the ones from a year ago and so on. Nothing has changed at all. Long wait for meds, sometimes I have to wait 7 hours just for them to get my prescription ready, sometimes they don't even have the medication and just don't call or let you know until you call. There has been times where they have been out of my medication too, and I had to go to another pharmacy because it was urgent that I got the meds. I don't understand how a pharmacy runs out of medication and why they wouldn't notify you. Also multiple times I've given them my insurance info and they "loose" it and I have to give it to them again. They Need more help behind the counter and to check inventory too, to see what meds are getting low so they can refill before they run out of meds for a customer. Oh also don't even bother calling them, sometimes they won't answer at all! read more

Very convenient location but terrible customer service. Every time I go in there, the cashiers get worse. They're so rude & not professional at all. They don't greet customers or say "have a nice day", but they will have personal conversations with their colleagues, text, and pick up phone calls while assisting you. Either they need to be trained properly or rite aid needs to hire better cashiers. read more

Hard to believe the Kings Pharmacy of East Park Avenue (who I used for over 35 years) referred all their clients to this poor excuse for a business. They received my prescriptions relative to pain relief and infection control at 2PM from NYC, and three hours after conformation, still had failed to fill the request. Instead, upon my effort to purchase same, asked me to wait 45 minutes to an hour or come back an an hour. Why didn't they just refer my Doctor's request to another location! Or inform the nurse of the delay... I did say I was in pain, 75 stitches to the skull. I'm sure they are all well meaning people, however, it's a poor way to run a business. They've lost my recurring $1,300.00 a month. You guys need a manager and communication training. In your field, EMPATHY WORKS! read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever encountered. Prescription was called in the previous day and never filled more than 24 hours later. I had to wait 45 minutes for my refill and make 5 phone calls to my doctor and insurance company before they released a routine refill (birth control). Absolutely no help, and completely disinterested in any level of customer service. Then when I got home and opened my prescription box it was short an entire months supply. Will NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN. read more

I don't go here for the pharmacy, so I can't comment on that...But otherwise, this store is great. It's clean, well stocked and any time I've been there when the line got long, another register was immediately opened. There is ample parking since the shopping center it's in is pretty barren these days. I've found the cashiers to be nothing but polite, and the entire store far better stocked with much easier parking than the competitor further west down the road. read more

Then she did the same thing..... Come to find out its a chip card..... I would have went to the ATM machine and got cash, but As I found out in the past needing change for the lottery sales Your staff needs a manager to come up front to open the cash registers to make change... the pharmacy without Aaron is sad to say the least. I encountered a problem with one of their Wellness Ambassadors (whatever that title is) last Thursday. She was so rude; i had to enlist the help of the store manager; along with the new pharmacist in charge. I had been at the doctors office for two hours, was really pretty sick. I personally delivered three scripts; asked the Ambassador how long it would take, that i was pretty sick and wanted to go home. she asked another girl, who looked like she was in "space"; and said 30-45 minutes; i then asked if they could rush; i was really sick....her reaction was "I told you 30-45 minutes" I am going to move all of my scripts to another pharmacy....what kind of behavior is this? this is our future, people...pretty sad. she didn't get it at all. when the scripts were ready; she tried to avoid me at checkout; but no way was that going to happen...i asked her what her name was and what her title was...that's when I got the Ambassador nonsense. I'm not letting this go; i've already sent a letter to their corporate office. Rite Aid needs to higher people who really are trained in customer service. the only people who visit the pharmacy dept; are those who are sick...that's what happens when you hire a bunch of "piss pots" who think they're all that. Never really had a major issue until today. Pharmacy insisted I needed some number in order for my medication to be covered. I contacted my benefits coordinator and insurance directly who both said medication was covered under my plan. I contacted this pharmacy again who continually insisted they were right. I suggested for them to call a pharmacy help desk number for help with billing as the other two parties suggested they do and they were quick to just brush me off and hang up not even willing to take down the number. Even my benefits coordinator suggested I take my business elsewhere after hearing this pharmacy's unwillingness to cooperate. Bottom line: this pharmacy is not willing to go out of their way to help you. They will insist they are right even when clearly there is something they are doing incorrectly. read more

More staff than customers. Everyone wants to assist you. I was asked if I wanted a flu shot. (WTF) I asked a staff member the price of something and he told me to go to the register. Another staff member overheard and took the item from me to check the price - nice. Sale items were all mixed up on the shelf - I asked 2 staff if a certain item was on sale and was assured it was - twice. When I got to check out the non-English speaking cashier (shouldn't the ability to speak English clearly be a job requirement?) was barely able to tell me "no sale - no sale". I left my $30 order on the counter and left. I am so tired of extreme customer service. Either people hover over you or are totally rude or are incompetent. I get that it is difficult to find minimum wage help that are capable but where is the supervision? Another customer came up to me in the parking lot and said she was not going to shop there again either. It's a shame - such a nice, clean, new store (the pre-sandy store was a filthy mess). No wonder people choose to shop online when possible. Ultimately retail businesses will become obsolete because of shopper's frustration. read more
