My prescription was called in the day before I went to the Rite Aid in King City. I waited in a long line at the "pick-up" line. The man before me was told his wasn't ready and they sent him to the "drop-off" line to find out "more information". The same thing happened to me. You have to wait in line twice when your prescription isn't ready. I called them and the wouldn't answer the phone. They looped the main menu over and over. Finally, I chose the "if you're calling from a doctor's office, press 4". They picked up right away and told me my prescription would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I will never go back to Rite Aid. read more

I got a text that one of my prescriptions was due for refill, which I have 2 and they are refilled at the same time so not sure why I only got the text about one of them but anyways I scanned the refill request for both and submitted them. I got a call and text saying my rx's (plural) were ready, so I assumed both were ready. I get there and they tell me only one is ready and one was cancelled. The one I got the text about saying it was due for refill was cancelled so I asked why and they said I requested the refill too soon. I said I literally got the text from you guys saying if I wanted to submit a refill request so why would it have been too early, plus the prescriptions are due for refill at the same time so why would only one of them have been too early and not the other? I also asked her what is considered too early because I submitted the request on Thursday and barely got notified today that it was ready and took my last pill this morning??? So I literally have to run out before I can request a refill? And she couldn't answer my question. Then while I'm waiting there I decided to check the link that I received saying my rx's were ready and it was literally for the rx that they said was cancelled. So I walked back up to the counter to show the girl and asked why it's showing here and she gave me attitude and said "ma'am I already told you it's cancelled in our system, I don't know what else to tell you". They are horrible and don't know what they are doing. Every time I have to go to this Pharmacy I say I am going to switch to Rysa and I just haven't done it but today was the last straw. I cannot express enough how much I hate this rite aid. It's dirty, hot smelly and there PHARMACY is trash. I went to the dr yesterday they told me that my pills would be ready in 45 min to an hour. I know how this pharmacy works so I just waited until the NEXT morning and I went in and the line is as long as the isle as it all the time... I waited 45 minutes for the lady to tell me, "it's not ready you would have to go to the drop off window to see how long the wait would be". This has been the usual for the past 3 years. They text or call saying the pills are ready you go and wait 30 to and hour and then they tell you it will be more of a wait... come on. It's so frustrating and stupid. Went here with my uncle to pick up prescriptions from the pharmacy. Line took a while, I'd say about 10 minutes or more? Had enough time for us both to use the bathroom swapping our spot, and some time to keep waiting. There were two ladies working the checkout area and a pharmacist. Aside from the time commitment, the service was really good. We had a question about where to find some vitamins, and the pharmacist walked out to show us, and pointed us to a bottle that was on sale! I was really pleased with that customer service. read more

Horrible Pharmacy, took 20 min just to get the pharmacist to answer the phone, then had to call back and waited another 20 min for the pharmacist to answer the phone again, then when she answered, she was extremely rude, she never heard of customer service or professionalism , would never go there again. They need to teach those pharmacists how to deal with customers while people are in pain and just got out of surgery. Have you ever lost your faith in humanity? Has someone or a nameless, formless, feckless group of someones ever capriciously broken your heart, kicked you while you were down, stolen your wallet, and then posted pictures of the whole thing online? That's happened to me, and it's awful. My most recent run-in with an uncaring fellow Earth-dwelling biped (no need to call him human) involved the surreptitious stealing of my wallet while I was seated next to a stranger on a bus. Just before he pickpocketed me, he politely asked me to pull the cord for him, and I did. He then expertly robbed me, flirted with some girls on the way out, and disappeared into the night. It wasn't until twenty minutes later that I realized my wallet was gone. When I called to cancel my debit and credit cards, he had charged at least $166 on each one, charges that I'm still fighting a month later even though I reported the cards stolen--not missing, stolen--right away and even though I filed a police report the next day. I still don't have a non-expired driver's license. And I lost dozens of stamp cards and probably a grand total of $74, give or take, of associated free food. What does this have to do with the Rite Aid on Canal Street in the nameless medium-sized shopping center in King City? Absolutely everything. Not long after having had my wallet stolen, I was driving to San Francisco from San Luis Obispo. I often stop in King City just because it's convenient and because I know where things are. The Rite Aid is large but always has plenty of cashiers, so my stops usually don't last more than six or seven minutes. Anyway, I bought some sunflower seeds and something else I don't remember and got back in my car. The drive up the 101 was pretty uneventful, and I decided to try for dinner someplace I'd never been near San Jose. I parked my car and began cleaning out all the road-trip refuse. Everything was in order, but when I reached for my replacement wallet, it wasn't there. I dug through and around the seat of my car. I looked in the little baggy of trash I had just filled up. I went through every place in my car I had been since stopping. But my wallet was gone. I knew I had used it in King City, but not since then. Luckily, I had $40 in cash in my backpack, but I was really starting to freak out about having my wallet stolen again. I called the Rite Aid in King City to ask whether anyone had turned in a black wallet. The employee who answered said he didn't think so because he had been working all afternoon and hadn't heard about anything like that. I didn't take no for an answer and demanded to speak with the manager. The manager looked in the safe, and there was my wallet. He wouldn't give me details, but I kept identifying and he kept verifying details that only I or a well practiced Svengali could know. I was completely relieved, but also annoyed. I wasn't about to drive all the way back to King City, and I just wanted to eat and go home, which I eventually did. I called Rite Aid again the next day and spoke with the heroine of this story, a manager or assistant manager named Izzy (sp?). She assured me that she would mail the wallet back to me as soon as she could. I told her she could use the cash in it to pay for the postage, but she told me that wouldn't be necessary. That Monday evening, I called the Rite Aid to talk to Izzy again. The employee I spoke with--whom I also believe was the person who turned my wallet in in the first place--said Izzy had already left work. Do you know whether she mailed the wallet yet? I asked. Yes, she was on her way to the post office from work, she said. When I got home from work on Wednesday, my wallet was waiting for me in a big envelope. Everything was there: my replacement debit card, my replacement credit cards, my expired license, the $52.07 in cash! Yes, ladies and gentlemen who actually read to the end of my reviews, the citizens of King City, California, and the employees and assistant managers and managers of its Rite Aid are so honest, so downright decent that they don't steal things that don't belong to them even when they have golden, scot-free-guaranteed opportunities to do so. Izzy is a princess. She deserves to make way more money than she does. So do all the employees here. I will always lovingly patronize this Rite Aid on my way up and down the 101, and you should too. The management of the King City Rite Aid is apparently going from bad to worse. The pharmacy never opens on time. the line for pharmacy service often has ten customers waiting, prescriptions called in are lost, and there seems to be no concern on the part of management. King City deserves better. read more

Horrible customer service. The cashier Socorro is unprofessional. She was talking to her friends and then a customer comes up and ask if she can help her then she goes all rude "no me mira ablando con La Niña, cuando termine de ablar con ella le ayudo" then the guy walked away because she was being so rude. After the guy left she was talking bad things about the guy and making fun on him. Like all he asked was for help. I understand there is a high demand for products at the moment but if you can't buy something because you walk in with a relative, friend or whatever it's does not mean you live in the same household. Shameless satisfaction of reviewing a never reviewed before Rite Aid! Awww Yeah. Stopped here to get cold beverages on the way home from San Luis Obispo. Full selection of bottled Starbucks coffee drinks for my guy...they even have the Thrifty Ice Cream in 1/2 Pints and gallons in a freezer. I used the bathroom in the back, but only because I had someone guard the door. Something about bathrooms in the back of grocery stores and drug stores- they scare me. Anyway, employees were super nice and asked more than once if we needed help finding anything, in a genuinely nice way, and they had lots of veggie starts in the front for all your spring gardening needs. The service of the pharmacy department is extremely poor. They do not open on time, there is usually a 20 minute wait in line to pick up a prescription, they do not look at the faxes from prescribing doctors on the same day. Strongly recommend any other pharmacy in the county. read more

Went in to rite aid in King City California and honestly can't recall ever being treated so poorly. The cashier was so very rude and she totally humiliated me in front of other customers in line. I'm so embarrassed by how I was treated that I WILL NEVER GO TO THE RITE AID IN KING CITY CA AGAIN. I used to really like this rite aid until recently just cause of one employee she's absolutely just RUDE I was in there earlier today and she ended up calling a customer a liar just because she was receiving money from a card and didn't know the exact amount then the employee made a huge deal and then bad mouthed the customer to other customers what kind of respect is this! King City Rite Aid has absolutely the worst service ever.  Prescriptions are never ready (even after you get a call!); employees have absolutely no customer service skills, and they don't even care to do their job correctly.  After we got our prescription at 9:15 (an hour and a half after they said it'd be ready and AFTER they CLOSED) they still forgot half the prescription.  I've made complaints before and nothing is done, so I guess Rite Aid is just happy offering substandard service! read more

Well, still horrific service. I had it when I was calling the pharmacy to talk to the pharmacist a lot of medication and the concerns I had about the side effects well I could not get through the automated system kept rotating back to press one for this press to for that press 3 to speak to someone in the pharmacy it was a half hour or so of endless rotation until I pressed one of the buttons to speak with the store to ask if the pharmacy was eating open and they said it was but there was a line. But to be quite honest when isn't there at this location. I was so frustrated that I could not get through and that they can't seem to hire more staff to have no the high traffic for this little community. So I ended up calling Greenfield Rite Aid and spoke with the most lovely pharmacist who is just filling in but she was so pleasant I wish I could remember her name but regardless I got through quickly and she help me understand the medication the side effects and whether or not we should go to the emergency room. But I have to be honest even though I had a wonderful experience with this pharmacist I have been transferring all my medications back to CVS in Soledad. It is worth the 20 to 25 minute drive to get my meds and also get my I think $5 for every 10 prescriptions filled up to I believe $50 a year. So that pays for the gas as far as I'm concerned. And the customer service is unbelievable and this is a larger community then the one I live in! So goodbye Rite Aid in King City. The only good employee you have their is Ivonne who is willing to go above and beyond to answer questions and she give you information you never knew about. So I think the only good thing that Rite Aid has done with regards to the pharmacy is to hire Ivonne and keep her working there for the last 5 plus years I believe. read more

Recently the local pharmacy closed and our prescriptions were transferred to Rite Aid. For a total of five prescriptions, I have yet to walk up to the counter and get what I came for without having to wait. I dropped off the first prescription on Tuesday, went back Friday, and was told they were filling it then, and it would be ten minutes more. Anther time I had to go back because they didn't have enough pills to fill the prescription. Not only that, but they charged me $10 more than the old pharmacy for the same pills. I'm looking into the small pharmacies in Greenfield and Soledad, and into the large pharmacy in Soldedad (not a Rite Aid). read more
