Side note: while waiting I heard a guy seriously pissed off that none of the to-go coffee lids fit any of the cups. The staff apologized but had no solution. I think he walked out and probably went to Wawa. Twenty minutes later the thighs are done. My order is bagged & I race home to dive in. The chicken wasn't bad by any stretch. I would give it a solid, meh. And maybe a little salty for our taste buds. The kicker is that after a 20 minute wait we got no thighs. Four breast but null on the thighs!! They probably would have tasted even better coming right out of the fryer. I'm not sure what I expected but I'm here to tell you Wawa is a mix of a convenience store, Starbucks, and Chipotle (sort of). Also, the coffee (see picture) was both extremely sweet and yet the coffee was too strong. Now the dessert offerings, prepackaged cakes not available on the west coast, were so good. Lastly, it was nice to have small sized offering of east coast only chip offerings. Now the ordering "hot" food and drinks warm my introverted heart, if you've never been to Wawa you order at a screen so you can go through everything and take your time. They told me someone called out and they didn't have a person to fill prescriptions. Some days their system is down for the day and in anyone in need of getting something filled is out of luck. If you call, you'll most likely be on hold for more than an hour until someone picks up. If you go there to pick up a prescription sometimes you'll stand in line for 15 minutes before someone even greets you or tells you they'll be right with you. They have one guy working the drive through line and in store line, moving at the pace of a snail. I've never seen a pharmacy so unreliable and so unprofessionally run. Like you're a pharmacy for Gods sake. Maybe reach in your pockets and dish out minimum wage to get a few more employees. It's crazy that no one running this place cares. This place is an absolute nightmare. Go to any other pharmacy. It can't be worse than Walgreens.

Of course, those of you native to Glenolden may remember this used to be the site of 7-11. You probably also know that it ran into tough competition once Wawa opened up, and the 7-11 eventually closed (don't know about you, but I will always remember Abe who owned that 7-11 fondly). It's been a few different places since then. Now, it's back to being a convenience store. Not only is it a convenience store, it has a deli counter in the back with a grill, meaning you can grab a hoagie or a cheesesteak there among other items. So let me see if I have this straight. In an area where Wawa has deep roots, and in an area where you have so much cheesesteak and hoagie competition literally just a block or two away (and not to mention that you have had two defunct pizza and hoagie shops in this site which already closed down since 7-11 left).... well, this is going to be very interesting to see if it will succeed. I'll say right off the bat that I have no idea how good their hoagies or cheesesteaks are. I have my own favorites in that regard, as I'm sure many of you do. I'm probably not going to go there for such things. I'll let you try them out and tell me how good they are. But I'll tell you what they do have that I do like that might be a well kept secret until now. They make a pretty darn good breakfast sandwich. In fact, I just had one this past Friday.
