4 weeks ago I wrote a Yelp - People at Rite Aid are great but understaffed for the volume of business. I didn't mention the other problem- because "Gus" said he was going to refund my $50 co pay on a med that should have been billed to Worker's Comp. he also said he would get the billing corrected. Today - - your refill is ready $50 co pay again, not billed to Worker's Comp.. This should not keep happening. On the good side "Sue" did get my 50 Bucks refunded. I am still waiting on the re-fill, because they have to get the Workers Comp. approval. 4 Weeks ago I wrote a Yelp. This is today. In 4 weeks I will do another "update". At some point the "Bosses" will realize this Very Busy, and I am certain, Very Profitable, Pharmacy (There aren't lots of choices for Mountain Residents) is understaffed. I don't mind a 5 minute wait in line I do Mind a 30 minute wait. I don't mind 5 minutes on hold when I call, I do mind 3 transfers and being hung up on after an hour. read more

The pharmacist Sam has no compassion for his costumers. He had told me he doesn't have time for me and he had to tend to the other costumers.. like what kind of crap is that. Rude, Rude,Rude female pharmacists. No greeting, no smile, a sharp shooting question on what it is you want, no eye contact, sharp shooting response while typing on their computer, and no response when you ask them a question...just a turned back and minimal words. The clerks there are fine, the something is wrong with the pharmacists. The pharmacist who used to work there, moved to Big Bear, Ca. and he was wonderful. Sorry he transferred. The customer is a nuisance to these pharmacists, and they do not hide their annoyance that you are there at the counter. Frankly, there are no Rite Aid executives around to see this in person, to witness their rudeness, so it will never be addressed. If I could give them a ZERO STARS I would. read more

Always too crowded and never enough check stand attendants. I try not to shop there unless I absolutely have to.

A great little affordable place if you're trying avoid the village and the high prices of Jensen's. I love the plenty points giving me up to 50% off on my favorite items and they have great seasonal items as well. I've always been treated extremely well by all of the staff and the pharmacy has always gone above and beyond for me. read more

Decent is being overly gracious. The place is a waste of time. The pharmacy take at least an hour in line and then when u get up there, your scrip isn't even ready, wait for another 30 min. They charge way too muh and their stuff is always broken. Came to print out a passport photo, can't machine doesn't read phone format, okay, how about a real passport photo? No way photo camera is broken. Shocking. read more

The worst pharmacy ever. Today is the last time I will go into the store. The staff in the pharmacy are incompetent and liars. They will tell you anything to cover their poor performance. Just today, on a prescription I have been getting there for over two years, the pharmacist himself told me my doctor did not send in the prescription, the doctor sent it in but they can't order that medication, yes they got it from the doctor but it was filled "somewhere else", no they do not know where it was filled and they couldn't help me. I called my insurance and they told me the prescription was filled almost 2 weeks ago at THE BLUE JAY PHARMACY!!!!!. Who knows where it went. I ran out of my supply of the medication 7 days ago. read more

There are some staff who always greet you upon you entering the store but I get some pretty odd ones, today it was a supervisor. He was young Caucasian male who did NOT greet me and was very short and ignored me when I talked to him. Every time I go in there, there is a problem processing either my debit card or credit card, both definitely have money on them and they tell me that the credit card chip calls for a pin. I never had that anywhere else. Talk to your staff, Management, there is something lacking in your customer service area and maybe retrain on how to use the credit card machines. Absolutely no stars for the lack of competency and customer service. First off, I'm not a complainer but feel I should warn anyone with a similar situation as mine in hopes of preventing what I went through. I turned in a prescription that was VERY time sensitive and when I went to pick it up they only had 1/2 of it ready. I needed a 40mg and a 20mg (Acutane). They only had the 40mg in stock and needed to order the 20mg. They assured me it would be there the next day and the pharmacist himself ASSURED me I could pick it up. The next day they only had the 40mg ready but said the other would be in after 5pm and they would call me. No one called because they said they had "computer problems" processing the order. They tried to process it this morning and my window for pick up was now closed. They made a phone call to my doctor saying I was in the pharmacy waiting to get my script and they needed to reopen my window for pick up. They LIED to my doctor....I was not there and had not been there. My doctor (thankfully) called me right away knowing their phone call to them was not proper procedure. Because of the nature of the medication my doctor is at the mercy of the IPledge system and I will now have to go through 30 days of waiting and blood tests just to get my prescription. Both the pharmacist, the tech that didn't call me when she said she would and the tech that lied to my doctor are all to blame for this. I urge anyone that has a time sensitive medication to not trust it with the Rite Aid in Blue Jay. It's sad that I no longer can trust them with my medication and need to go down the hill to another drugstore for peace of mind. read more

We go here to get the best of all medicines--Thrifty's Ice Cream. Wonderful place to go after dinner for a scoop (cylinder actually) of delicious ice cream at a great price. They also have a larger than normal selection of grocery type items just in case Jensen's is too expensive for you. The service had been great every time we've been and the employee are very friendly. Overall this is a great Rite Aid relative to other ones that I have been to. read more

A decent drug store. Nothing special or fancy, but all the basics are here and the staff is helpful. More items added since the remodel in Oct. never used the pharmacy, so can't comment on that. But otherwise, it's my mtn go-to quick stop! read more

They usually have pretty good prices on beer so we get it here instead of STATER BROS. Plus, they have a better selection of beauty stuff (makeup, lotion, face wash etc). They usually only have one register open so the line can take awhile even when there's only a couple people in front of you. But this is a small town, so it is what it is. The place does it's job. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They do not have enough help. They never have your prescription ready when promised and they have long slow lines to pick up. They are the only large pharmacy in the Lake Arrowhead area so they don't care about customer service. I will drive down the hill in the future. read more

I have been dealing with this place for 15 years and it continues to get worse. They never have the scrips filled when they say they will. Even after 3 days I had to wait and none of them are pain pills. Called 5 scrips in last night and they said they would be ready at 1045 this morning. went in at 730 this evening and they still aren't ready. Worst place ever. The medications are NEVER filled when you come to pick them up. The pharmacist himself is surly and unapologetic about their service. Poorly managed and understaffed. There is normally a line with anywhere from 3-12 people awaiting service. You can spend as long as 45-50 minutes waiting to pickup your prescriptions. I have 6 pickups per month, so I spend a lot of time waiting in line at Rite-Aid Blue Jay, CA. read more

Always a long line and what seems like cranky pharmacists reluctant to help. They often get prescriptions wrong/say it is there and it isn't. Being the only legit pharmacy for the entire chunk of the mountain of 30,000 people plus visitors, you think they would open a new store, hire more pharmacists, or something. read more

This pharmacy has tried to improve but just can't. 2 years I got wrong heart med thank good I knew it as I'm in the medical field. My complaint was handled but I was told it was better but I got no message my 2 meds were ready. I called and they hadn't filled one. They have trouble with faxing scripts and just don't let you know they couldn't get it renewed the doctor didn't send us an order. Many of my docs don't do escript and Rote Aid staff don't get it! It's easier but most docs do not have it yet! So who suffers you the patient. I was told today my meds were ready came by pharmacist is at lunch so I had to wait a 1/2 hour! I was livid at this point but then they argued with me which doesn't work for me. I was told by a tech that the DEA won't let me have the Voltaren gel. I said no knowing the DEA is over other drug issues and the state board of pharmacy is over pharmacist practice but I had a renewal gel so the Pharmacist has to educate me, I've had this med since 2013 it stopped by pharmacist cause they lost my doctors fax!!!! Great drugstore for locals and tourists. Checkout personnel are always efficient and friendly. Can always get help if you ask someone. Sell a wide variety of needed items which is great for people who live on the mountain without having to drive a long distance. I once accidentally got a damaged seasonal item which was part of a matching set and they were unable to reorder it so late in the season. The store manager (Terri) actually went to another Rite Aid down the mountain to get one so they would have it for me next time I came in. That's great service, so I rate this Rite Aid five stars. read more

Yes the are usually very busy, but I don't mind waiting a little longer to save money on my prescriptions! I just know that it will take me awhile, no big deal. I find if you are pleasant and smile, they do too! They have Always been helpful and pleasant to me. Saves me a trip down the hill!
