We only go here for the ice cream but other than that it seems like it's a fine store. Very quiet and employees are nice as well.

I prefer Walgreens, though Rite Aid is a bit bigger and I still like it more than CVS. Prices are about the same at all 3, really depends on the specials. This location is pretty clean, well staffed and plenty of parking. I had heard that Rite Aid has Ice Cream but never considered until my son was very excited about the ice cream counter. Just under $3 for a double scoop, animal cookie flavor for the kid and malted milk chocolate for me. I was suprised just how good both flavors were, rich, creamy, the cone sucked, but the ice cream really is not bad, will have to keep Rite Aid in mind from now on should the need for sugar hit and nothing else better is in the area. read more

The pharmacy is so slow and so inconsistent. I called them and was hung up on and put on a 45 minute hold. I ended up going in and I'm busy! They told me I have to wait 30 minutes. I went after 30 minutes through the drive thru and waited 15 more minutes only for them to tell me that I couldn't get my prescription for 2 more days. THEN WHY TELL ME 30 MINUTES? I just got off a long shift and had my baby in the car with me. All I wanted to do was go home and relax. They wasted 2 and a half hours of my time. I do not recommend this place at all. I'm moving my business to the Walgreens across the street. read more

Rite Aid Pharmacy is the worst in the high desert. Phones calls are placed on hold and never get back to the caller. Or they don't answer the phone. Prescriptions called in aren't ready by evening. Customer service is not even part of their goal. Counter girls aren't friendly and ignore the counter window. read more

The worst pharmacy every. Never help you, usually don't care. Seems like they hate their jobs. Medications are usually never in stock. Waiting over 2-3 weeks for medication.. even though I've asked if they could call around to find out. "No I can't" I can never understand why they can't just pick up the phone and say hi, I'm calling from the hwy 18 store I have so n so needing blah blah blah... do you have it in stock? This is the worst Rite-Aid I have ever been to, specifically the pharmacy. This last incident was the clincher and I will never do business with Rite-Aid again even if they were the only store with toilet paper during a pandemic. After spending 13 hours in Loma Linda with my wife for her surgery I made sure she was comfortable at home and then went to fill her prescriptions at the Walgreens at Navajo and Hwy 18, which is our usual pharmacy and quick stop location for miscellaneous items. Unfortunately the Walgreens could not fill the prescriptions because they were out of one of the prescriptions, so I went across the street to the Rite-Aid, against my better judgement. After standing at the drop-off window for probably about 5 minutes, maybe a little more. The female clerk asked if she could help me. I told her my wife just had surgery and she was going to need the prescriptions to get through the night, and I asked if they could fill them before they closed (it was about 5:30 p.m. at that time). The clerk told me she would have to check with the pharmacist to see if they had the prescriptions. As she walked away she placed the prescriptions on the counter and went to help another customer. After another 5 or so minutes, the pharmacist came over and picked-up the prescriptions, punched a few keys on the computer keyboard, then came over to me and asked when I needed the prescriptions. I explained to him, just like I had to the female clerk, that my wife just had surgery and was going to need the prescriptions to get through the night. The pharmacist told me that he couldn't guarantee that he would get to them before they closed. The pharmacy didn't close until 9:00 p.m. and it was only about 5:30 p.m. What a poor excuse for a medical professional this guy was. I told him I would have to try somewhere else and all he could say was o.k. I realize he probably has a tough job and has to listen to everyone's sob stories about how desperately they need their medications, but come on, they didn't close for 3.5 hours and he could have at least attempted to help a customer with an urgent need. There is a silver-lining to the story. After leaving the Rite-Aid I headed to the Walgreens at Apple Valley Rd and Bear Valley Rd, where the pharmacy clerk (her name was Melissa) was more than willing to help and said the prescriptions would be done in about 20 minutes. I waited for about 10 minutes and was called back to the window to pick-up and pay for the prescriptions. While I was waiting I could see the pharmacy was very busy, but the compassion and exceptional service by the Walgreens pharmacy and Melissa was truly appreciated. read more

Hwy 18 and Navajo..This Rite Aid is the worst! I have been going to the pharmacy for 6 years now. They have always been the rudest people with exceptions to the older gentleman.. there are two younger men who are very rude. On my way home right after surgery we stopped in and handed the younger Asian man My prescription for my pain meds he did not like that the doctor hand wrote my prescription out and told me he don't think he will be able to fill my order because he did not like the way it was written. I said call and check. He says what ever and walks away. I again called in this morning for my pain meds and I was told call back later we do not have time at the moment I have called every hour sense 1pm this afternoon I just got off the phone and the lady said do you really need them tonight yes I am in pain. I live 45 miles away it's getting to the point I take the chance and waist my gas and get there before they close or wait until tomorrow. Queens Pharmacy here I come they seem to be supper nice even when having lots of people there for covid. If its to much for Rite Aid to handle they need to let a more professional company handle the job. An extra 8 mile to Queens Pharmacy will not matter when always greeted with a smile and I have only been there 6 times for my mom they already call me by my name when I walk in the door. The pharmacy is horribly rude, slams down the phone every single time! I'm very fast to the point giving birthdate and name etc...(trying to make their time very quick and easy) yet they are consistently rude, arthritis medication ALWAYS out of stock as well as liquid for NEBULIZER machine my husband needs as soon as its ready. It doesn't matter who we've spoke to ALWAYS rude and can't answer or won't answer any questions whatsoever. The wait is always long. I don't know why these employees don't get fired! In my day they would all be fired and replaced with competent people who appreciate their jobs, especially these days during Covid. We now drive out of town to other rite aid stores and we get great service. Today I had no choice to once again deal with this rite aid on hwy. 18 in Apple Valley due to vehicle out of service and need to walk close by. Of course, out of stock and nothing pending. The worst Pharmacy in the world they accidentally give me somebody else's prescription made it all the way home before I realized it wasn't mine thank God I didn't take it. that could have really messed me up. they need people in there that actually know what they're doing. Like others mentioned, Id give zero stars if I could. Today, Christmas eve, I thought I'd try Rite Aid because their competition, (Walgreens) across the street which is my regular pharmacy was out of my medication that could not be filled until Dec. 24. I have the flu and was hoping I could get it done quickly, go home and not expose anyone else to my illness. I understand I was a new customer and they did not know me there, but the clerk was rude, unhelpful and basically not making sense why they would not fill my prescription. I politely thanked him for his time and drove to another Walgreens. The second Walgreens I tried did have my medication and filled it within 15 minutes...on Christmas eve! Such a night and day difference between the chain stores Walgreens and Rite Aid. As it is now, I wouldn't set foot in a Rite Aid store to buy a bottle of soda pop. read more

Rite Aid is one of my favorite places to shop! I know some of the employees who work here and they are all friendly and helpful. The store is always clean, well lit, and organized. There are excellent sales plus extra discounts with my card. The pharmacy is run efficiently and the staff is caring. The pharmacist always takes time to explain medications and genuinely cares about the well being of the patients. read more

I called to have a prescription transferred and it took them two days, than I called to check three times and they said they will call me in a few hours and they sure didn't, I had to call them. Completely appalled by the "customer service" of this location, specifically the store manager Latccia, the supervisor Kristina, and cashier Terri. Two days in a row I was treated horribly for trying to do something I was clearly told I could do by customer service associates on the phone. 3 calls to customer service later and I'm left very upset as customer service says one thing and the store associates claim another and basically say they are lying to me? They claim I need to call the store every day to ask if Mrs. Latccia has read her email and wants to follow the company's policy or not. They were very rude about how the situation was handled both times I went in the store to do my transaction. And sadly this is isn't the first time I've had issues with all these exact associates over passed deals that were advertised and policies they seem to not know or choose not to follow. They claim the store cannot price match when the company says that they in fact do. Then the cashier heard the customer service associate confirm this so she got mad and started raising her voice to the customer service associate and the supervisor stepped in and was even ruder about it. then she played nice for the customer service associate and told her she'd do my transaction and wasn't aware. But then made sure after she hung up on her to tell me that she supposedly really said that she didn't have to it if she didn't want to. And that because customer service is in Pennsylvania that they have different policies than us in California.... like what? The rudest of all was the store manager Latccia and the main reason I get anxiety even thinking about shopping at this location. Her rudeness was beyond belief when I called to inform her that I spoke with customer service and that she was wrong. She and her associates do not appreciate the customer nor respect the stores policies and rules. I'm very disappointed in the behavior of them all and will be demanding to speak with the district manager about this as they were equally as rude to customer service as they were to me. read more

I used to use this Rite Aid for seasonal items and the ice cream. Only because I had been assigned to this pharmacy. Unfortunately, I can't use this Rite Aid anymore. For over 2 years of mediocre to poor customer service, the worst service was the head pharmacist, and his staff. Because Rite Aide is the Pharmacy I have to use with my insurance, I called the Rite Aid on Bear Valley and explained my concerns with the Pharmacist at the newer (and ahh, so much better) Rite Aid. It's a little bit of a further drive for us. But it was necessary change. It had become apparent that not only were the customers treated poorly, but the store in general was never a pleasant experience. I've now been using the newer Rite Aid at Jess's Ranch for a year. The difference is everything. The service, cleanliness, the Pharmacist and staff is wonderful, not here- but at the newer Bear Valley Rite Aid. read more

Ok if was able to put 0 stars on this I would! This rite aid has by far the most unpleasant customer service I've ever experienced! A lady by the name of Jacqueline was just absolute no help to me what so ever , I was at the register asking her multiple questions that I needed help with and she was just a rude person with literally no knowledge what so ever , she kept giving me the dumbest responses , meanwhile no giving a crap that line was starting to back up! I hope some one that has some say about what goes on can read this and do something about it, until then me nor family and friends will not be shopping here, I'd suggest anyone else to go across the st to Walgreens or a different rite aid! read more
