He pointed to a sign on the wall that read "we have the right to refuse service to anyone." He said those are the rules that his boss made, regarding the lotto tickets. I don't play the lotto often but every location I used in California allows a customer to redeem a free ticket won from a scratcher, to purchase a Powerball, Mega Millions (depending on the value of the scratcher's free ticket) or on some occasions even redeem the free ticket for cash. I believe the employees at this location could have been kinder to the customer. He was patient and also wanted to purchase beer from the store. After the interaction, the older man called me up to the counter while the Cashier continued to assist the customer. I asked the man if he knew if the Mason's Den food truck would be there that evening. He didn't recognize the name. Then I guess he remembered and said oh "the place with the funnel cakes?"
