I will say that Lex was hospitable and fast, the service only took about 30 minutes. However it was disappointing on so many levels, starting with the tacky fake plants outside. The bathroom was cute and clean, but as I walked back to the appointment room there was a bunch of junk stacked by the wall, and the appointment room was brightly lit with uncomfortable paper bedding. I am used to wax spas using nice soft linens. When my wax was over she left the room and did not offer me any sort of wipe to clean up with (as is customary in my experience) and also missed quite a lot of hair in the back. When I met her at the register and told her about this she did offer to go back in and fix it, but I really didn't want to bother with going back into that gross room and undressing again. Typically at a wax spa you would be offered a hand mirror to check before they actually leave the room and have you get dressed again. I was also disturbed by the fact that there wasn't a sink or even hand sanitizer in the room. I can only hope that she was going into the bathroom between clients to wash her hands but who knows! Anyway, definitely would not return. Not for me.

The establishment really is lovely with sliding garage style doors that open for a wonderfully open, airy atmosphere. I loved that feature. It's beautifully decorated & clean. Very chill vibe with a cocktail bar & menu! (Nice touch!) I genuinely enjoyed my sparkling Rosè while my feet got pampered! I do have one *major* complaint however.... Something I had a very hard time with & was really a struggle for me was they don't have proper pedicure chairs. They're just regular chairs & a large basin for your feet that IS NOT SECURED TO THE FLOOR, so I spent the entire service with my legs tensed because I was trying so hard not to push this huge water basin full of soapy water etc onto the lap of my nail tech!! Despite my efforts to prevent the basin from pushing towards her lap, my poor nail tech had to continually reach up & push the basin back towards me because it was perpetually sliding all through the service. When I expressed my apologies for its sliding, she stated "it's fine, she's used to it." She was very sweet but this frustration really took away from me being able to relax during the pedi because my legs were so tensed & I was so worried about the basin splashing into her lap! Manifest, PLEASE get some proper pedicure chairs!!

Soooo about my service, Tasha came and got me right away. She was kind and genuine. We chatted during my service. She helped me pick a color and was very affirming. I called on Tuesday night and she got back to me the next morning via text to schedule an appointment for the following day. Her place is not hard to find, on the 2nd floor above Starbucks in Legacy Village. Parking meters not expensive- I just put a quarter in for 30 minutes. Upon arriving, Laila greeted me and was very nice. She asked if I had had threading before or if it was my first time and I explained that I have been threading for 2 years now. She had me lay down on her table and I explained that I wanted my eye brows kind of thin but since my eye brows are kind of straight I wanted a small arch towards the tail end. She worked very quick and paid attention to plucking the stray hairs. After she was done she showed me a mirror to look and if i wanted any changes she could do it as well. I am very happy about the threading and how my eyes turned out. Just for this one session it was $27. Granted it is waaaayyy more expensive than what I'm use to (I paid $7 + $3 tip in Houston) I would recommend Laila's business to any lady who's interested in getting threaded.

She also gave me the exact cut that I asked for, and lots of advice on growing longer and stronger hair. There is no way that I am going back to my LA salon... The vibe is pleasant and I am always offered a beverage. However, I had one bad experience with a manicure by "new talent". She didn't round the corners of my nails and they were sharp; the polish started peeling on some nails after only 4 days. There is a lot of turnover of staff there and I have not had consistency.
